corrupted steven is the best verison of steven cause its him letting everything go

Annieme

It’s over isn’t it? :’)

Liam Gradwell

It’s over and I don’t think we’ll ever move on. 😢🌈💖

cosmotron

Well, time to cry again.

cosmotron

I love Steven Universe Future personally. I wish more shows were able to have these kinds of epilogues. Could it have been tightened up a bit? Sure, but I don't think there's as many 'filler' episodes as it might seem at first. When you're initially watching, you're wondering what the plot is going to be, who the villains are, etc. But the truth is that the plot is there from the start, as is the antagonist of it: and that's Steven's emotional and mental state. That's what Future is about, ultimately, and nearly all of the episodes I think really do lead well into that, including the early ones, and I noticed that on rewatch in particular.

Chris P3

Isn't it? Isn't it over?

Haldon Lindstrom

So glad you stuck with it! Personally, I feel Steven Universe Future was ok. It was a little preachy in some areas, but I think that was more a function of being so short. Honestly, I could have used a full 26 episode run, just to give things a chance to expand a bit. Not as good as the original run, but better than the end of the last season (which was SO RUSHED! I loved it, but RUSHED!). Excited to see what you're getting into next!

morthasa

Thank you for this journey

Wee Lass Reacts

I can look at the comments now :') Thanks for coming on this journey with me folks, what a journey it was. Thank you for supporting me and my content and I hope most of you stick around for other shows to come!!!

LikeCat

I felt the same way with SUF as what I felt when watching the last episode of Kipo: Thats IT??! I need more! 😭😭

Wilhelm Hedin

I joined because of Steven and She-Ra, it got me watching the other reactions. The end of an era but happily not the end of this Patreon. Looking forward to the next big thing, which I of course hope will be Adventure Time, but I'll be here regardless. Thanks. ❤️

Liam Gradwell

Thank You Mosco for the incredible reactions. Glad you enjoyed the show. 💜

Nichole Johnson

Thank you for another great reaction. If you are looking for something Steven Universe related as like a special one off reaction, I highly recommend the "Pearl's Secret Rap Career" by MKatwood. Its super funny and was a big part of the SU fandom culture for a while. There's like 8 videos but they are all like only 1 minute long so it could fit for a one-off. If not for a reaction just check it out in your free time

jessie H

I was crying right along with you! Your reactions have been one of the highlights of my week!

SammyDaPonk

I came to your channel through two shows, gravity falls and Steven Universe. Gravity falls brought me to Elijah, and Steven Universe to you. Little did I know you two would end up together. Without either of those shows I wouldn’t have known the joy you two provide, and it has been an honor watching Steven here. It’s what made me pay for the early vids here too. I was having too much fun to wait! I adore Steven universe and always will, but it was made all the better by having you to watch it with. I adored this series, and can’t wait for Lars of the Stars reactions.

Jx

Thank you Mosco, this has been a wonderful journey! I also had the same reaction as you when I reached the last ep :') btw there are some Steven Universe shorts. They're on YouTube, check them out if you haven't already :p much love ❤️

Spadeas

I have to say, I become a patreon because of this show, I knew that the songs wouldn't be on youtube and I absolutely wanted to see your reaction to it, so that why. But I don't quit either, because now you have RWBY and I love this show even more, so of course I will be here to watch it again with you ^^.

Wee Lass Reacts

RWBY ROCKS ITS SOOO GOOD I AM SO EXCITED I GET TO WATCH IT FOR THE FIRST TIME... never wanted to binge a show this badly, since, well... STEVEN lol

Wee Lass Reacts

I CANT WAIT FOR LARS OF THE STARS!!! You can get your butt imma grab it as soon as it comes out! If you wanted to give a new show a chance I do highly recommend RWBY! It's so charming that it pulled me in after the first volume alone, much like Steven did

Taigan

Can’t remember if I cried when I watched the finale the first time, but I definitely cried this time. 🥲

Alp

o7 joined back around Giant Woman so I could see your reactions to the songs. and now here we are in the future..................

Vex Valor

Animal Crossing stretching exercises is actually something from Japanese culture. It's very popular there to do radio exercises exactly like that one and are morning radio channels dedicated to exactly that. It's something older people especially do a lot to stay fit and it's pretty common for them to go outside and meet up with groups to do these exercises in the morning. That's why you see your Animal Crossing villagers come together in the morning to do those exercises together.

Nokomis Bracken

What an adventure. I discovered you thru Elijah on YouTube a couple years ago watching Hazbin Hotel & Arcane reactions, but I joined the patreon because of Steven. I went thru your backlog and watched all the She-Ra & Arcane reactions, & discovered Jentry Chau thru you. I'm enjoying watching the Wednesday reactions, and I, too can't wait for Hazbin. While I'm not really into the list of potential shows you ended up with (I voted for Kipo), I intend to stick around because I find you to be an absolute fucking delight. Truly a Gem of a human being. ❤️

Cullen

Honestly, I recommend rewatching Future. I think seeing it all in context of the ending makes a lot of the earlier episodes make more sense. It’s really all about Steven’s mental health journey while the other characters are for the most part already actualized.

EmilysJustSaiyan

Oh gosh im crying all over again. It has been such an amazing journey watching your raw reactions to every episode whether you wanted to watch them or not. I appreciate all the time in effort put into this show. It has been so worth it ❤️❤️

Geass

I became a Patreon because of RWBY, but Steven was the main thing I watched on your channel before that. I loved this show when I was younger and always looked forward to the next episode. I wonder what your greeting will be for Lars of the Stars. I don't know anything about that show beyond what we can guess from the title.

ArcticBanana

"Steven Universe Future" seems like a different show from "Steven Universe" because it IS a different show. The other characters, Garnet, Amethyst, Pearl, Lapis, Peridot, etc. already had their character arcs in the original show, while "Future" is all about Steven. "Steven Universe Future" isn't about "Steven Universe" in the future, it's about Steven Universe's future.

Stellar Kruize

Next stop, the stars! I bawled with ya as well ^_^ This is one of my favorite shows also.

Joey Quixote

That the big bad is trauma and the solution is hugs, crying, and therapy is very on brand for this show. I loved it and i miss it. I'm the same with Future. It's a wonderful series, but I haven't really rewatched. I love the concept of our heroes living beyond the final conflict, and rather than it being "happily ever after" it's healing, it's processing, it's rebuilding. It's real. Imagine getting this sort of series for She-Ra with Adora learning to not be the savior. There were so many holy shit moments in Future. The allusion to domestic abuse in Volleyball. Steven trying to kill White. Steven actually killing Jasper. And Steven struggling with his mental health every step of the way. Dr. Maheshwaren completely recontextualized the series when she revealed that every traumatic experience never fully healed. I haven't been able to watch a lot of these shows the same way since. It's hard to pick an individual favorite, but Pearl, Peridot, and Lapis were my favorites. Absolutely a Lapidot shipper. Amethyst was on the fringes for me. Most episodes, she was fine. But when she was the featured character, absolutely loved her!

Kitt of the Weird Woods

When Steven breaks down crying into Lion that makes me cry everytime, because I've been there, back when I was around Steven's age actually, so a while ago now thankfully. But I remember when sometimes no matter how many people were around me, things just got so much that all I could do is break down and cry into a pet's fur, and that was my first step to getting things sorted. That bit is just so familiar to me, I remember how it felt, and I'm both glad to realise how far I've come, but also recognising what Steven is feeling, how far he has to go, but relief that he's taken that step.

gemi.inv

So we can do fake spoilers for Lars of the Stars now, right? Right???

Bairmeid,0172

I had a blast watching your reactions! I've been a fan since your first toh video and when I saw you react to steven universe (and She-Ra) I was so happy! I cannot wait to see what awaits us in the future with Lars of the Stars and other shows like Hazbin and what not! Thank you for reacting!

peachy af

Had fun watching SU with you! I hope to see you again for LotS!

deny

"spinerella" LMAO THAT WAS THE LITTLE SHERA LEFT IN US

Marcy Wu

It over isn't it? I'm still not ready. I became a fan of this channel a year ago when I saw Moscow was reacting to this.

AbsurdToastling

I look at SU and SU Future as being reflections of each other in the sense that, like you outlined, while being named after him and entirely seen through his perspective (hence why we never saw ANYTHING if Steven wasn't present to see or hear about it), the original show was far more about the other gems and especially his mother than it was Steven. Future completely flips that and puts the focus on Steven at the expense of the other characters in the exact same way the original did at Steven's expense. All that trauma, the slow unraveling from Episode 1 to 19, just beautifully done imo. Future benefits from a second watch and easily rockets up the ladder of favorite seasons on that second watch once you know what you're in for and have no expectations for the past anymore, able to take it on its own terms.

Evil Queen

Joined for RWBY, watched the SU reactions and now I’m crying too, thank you for all the laughs and great reactions Mosco! Can’t wait to watch Lars of the Stars with you to continue the SU journey! ✨

The Wolf of Chaos

I did that free trial back when you started last year, now I’m here as a proper Patron of your work for the finale. We’ve come full circle, what a ride

CosmicTransmtation

I cried a little when I first watched the finale but when I rewatched the show a few weeks ago I bawled like a baby 😭

Link Chowschne

Me too! Pets are the best. They don't need an explanation or apology, they wouldn't understand, but they show that wonderful love.

A Dead Diehard

Joined to catch the She-Ra finale early (first started watching looking for good reactiontubers while on vacation) and loved sticking around till the end of SU. Your reactions have been consistently amazing and never fall into the problems way bigger channels fall into. Thanks for the ride!

Midnight Star

I cry every time I watch the finale. But I felt a little more emotional this time around. Ironically enough, I have initiated huge changes in my life in the last few days so that I may set myself on the path to a better future. And it meant letting go of old habits, cutting ties with bad influences, and having to say goodbye to SO many people I loved. And it’s so painful. Things will be tough in the days, weeks and months to come, but I know I will be okay in my future. We all will be alright. Thank you so much for reacting to this series!

Kayla Wolf

so if that was Spinnerella, then Nettossa is married to Spinel?

peachy af

as for my opinion on SUF, i loved it initially. but it gets even better as i age and gain new life experiences and after you rewatch the entire series. i love SUF for how raw it decided to be regarding steven's journey

Noire Queen

So glad you reacted to SU I knew you would love it just like we all did when it came out. Your tears were just like how I was when I first saw the finale series.

Eugene

This final never fails to make me cry time. Every time I watch it I just sob like it's the first time it ended. I'm so glad you watched this and is will be sure to continue to stay tuned for more reactions on other shows ❤️

Cliff

If you don't want it to be over, there's still the Steven Universe shorts!

Ryuutenshi42

Something I remember from when this finale first aired, that they apparently changed for whatever source you got your episodes from: a final kick in the feels, but a good one, the Cartoon Network tag after the credits was changed to instead say "We'll Always Be Your Family".

T. rex

The end, at last!! :') Yeah, this is such an emotionally rich show (both series), it makes sense that so many people revisit it regularly. I remember the first time I watched the movie and SU:F I was disappointed to miss all the bigger-scale stories about the colonies and gem lore and space stuff---but I gave the stories a chance for what they were and found it very rewarding. SU:F feels like a different story because it is a different story; it's much more personal. It's a character study of someone who's come to believe he can't be a whole person unless he's helping others, no matter the cost to himself. It's a heartfelt attempt at answering the question of what happens to the hero after the conflict. I agree with others that it improves on a rewatch. Everything in SU:F follows logically from what happened in SU, and it feels more cohesive the second time through, when you know what to look for. Thanks for sharing your experience of it with us. I'll miss this!

T. rex

Mosco, if you want more SU content to react to (or just to enjoy) there are some official shorts, plus Pearl's Secret Rap Career, and Steven Universe Fear, which you now have the full context for. Also, James Woodall has a fantastic video essay called The Importance of Epilogues (& Steven Universe Future) that goes into how SU:F's plot structure functions as a tragedy, and how it relates to concepts of inner vs. outer evil in storytelling, etc. I recommend!

Christopher Bartsch

I'm definitely more of a fan of Future as a whole, than I am for it's parts. But I think it's vision and thematic goals are focused to an extent higher than anything past Season 2. There's really no filler, save for like 1 or two episodes. Everything is focused on Steven and Steven's own mental health journey. His gradual decline into instability and then his rapid descent into a very ugly place. I think it's a very bold piece of TV, showing the after effects and consequences of a childhood thrust into being a galaxy-saving leader and therapist and rock for all those around you. Steven largely sacrificed his own well-being and desires to serve the greater good of the world and to help those around him. That's a taskload that is simply too much for a child to handle. He flat out shouldn't have had to deal with that shit and that'll leave anyone with a complex state of mind. I love Future for what it aimed to say and how it handled it's approach and while it isn't the perfect continuation of the world that SU proper built, nor is the deepest show for the side characters, I still think is a worthwhile experience for the lens it puts on it's main character. You rarely see a show get THAT introspective outside of some all-time classics like Adventure Time

Wolfie

5:59 This is why the corrupted looked the way they did, they believed they were monsters- their minds and bodies were damaged and they stopped feeling like themselves. This is Steven’s corruption…

Pan Boi

Well, here we are in the future... I love how much both shows love foreshadowing late story things very early on. Not only with Cookie Cat, but how Future's outro and the intro card shows Steven on his journey to discover himself by leaving home and traveling. It's such a beautiful detail that shows just how much everyone working on this show loved it. In many ways, I personally prefer Future to the original, although comparing them feels wrong. They're very different shows in almost every way, they just have the same cast of characters. Going into Future without the knowledge of how different it would be, I think, puts you at a huge disadvantage in enjoying it. You expect a similar type of story telling, with focus on ALL the characters and their own arcs. But... Everyone has gone through their arcs by the time Future comes around, everyone is settled down... Except Steven. I think if they wrote Future more like the original, it wouldn't have been nearly as good. It would have likely ended up with characters re-going through their arcs again, like how many shows end up doing when they continue past their biggest arcs. Future being so fundamentally different, so focused on very specifically Steven and his arc of working out his trauma, was the best thing they could have done for this one. I don't know how else to describe how I feel about the differences between the shows than that. They're just... Too different to properly compare. If that makes any sense. I came across your channel quite a while ago, before Steven Universe- I think it was a little after She-Ra. I've stuck around because you kept reacting to all my favorite shows and I loved to hear what you thought. I bought your movie reaction when it came out so I didn't miss any of your thoughts. Once Future rolled around on your YouTube, I couldn't take it anymore and had to actually join here so I could see your reactions sooner, and uncut, because I wanted to see your reaction to every little bit of this one. I'm so, so excited to see what you watch next after this. Am I hoping for Amphibia specifically? Yes, absolutely. It's such a forgotten and not talked about enough show in the trio of Gravity Falls, The Owl House, and it. I personally loved it after getting through the first few episodes, which, yeah, were a bit of a drag for me. But, whatever you watch next, I'm excited. Thank you for being so genuine in your reactions, even if it hurts my feelings a little bit /j (I'm just sensitive to when people say they dislike something I heavily enjoy)

iKirbeeburgr

"it's felt like an entirely different show" 🌚🌝 it kinda is, yeah. in this "epilogue limited series" (as Rebecca described it during it's reveal), All the characters are different, they've grown, and changed, Steven too has grown and changed, but not entirely for the better, until he finally gets help after being the one giving help his whole life

Lauren Madden

Steven universe is the reason I joined your patreon. I enjoyed watching you react to one of my favourite comfort shows and couldn’t wait to watch more. You’re also the reason I made a patreon account and first/only person I supported to watch Steven universe. I am so happy that you enjoyed watching it and that it meant a lot to you. When I first watched the finale when it came out, honestly, I was in a state of denial and shock. Like I just went through grief and I was just sad. It sounds silly, a show ending made you feel like someone that meant a lot to you died. The show, the characters and the songs did mean everything to me. Mind you it was several years ago the show officially ended. I’ve watched the show in its entirety a few times since then, crying and smiling all over again. Really special. I’m so lucky to be around for a spinoff, no one ever thought Steven universe could come back. Future did feel different because it was. Steven was different, older and had his past catch up to him and hit him in ways he didn’t expect, that’s how trauma goes. Though very different, I highly recommend adventure time. That was my favourite comfort show before Steven universe. Is a lot longer and takes maybe a season or two to get into and start getting good with the story and what not, but I think you might enjoy it. Actually I know you will. The creator of Steven universe, as well as song writer Rebecca Sugar, also helped write the story and songs for adventure time. She worked on that before writing her own show. So maybe that’ll impact your decision or not I’m not sure. It’s entirely up to you although I do understand that you need an audience as there’s not much point if no one watches. I hope to see you react to it someday in the future. Can’t wait until season 2 of hazbin comes out 🙂🙂🙂

starclutters

Steven Universe Future means so much to me, I'm so glad you enjoyed it 🥹 It's also crazy that the outro animation foreshadowed Steven moving away! Love that detail

peachy af

Btw if you liked Mosco's reaction for SU, i think Scoot is a good option if you wanna reexperience this lovely show all over again! He's really funny and loves to make observations (even if they're wrong lol)

Jack Faulkner

Mosco! It has been incredible watching you react to Steven. A show that has been so incredible important to me and my friends. Your thoughts and theories have been amazing to witness. I am a big she-ra fan so I will still be subscribing to watch that as I joined your Patreon maybe around season 3 for Steven. Every week it has been my highlight knowing another episode comes out. It’s been a blast! Thank you 🧡

Gil Pena

**HUGS** the ending gets me every time I watch it. I remember this exact feeling when the world expects us to be “adults” all of the sudden and it felt like everyone else around you figured it out. It just validated what I felt and struggled with.

marauderluverz (Luci)

I convinced myself I was ready to watch the ending of steven universe with you. This is the show that helped me to find your channel. I joined the patreon so I could watch your full reaction to the season 1 big episode with garnet's reveal. Its so hard to find reactions to SU. Getting to watch you meet th characters and learn the secrets has been the absolutely best thing. I am so glad you've been able to enjoy it. Im glad I got to be here for the journey. And im so excited to see any other shows you watch!

Pikagirl

The poster that says Lonely is from those movies and games he played as a kid. Lonely Blade. It's in episodes like when Amethyst and Steven fought and argued over who was the worst gem they were first playing a Lonely Blade video game, and in the introduction to Bismuth when Steven was showing her things he liked to do like playing cards and they watched Lonely Blade while eating pizza.

Tyrant-Den

great job, White, loved that you listed Pink and Steven completely separately on your list; NOW. IS NOT. THE. TIME.

Corvo Joka

I don't think Steven is different at all. You can see from the very first episodes how he doubts and blames himself for everything and tries to help everyone through their hardships, while totally neglecting his own needs and thinking he needs to be what Rose Quartz was.

Mathias Køhler

yeah you really see it in the butterfly episode too when he telling connie to just push it down and keeps trying to hide his till it reveals itself and he literally loses the control

PsyColeDelic

And so this journey comes to an end. Watching these series through Mosco’s eyes has been nothing short of a wonderful experience, getting to see old theories come crashing down. Seeing reactions to plot twists and reveals, and seeing the boundless love and joy that this series puts out into the universe (pun intended) shine through in Mosco herself. Thank you, Mosco.

marnacles

I grew up watching this show, and Future came out and ended right around the time I was about to move out to go to college. I’m very close with my family, and I was moving several states away. This episode felt so specifically targeted at where I was in my life and really ties the bow on the bittersweetness that is growing up.
