So fun fact about White's "you're still a part of me that I have to repress" line: Notice how her character design has different shades of white in it? If you crank up the saturation to max, those shades of white actually have subtle amounts of yellow, blue and pink within it, so she really is suppressing the imperfections from the other colors

so my theory is that when White took Pinks pearl from her she decided to make a new Pearl for Pink using a piece of each diamond to make her more stable and less likely to indulge Pinks shenanigans(at least White thought lol). The reason I think this is because the pearls belonging to the diamonds are all single colors, the have no other colors in thier design, except for our Pearl who has all four colors in her design, she also has her Pearl on her forehead and White has her Diamond on her forehead so White is ultimately the one who created her.

Btw the reason why the fusion dance between Steven and pink Steven look so amazing is because it was animated by the legendary James Baxter, who animated classic scenes from films like The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Shrek 2, etc..

I'm pretty sure this is right - there was a prevailing fan theory that 'our' Pearl was originally White's and she was swapped with Pink's original Pearl, but I believe you're correct about what her four colours mean. White, it seems, never felt that she herself needed a Pearl. (EDIT: Edited to make sure I didn't give any inadvertent spoilers here! I haven't seen the movie or Future yet... only going off this series and general internet stuff)

Its a rule in the show that everything is from Steven's POV. So when he was split into his human and gem components, the first person perspective shot was a split screen. I agree it's very clever!

Also, back in "Now We're Only Falling Apart", Pearl mentioned that she had been given to Pink Diamond around the same time she was given the Earth to colonize. But the Diamonds are likely millions of years old, so she would have had a Pearl before then. Also, since Yellow and Blue Diamonds' Pearls are the same color as them, it would raise the question of why Pearl isn't.

4:48 - Just a warning, if you you start reacting to Adventure Time (which is likely, as it's currently in the lead right now), you're going to be doing a LOT of skipping, and potentially missing quite a bit as a result. There's a LOT of wacky (but admittedly mostly fun) filler that has nothing to do with the plot, but there's also a lot of plot-related stuff tucked away in things that look like it's just filler at the time, and it's almost impossible in the moment to tell the difference. 14:35 - I'd mentioned in an earlier episode that Blue and Yellow appeared to each be stuck in the Depression and Anger stages of the Five Stages of Grief. It was actually confirmed that the characters were designed around the Five Stages of Grief: White was Denial, Yellow was Anger, Blue was Depression, and Pink (and Steven) was Bargaining. Only when Steven got them all to listen and communicate with each other were they able to finally move on to Acceptance. 14:55 - Remember when Pearl said she didn't like eating because it felt "deeply unsettling"? Imagine what it must seem like to the Diamonds. I mean, just look at Blue's face as she watches Steven and Connie. 40:03 - Yep, we get a rapid-fire sequence of the Fusions that we couldn't have because of the show being cut short. 41:03 - Rainbow Quartz. If that character design isn't blatantly queer-coded, I don't know what is. Heck, they even trail a rainbow! 44:35 - Sunstone, a.k.a. "What 4th wall?" I think they confirmed that it's not just an in-universe thing, but that Sunstone is in fact speaking to us, the actual literal viewers. 49:00 - Obsidian. Yep, it's the Temple. According to the book "Steven Universe: Art and Origins" published in 2017, the Temple was originally named "the Obsidian Temple" (the book is also the first instance of White Diamond's name, and showed maps of Beach City and Earth, where South America is named "Pangea", New Zealand is named "New Australia", and the sea in the middle of Russia is called "the Tunguska Sea". 53:25 - Obsidian's sword was inspired by the Flameblade, Great Flameblade, and Great Frostblade from Breath of the Wild (its resemblance to the Crucible sword from Doom Eternal is entirely coincidental, as the game was released a year after this episode). Fun fact, the sword can be seen the episodes "Bubble Buddies" when Steven and Connie are underwater and in "Ocean Gem" after Lapis drains the ocean. There was a lot of speculation about it at the time. 1:26:20 - That was a very popular theory about Pearl and Pink Pearl, especially since we saw Pink Pearl with Pink Diamond in Steven's nightmare where he was coughing up hair. 1:26:43 - Yeah, there's a lot of music in the movie. I don't think it could be really considered a "musical", but the music is an important part of it. There's a popular theory that the Collector trying (and failing) to befriend Phillip in the Owl House finale was a jab at how Steven was able to get White Diamond to change just by talking to her.

The last show to get a 10/10 from me was Reservation Dogs.

The thing I love the most about this, is they are each different parts! White is the Mind, Blue is emotion, Yellow is physicality/toughness, and Pink is 'heart' or 'soul'. So theoretically, Pink is the most powerful or at least on par with White, because it's literally heart versus mind!!! :D It's an amazing thing that I just absolutely love about the show, how they all represent different things. It's also why White despises (or at least misunderstands) Pink so much, White tries to be level headed and rational as the mind all the time, but Pink is impulsive and true to herself (himself as Steven!) as the heart, so they are each other's antithesis. Steven became even stronger thanks to that 'heart' from Pink being fused with THE UNBREAKABLE HUMAN SPIRIT :D So I truly believe Steven is now the most powerful of all of them for sure.

It’s so sad how rushed this finale was because of the show being cancelled, and I wish it was better, but I can respect that Steven universe died opening the door for shows like She-ra and the Owl House
