Yes! Here it is: the lore episode! 🤩🌹❤️🤍🖤💛

LaviPastelQueen

Oooh I'm so excited for these reactions 🥰

Annieme

Oop! Let’s gooooooooo

Justin Payne

Been waiting for this one :)

Suplee215

We dont know what "young maiden" means but I think jts safe to say Glynda is too old.

Ryan

OOH, LORE! "I don't trust-" DRINK! If Mosco ever gets a cat, it will either be fascinated or terrified of E-lijah. "Break a leg, sis!" "Not an actual leg, please!" I cackled... "I don't trust-" DRINK! "I don't trust-" DRINK! ---- Up to this point, Mosco was probably wondering why Elijah wants to be here for emotional support. And now she sees... this is not a fairy tale. There will be no happily ever after. This is the beginning of the end, Mosco. And we can't wait to watch you squirm.

Evil Queen

The questions are going to just keep amplifying now from Mosco lmao

Karel Hill

I wouldn't trust qrow personally. "Hitmonlee vs Hitmonchan" LOL ELIJAH!!! SPOILERS!!!!

SQX Barto

Neon was shittalking on purpose. (Not sure if she knew her semblance or not.)

Isadora

Pyrrha having a conversation with Amber wouldn't help, first because they don't know if Amber would wake up, and second because it's a very special case where a maiden power has been half stolen, so they can't be sure it will "behave" like a regular transfer at her death.

BartonBelladonna

I know that Mosco is never going to see this, since the comments have been real spoiler heavy at the beginning, but I just love how mistrusting she is to everyone, and for the future, it's going to be really funny to see her reactions to who is actually good, who truly was untrustworthy, and seeing her reactions to when she is wrong or not XD

Dafydd Mac an Leigh

Miles & Kerry are usually extremely tight-lipped about scenes or ideas they had to cut, in case they can be used in future volumes. One exception to this was a fight in the Doubles Round, since it was so specific to this particular tournament: Pyrrha and Nora would have gone up against Sun and Neptune, and it would have featured the only environment created for the arena that was not shown onscreen in this volume. Had this made it into the show, however, Team Hot & Useless would have been eliminated from the Tournament, meaning Sun could not advance to the Singles Round. So I'd imagine he's relieved it got cut for time.

CrowOfAFeather

I love her wild theories lol Glad she had Elijah there at the end to correct her about what happened, without spoiling. Can't wait for next week!

Curtis Murphy

I'd say mid to late 20's might be the cut off imo

Curtis Murphy

Neon was just thrash talking to get into Yang's head to rattle her. There was no malicious intent involved.

RetroBeastto

And so the stress of volume 3 begins. Loving your reactions

Geass

The name of the chapter is "Fall" Masco: Is she related to Summer?

Episode 5: Fun observation about how Yang fights after Weiss gets knocked out. She uses her semblance charged shots to break the ground so Neon can’t skate, and then goes straight for Flynt since he’s closest to being done and to throw Neon even more off beat. And once Neon trips the game is over. I also love the remixes of This Will Be the Day and I Burn that plays during the fight. Episode 6: Right, so some clarification for the rules of the Maidens. As stated the powers are transferred to women, and cannot be transferred to “dudes or some old hag”. Miles and Kerry (the writers) later gave the age of 30 as the cut off for eligibility for a woman to inherit the power. As stated as well, the powers go to whoever was in the Maiden’s final thoughts, unless they don’t fit the criteria and then the powers find someone random who does. Again, this is just clarification. Also, I can’t remember the exact term for the hardware, but I remember in the commentary one of them mentioned that Pyrrha and the adults walking down that long corridor almost broke their animation processors because it was pushing Poser to its limits. One of my favorite fights is Merc vs Yang. Genuinely always down for a good hand to hand combat scenario. That slowed down piano of I Burn was unnecessary CRWBY! It was just mean!

Hollyhock

CRWBY confirmed it was 'about 30'

Tigerhawk

Please watch quicker so Elijah can sit in one this volumes final. :D

NatMcK7

[Mod] She's trying but please remember she is dealing with A LOT right now, including a loss in the family among other things. Please be patient.

Ironic, the only adult trusted is the alcoholic loner. I mean, fair, the downside of 'young adult'/teenager-focused stories is that adults are required to not be around and/or helpful. Neon Katt (based off the Nyan Cat meme, thus the rainbow behind her when she's skating) is... a character. Fun to see, much less so to be around I'd bet. Weiss is constantly getting forced to apologize/face reflected consequences for the actions of her family, yes. Though it's actually pretty much just from her dad. Maybe, we don't get a lot about her grandfather but the idea that any character, off-screen or not, based off Saint Nick (He's named Nicholas Schnee) as a cruel/greedy corporate CEO is... not impossible sure, but counter-intuitive. So, all or most of the blow back she's getting, is all from one man. Always fun that Mosco hears one thing, pauses and goes off on an idea tangent for that bit just dropped, when half the time, the next couple sentences would answer several questions and assumptions. Though they do make for fun 'what-if'isms. Qrow is roughly based off the two birds used by Odin (Munin for Qrow) and on the Scarecrow from the Wizard of Oz. Maiden powers seem to only be movable to someone under 30, as awesome as it would be to have Glynda get magic, she's just (believed to be) too old now. Also, Pyrrha is 17 to 18, like the rest of _WBY and JNPR. You kept adding years as you considered her, first 18, then 19. :p

Luminaxtea

Yep, it was 100% just her strategy, which on the surface just looks like immature petty shit talk, but in hindsight is actually a devastatingly effective way to isolate team mates during a doubles round, especially if you know one of your opponents is a hothead. Angry opponents are more likely to screw up and make careless mistakes, and by constantly insulting her Neon effectively drew all of Yang's focus exclusively onto herself, making Weiss' existence during the fight an afterthought, which is exactly what FNKI wanted.

Verdant Crown

Pyrrha is a wonderful, strong and capable person, but I'm still very bitter over the fact that they (the adults) decided to put all of that pressure and responsibility on the shoulders of a first year student rather than an adult huntress.

Vex Valor

The power can only pass to a young woman so Glynda might not be able to receive it. She is in her 40s and we don't know how young they must be in order to receive it. This season is so good and I love Pyrrha so much.

Eric Smith

Shout out to that one Eunnieverse comic lol

supersoaker

I'm pretty sure that's because of age and they were starting to get desperate. At least they were smart about it, asking Pyrrha (the best student of her grade) instead of someone like Ruby who was moved ahead

SK- Eferthigra

hey just so you know what happened on screen is what actually happened id love to do a full breakdown of this fight next episode because it is so smart when you know what the plan was you realise just how practiced that outcome was

Rachel Mae

God Yang looking so confused and scared after seeing what crowd saw wasn’t what she experienced breaks my heart every time

Nihilero

Remember during mercury and emerald's fight the opponents hallucinated

Deniolia

i love in the final moments of the episode, with yang looking around so confused, and its playing her theme. if you put the lyrics to the melody, one of the last sets of lines are "im more than meets the eye" literally saying "thats not what happened im not the monster you think i am"

Phoenix_mercury

It's hilarious how neons trash talk works on some people watching too🤣🤣

Curtis Murphy

Yeah. I get it though. Some people get really attached to characters and are defensive for them

man-of-bvz1n3ss

Welcome to the part where RWBY gets real.

Austin

Something no one ever points out is that Mercury was literally throwing the match to sell the act

Suplee215

Rewatching. One funny thing is weiss assessment was right. Team FNKY was extremely organized amd disciplined and stragetic. The stragety was seperate them in those match ups with taunts and to keep yang from focusing by cosntsntly mocking her as Neon avoids her with super speed. But you cam only dodge for long and ifnyou cant take down your oppenent youre in trouble. Especially when you keep powering her uo

ELS_Art

Neon was getting under Yang’s skin to throw her off her game, she’s not a bitch she’s just smarter than people give her credit for.

LikeCat

Neon is smart, but with a „dash" (pun intended) of snarky style... And I (and many others) LOVE her for it.

Suplee215

Itll help pyrrha feel less guilty at least

CRuhl_Para_TPT911

For the Maidens and “the person last in their thoughts”, it can probably be assumed that during their lives they will be looking for potential heirs to the power. Training them and preparing them in the event they should be called to take the reins. “And why is the Vault hallway so long when you only have one item here?!?” 😁 Now I have only gotten to Vol. 4 so far, but with this episode there is a theory about a Plan B Ironwood has been cooking up and hiding from the others: 1) He has had Penny developed, an android that actually possess an Aura. 2) A machine able to transfer Auras between individuals. Ergo,…what if the ultimate goal is capture all the Maidens and transfer their abilities into, at least, four creations like Penny?

Vegvisir92

you really don't understand the concept of combating the mindset in a fight beyond actual physical fighting, you'd lose instantly in a fight if someone started talking to you Neon Cat knows she can't always beat people physically....it might seem bad but knocking someone off centre with words is no different to blindsiding them with a fist. She works her opponents down with words rather than fists and takes them out after they wear themselves out chasing her...obviously it didn't work out for her at this point but she isn't a bad person, she just takes advantage during combat.

Faroth

Never miss a beat: barbarian berseker and wizard bladesinger vs bard of valor and monk of elements

Christopher Groenewald

There is actually a not unsupported theory that Glinda is actually the Summer Maiden and is simply hiding it. It would explain the incredible magical feats she has been shown to perform (she stood toe-to-toe against Cinder in V1 Ch1). It would also explain wh she wasn't even considered for the powers of the fall maiden, since we see later the "Young women" doesn't necessarily have to mean teenager, just someone youthful.
