So you know, you've heard Shep's VA before! It's Indya Moore and they were also 'Brooklyn' in the banned Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur episode you reacted to a few months ago.

Dale Jr

They're also Angel from Pose (effing love that show)

Leslie Risse

I feel your pain, hope you're dealing with ok.

Some Simp

this episode is kinda a response to the criticism of the show that nothing in the world happens unless steven is there to see it

Dinker

Yeah that's was a hot take hopefully Elijah talks to her about.

Sam's Great Adventure

I'm hoping they just meant it's a pain and pile of paperwork and were venting frustration

Film Vagabond

We're in the End Game now. I really didn't expect this show to hold up a mirror to me but the final arc was gutwrenching

WyvernKing99

There was a criticism that nothing happens unless Steven's there to see it. This episode is kind of a response to that criticism. Also, I'm sorry for your loss, I wish you all the best.

WyvernKing99

I'd say that's probably the case. I think she said she used to work for a company that handled unions before switching to YouTube full time.

seteven, go to fuking terapy for god's sake

peachy af

SUF was made for people like mosco who can't handle the change lmao how perfect

14:29 - Shep is playing an Electric Wind Instrument, or EWI (pronounced EE-wee). The show is really emphasizing how Steven REALLY does not like change. We've seen it as far back as the very first episode when he complained about the Big Donut switching from Cookie Cats to Lion Lickers, and in episodes like "Dewey Wins", that Steven has trouble handling when things don't match with his specific view of how things should be or how they've always been. Remember, he IS half-Diamond, and you remember how THEY were. We're also seeing how Steven hides his own problems and doesn't want help from anyone else. He has a HUGE savior complex, which like his aversion to change we've also seen throughout the entire series. He can't ask for help because HE'S the one who helps other people with THEIR problems, he can't bear putting the burden of his own problems on others. Unfortunately, going any further into this subject approaches dangerously close to spoilers for the rest of the show.

31:12 - Steven actually doesn't talk to anyone about his problems much in the OG series. He never tells anyone what's bothering him till he reaches a tipping point. Like when Ruby and Sapphire were arguing, or when he and Connie were fighting, or that time he went into Rose's room to talk to "her". A lot of the traits he's exhibiting now were there in the OG, too. Just in smaller doses. He spends all his time listening to other people's problems and not processing his.

Unions also have different forms and functions in other countries where employee rights are less constantly on the rocks like in the Americas. Not sure what they look like in Scotland, but it wouldn't surprise me if they're more formally recognized.

Curtis Harvey

As a cactus enthusiast myself, I appreciate the pun, but am disappointed that no actual prickly pears were featured in the episode.

Ross Lyons

I can identify with Steven being upset about Sadie Killer and the Suspects. My friends used to be in a band that I loved that broke up not long after we graduated too, it really sucked at the time!

Phoenix_mercury

yup those "drips" of the traits have always been there, they drip and drip until they "overflow" and spill out, only those "drips" are bigger now so take less to reach the point of spilling

Cullen

I consider Steven Universe Future to be a lot of fan service (as in we get to see previous gems return or get to see more about gems we barely got to see like Volleyball, Sunstone, etc). Little Graduation almost feels like anti-fan service with Lars and Sadie not being together and the Suspects breaking up. It's real and a part of life for things not to go by some satisfying narrative structure and really enjoyed this (even though on one level it is sad)

cosmotron

Was going to say this exact thing. When I rewatched SU with my cousin who hadn't seen it, I kept noticing behaviors Steven exhibited even early on that made me go "oh wow that's going to be even more of a visible trait in Future".

Gab Gab

This is the start of the show’s downward spiral (I mean this positively)

Karla

sorry to hear that about your nan' mosco!! hope you feel better soon enough!!

Tessa Anderson

I legit laughed so hard when you said the thing about cactus steven 'being a little prick', and then immediately felt called out by you staring at the camera like a goof XD

JeepersPeepers

I find it funny that steven got ragebaited by himself. reminds me of that video of a cat getting increasingly mad at one of those sound replaying toys. lol

SauceyRed

I really love how good the show is at making you feel like Steven does about all the changes. Not only because we've gotten used to things as Steven has, but also because we've seen everything from Steven's perspective.
