I agree mosco, learning to drive a manual car is certainly not a “I’m behind the wheel and I know how to do this now” type of thing lol

I've been waiting for you to meet Anders for this specifically. The immediate dislike of the man. I felt it too. Solidarity! Johanna could have done so much better. Hilda deserves a dad who'll be around. That Alfur was on him immediately was... validating. I cannot tell you how many times I've been that friend. I'll grant, that's the way Anders is written though, so we're not exactly supposed to like him. The whole mess is a bit heartbreaking. Clearly Johanna felt something for him at some point. But given how many times he's run away from responsibility, she's come to see him as an unreliable acquaintance. And for as much as he's hurt her, she's more concerned about him hurting Hilda. She sees the car peeling off and doesn't give it a second thought. There he goes, running away again. The little jabs Hilda takes at him for not being around are deserved. Also, Hilda low key letting us know she has PTSD from her time as a troll. I have a friend who actually had that kind of relationship with her dad. The reckless adventure part, not the absenteeism. One of her favorite stories to tell is being woken up at 2am, being told to wear black so that she and the old man could repo a stolen vehicle. Local legend. I was tasked with giving his eulogy.

I loved your talk about manual car as I drive one as well. Anytime I drive an automatic it feels so weird and wrong to me. So I get what you you’re talking about. Love your reactions

Yep. Colorful mucus... sinus infection. Honestly, it usually takes antibiotics to clear up, at least with my wife. I learned on an automatic...but learned (roughly) how to drive a manual when my Uncle said "hey, you want to drive my new car?" I understood the principles...but I stalled a lot. A whole lot. Still, my next three cars were manuals, just recently got a automatic, in fact. At least in California, a license is a licence - no manual & automatic versions.

Whenever I drive an automatic I stomp the floor every time I stop, since I'm reflexively trying to use the clutch.
