They did the "woe" puns last season too. It's because "Wednesday's child is full of woe". It's a line from an old nursery rhyme, abd I believe how the character originally got her name.

Professor Orloff (the head in water glass) is played by Christopher Lloyd. Who played Uncle Fester in the Addams Family movies, Doc Brown in Back to the Future, Judge Doom in Who Framed Roger Rabbit, and many other iconic roles. So happy to see him in this, especially since we had Christina Ricci, who originally played Wednesday, in season 1

Chris

if you're wondering why the floating head might look familiar to you because he was uncle fester in the original Adams family movies, he's also the main old guy from back to the future

I agree re: romance and I think you really hit the nail on the head: establishing characters. I was sitting here going 'why do I so much prefer the idea of Enid and Wednesday together? I'm totally cool with hetero romances, it's just...' It's because Bruno has 0 dimension other than 'another werewolf who seems vaguely pleasant.' Maybe that will change, but... yeah. Establish characters first. And if you don't have enough time to flesh out the character, don't bother with the subplot.

Dort is definitely my least favorite character so far but I feel like they did an excellent job choosing the actress for Agnes. She just comes off so perfectly creepy. I really hope something happens to Bruno though 😒

"Consider me your dark cloud." "Always." and Enid's entire thing about not being able to imagine her life without Wednesday followed by her love interest being like 'wish I had someone like that' as a way to flirt? Excuse me? There is no way these writers aren't doing this on purpose. I'm not saying they're going to do Wenclair in the end, but come on. Also, Hunter did phenomenal. While I don't care much for the character (once the twist was revealed he became a lot more interesting) but Hunter is a great actor. I will say this until it's no longer needed but Free Bianca!!!

Lonely Pancake

The actress did so well as Agnes but the whole time I'm just thinking "can someone put this bitch down please"

I love when shows have a running theme for their episode titles, like Wednesday (woe), Carmen Sandiego (caper), First Kill (first), and Warrior Nun (Bible verses). And I would be remissed if I didn't mention Friends and their meta titles ("The one where ____"). I was *just* about to ask if you had seen any Thestrals! And yes, JK Rowling is a rusted cunt. Fortunately, The Owl House exists so my nieces won't miss out on their witchy phase. It's not mean! Pugsley asked Ajax if he could stone him when they first met. I can only imagine the mischief E-lijah would get into if she could remote control a dismembered, ambulatory hand. Be grateful that her little robot is confined to the XY plane (assuming a Z-up scene). Why do I feel like Elijah's gonna clip "I'm very bottom" and use it against you... Nathaniel Faulkner: "Do I get to wear a shirt this season?" Writers: "No." 100% agree with Bruno being a plot device. All we know about him is he's a bit of a diva, and was a late bloomer. Next episode, Enid and Wednesday get stranded in a cabin in the woods, and there's only one bed! And it's a full moon! Hilarity and hijinks ensue.

A Dead Diehard

I remember the term "heterosexual shackle" being used and think it might apply to this.

Joey Quixote

Seeing you light up when E-lijah rolls into the room is precious. I was thinking maybe there's a point to Enid's partners being generic. With superficial character development and a pretty face, maybe the implication is that Enid is just going through the motions. Like dating someone is just an item on the agenda. If that's the case, does her romance arc end with her realizing she's enough and doesn't need a partner for validation? Or maybe she'll discover her true "ride or die". Agnes. This kid creeps me out. But i like her as an addition to the cast. I don't know where this is going, if she'll endear herself to Wednesday, if she'll become her Moriarty, or if she'll die before the season is over.

WyvernKing99

I love you you light up when Elijah steps in. Also yeah, there's no way the writers aren't at least acknowledging the ship. "I wish I had someone like that"? Come on. Oh and, Hunter was great.

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

I just wanted to offer my deepest condolences on your loss. *hugs*

Chris P3

It may not be the same as watching a person die, but I was there when my first dog was put down. The way her eyes changed once she was gone…

Chris P3

Might not necessarily be flirtatious. Girl friendships can have a level of intimacy and closeness that guys generally don't have, so it might have simply been envy.

Arianod

Sorry about your loss, Mosco. I hope you and your loved ones are fine.
