I don't know if you heard about but RWBY also has a 2d anime set between volumes 2 and 3 called Ice Queendom! Ruby's laugh at Weiss is so funny, one of my favorite moments. Fun fact is that the combo moves are all based on ship names by the FNDM in early days, though only two of them have stayed the same through all the years.

Fun fact As you already picked up lots of the RWBY characters are based off fairytale and mythological characters. Penny is based off Pinocchio as when she lies she hiccups and her weapons are connected to strings like a puppet. My overall favorite character

hey tublerone. I actually didnt mean to block sam specifically, and ive been trying to find the settings for that (i cant find blocked users so im looking it up now). I dont want to have the mods blocked, i know who yall are and if that was my goal youd all be blocked by now (which isnt the case). As for Nat, i wont because i found a comment they made towards me (not as a mod, just as a commenter) unacceptable. I did not like their attitude. But for sam i do apologize

even now the results seem to show how to unblock from a creators POV but im not a creator so i cant figure it out (sorry sam 😭) but for nat, i actually dont remember entirely. I just know it was most likely a non-video post (so like a poll or announcement or something) but thats as far as i can remember. I think i didnt like their attitude for a while and that reply was just that one where i was like "ik theyre a mod but i'm kinda over this" so i blocked them. Im sorry

No one else that I've seen react to RWBY ever seems to consider what happened to all the cars and the people that were in them during the chase scene. Like, did a whole lot of civilians just get seriously injured or maybe even die? The cars were literally being thrown left and right 😅.

just fyi mosco, it was poorly rendered but Penny DID have a backpack that her weapon came out of during the fight in the Volume 1 finale so Ruby not knowing she was a synthetic person up to this point is reasonable

And (mostly) the fan-bases' shipping names. Ruby x Weiss is usually called White Rose by the FNDM.

And so we get one of the few White Rose (Ruby x Weiss pairing) moments where Ruby clam-jams Weiss from going with Neptune out of hand. Sort of missed but when Penny was hugging Ruby, she was squeezing a /bit/ to hard, so Ruby's "I can see why he'd want to protect such a delicate flower" was strained. That is Sun's semblance. Like his fictional inspiration of Sun Wukong (From the Chinese myth Journey to the West) Sun can make clones. Though only 2 at a time I've seen and only for limited duration. Weiss' glyph she put on Blake was the equivalent of a Haste spell/buff. One of this things that makes Weiss one of my favorites, the versatile mage unit.

RWBY is one of those immersive series where one needs to listen and understand the songs in order to get into the head of some of these characters. And World of Remnant really helps fill in those gaps where, some things aren't explained in the show proper so supplementary materials such as the song's lyrics and World of Remnant vids really assist with that. Plus remember, Aura is a centrical part of a hunstman/huntress' being. It's how Yang and the others can withstand hits. It's why Ruby wasn't so concerned when Yang was hit because she assumes, Yang will just bounce back. Hmmm....that just gave me something to think about LOL.

Until I found out Miles and Kerry revealed that originally the exposition was supposed to be for Sun and Neptune but they forgot to include them in this scene so last minute changes were putting both of them at the ramen cart. But yeah…that was supposed to be for the himbos LOL

lol. For some reason the first time I watched it when it first broadcast I didn’t make a big deal of it. Maybe because I thought that they had aura. Then I remembered, that just like Jaune, not everyone has awakened their aura. So yeah maybe they did die. I don’t even think they could use the “Rule of Funny” in this scene. Which is why I don’t know why detractors always think volumes 1-3 were the gold standard 😓

I am just going to say this and it’s not a spoiler. Neptune is not a bad guy. He has no relation or connection to Mercury other than being named after planets. There is no reason to continue to be sus of him.

This just shows my PJO hyperdixation kicking in at weird times: The first time I heard Neptune's name all I could think about is Poseidon's Roman counterpart/ ,,persona"... I don't remember many Roman counterparts off the top of my head that often. (It took me a while to get confortable with Roman names and such in HoO after PJO)

Episode 3: Another fun fact: Penny being an android is something even CRWBY admits to being their worst kept secret. I’ve always loved the new outfits for our girls. Yang’s is my favorite. Those outfits also have names. Ruby’s is Slayer, Weiss’ is Snowpea, Blake’s is Intruder, and Yang’s is Hunter. “Ooh, look at me. My name is Weiss. I know facts. I’m rich” is actually an ad-lib from Ruby’s VA (Lindsey). And we love them for it. Episode 4: Neopolitan was based on a genderbent Roman Torchwick cosplay Monty saw at a con and he literally threw her into this episode very shortly before it aired. Ok so some notes about Yang’s semblance because people tend to get confused. 1) She has to take damage for her to use it. If she doesn’t take damage, she can’t use it. 2) Her hair must be glowing, and her eyes turn red. 3) Her eyes turning red ALONE does NOT mean she is using her semblance. Her eyes turning red by themselves is due to her emotions. Hope this helps. And as people have likely already mentioned, Ruby calling out the attack moves is a nod to the ship names between characters the FNDM had come up with, while also changing a couple. Freezerburn - Weiss and Yang, Checkmate (also known as Monochrome) - Blake and Weiss, Ladybug - Ruby and Blake, Bumblebee (the ship name is actually spelled Bumbleby) - Blake and Yang, and Ice Flower (more commonly known as White Rose) - Weiss and Ruby. Buzz buzz!!!!

My first thought on seeing Penny was also "She's a robot." Like the second I first saw her. The Simple Wok noodle shop where Sun and Neptune are eating is a reference to another Rooster Teeth project, "A Simple Walk Into Mordor."

I'm sure someone's mentioned it, but Penny WAS wearing a backpack during the fight with the White Fang, THAT'S where her blades came out of. It's one of the things the creators wished they could've changed, because it's not very obvious when you first watch it and don't pause to look properly, and it's THE thing that has gotten a lot of people to immediately feel validated in thinking Penny's a robot.
