Book Rook

Yesssss these are two of the best episodes of the show IMO

Kaity

Fun fact: the bismuth casual episode was actually supposed to have mystery girl instead of bismuth but it was sadly scrapped

voyager-ngc5195

Congrats on reaching the top of the roller coaster!

Jx

The temple statue is Obsidian lol

Sam's Great Adventure

The next two are my favorites but these are really good ones too

voyager-ngc5195

Was it? Mystery Girl was Jesse Zuke's creation. Given how he was bullied out of the show by the fandom over the Lapidot situation, I'm not sure how I'd feel about her being in this episode...

MattTOB

Regardless of who created Mystery Girl, she's still a part of the show. Separate the art from the artist, y'know?

Taigan

I agree that Bismuth giving Pearl space is good for her. But I also think Pearl is the type that needs to be hit over the head before she’ll realize someone is into her.

voyager-ngc5195

Certainly they had every right to use Mystery Girl, but I also believe Rebecca respected her artists more than that. Especially one who'd been so harrassed by the fandom.

alovieruu

tbf pearl and bismuth is better than pearl and mystery girl anyways, they have a lot more history and chemistry imo

Christopher Herrera

Who would’ve thought that when Steven and the gang beat the diamonds, any problem that is self imposed after would make the show feel different

Christopher Herrera

If you haven’t already seen it there is an anime that’s kinda short about ice skating I’d love to see you watch it’s called yuri on ice

morthasa

I'm just an oblivious guy, but FWIW I wouldn't have noticed the nose (non)issue if you hadn't pointed it out.

Phoenix_mercury

She doesn't do anime bcz the copyright stuff around it is a nightmare

Squat

I feel like it wouldn't be cheating for him to kiss a fictional character in a dream for the sake of creating a show. Otherwise actors would be cheating on their spouses every time they need to kiss another actor in a film.

Squat

That "fusion" that was skating was Crazy Lace Agate, a previously corrupted gem.

Someday Sera

Sure, but she can watch it on her own

Hulk Lover

We technically have GN bathrooms, but we call them Family Restrooms

Hulk Lover

"She must not have liked it because she just handed me some code and walked away" lol

ArcticBanana

We're starting to see even deeper into Steven's issues. His Savior Complex is so deeply ingrained that almost his entire personality centers around helping others, and if he can't help or if there's nothing to help with, he has no idea what to do with himself; at the same time, he can't ask anyone else for help with his own issues because then he's putting his problems onto them, so he "helps" by not doing that and just keeping it all bottled up. Bismuth and Pearl are very shippable. We even saw they had some chemistry back in the first Bismuth episode, not to mention Bismuth is totally Pearl's type: physically large, colorful hair, and kind of a dork. I also love how emotionally intelligent Bismuth is; Steven would have left his issue completely unaddressed if not for Bismuth clocking the problem immediately and setting him straight.

iKirbeeburgr

"would you consider it cheating if your partner chose to kiss somebody in their lucid dream" I've seen people consider it cheating when they dreamed their partner kissed someone else 😭

NatMcK7

[Mod] Can confirm though she's seen it, she loves it. We did a whole watch party on the patreon server too ages ago

CaptainChar

tape my dreams, err they either are dark or just really spicy... so its just an 80s action movie >_>

AbsurdToastling

Welcome to SU Future's Better Half, literally. This is where it all starts making sense, imo, and the throughline of all 20 episodes becomes clear

Film Vagabond

It's really funny that she said it didn't feel personal when I think this has the most personal stakes but I think it's valid to feel like it's a slow build up especially when for the first half you can't imagine what they're building towards

Chris P3

There are a few dreams I used to have that I wish I’d recorded.

Symbolic Remnant

As a wise man on YouTube once said: “If your wife dreams that you cheated on her… go ahead and cheat on her, because as her husband, it’s your job to make all her dreams come true!”

StrawberryPanic

I want to know what the hell happened to Mystery Girl

Camaleonino#

just wait for the next episodes, couse those are the calm before the storm, the next ones are happy, believe me :D

Max Boocheck

The statue is the original fusion between rose Garnet, amethyst and pearl

SammyDaPonk

The statue was Obsidian, from the Steven universe finale

LikeCat

Yeah... Like its easy for us to say „But it all makes sense" to Mosco when we KNOW what the end-game IS.

Christopher Bartsch

The visual of Steven reaching out to Dream Peridot against the visual of the classic TV "Color Bars" screen is genuinely one of my favorite looks in any part of Steven Universe

Chance

Hey, Moscow, I heard about your aunt passing away. I'm so sorry to hear about that. I'm having some family issues. Well, my Grandma is really sick right now and it's been a couple of days and I've been really stressed but you and Elijah's video I knew elijah Morgan. Went on new debts as videos. I've been helping me get through this right now. When I'm rowing, you did not. So thank you so much for everything that you guys do, especially when I'm having such a hard ti'm with family or with family situation and I really, really appreciate you for that. Keep up the good work and I if you need a voice actress for project t. I've never done any voice acting work. But I would like to dip my toe into it. So you need somebody to voice a character in American.I would like to try so yeah

Angelus Lupus

We also called toilets the bog' in Kent (S.. England for non-UK folks) - at least we did when I was at school. I think I still refer to the thing you scrub the toilet with as a 'bog brush'! Just noticed this is mistakenly tagged as 'Ducktales' BTW

sidney

Only goes down hill from here, folks..

peachy af

exactly i literally had to pause when she said that bc i was like "what is she even on about?"

Jay

its often called bog roll in Australia as well

Fabi

The calm before the storm...

Arianod

Pearl's first interaction with Bismuth (in-show) consisted of her happily jumping into Bismuth's arms, and then the two of them started bantering. I mean, the ship's kind of been there from day one ^^

POMMERA Pierre-Emmanuel

9:56 It would be interesting, but when I see some dreams are difficult to translate on paper because there is sometimes multiples things happening at once, I don't know how it could be done.

Kaity

I believe you can find concept art but in the background it has little Steven so it might’ve been a scrapped episode before Steven universe future and bismuth casual is possibly just a slight remake

Nokomis Bracken

There's a bathroom in the grocery store in my backwards little town that doesn't even have doors on the stalls. 🙃

Tracey Firestone

Please don't apologize for being adorable! I loved the demo of you getting to this point.

Corvo Joka

I think it would be a cheating act.

Di.L.F.

I noticed that you only remembered Ronaldo Fryman, a.k.a. "Bloodstone," as the brother of Frybo, the horrifying mascot of the fry shop. How fitting after what he did. 🤣🤣🤣

Speed1247

A kiss in a dream that they initiated through the dream no A lucid dream where they actively made that choice, probably, but there are layers of lucidity, I've been aware of dreaming but not in full control before and I've had dreams where I was in a different mentality due to the dream. (Where my brain considered what was happening to be normal or acceptable). Unless they are showing signs of problems outside of dreams I wouldn't get too upset over it, because that is just one sign, if it never reaches outside of a dream then it's a one off situation, perhaps worthy of being a bit upset over, but not worthy of holding it against them without further reasoning.

SauceyRed

My god the part where Steven breaks down in his dream and Peridot wakes him up and comforts him always gets several tears out of me. The visuals make it hit harder somehow. And now I have a runny nose grahhhh!
