Adventure Time is an interesting show and I would actually place it as my second favorite animated show ever (just behind RWBY). I fall into that group of people who will be very excited for very certain episodes, but will also be happy to watch along with the full series as I keep picking up new bits of lore each rewatch.

Yeah this would be 100% the biggest overall UMPHH of a show in the end. (considering the candidates) But it has it's lengths, especially the first time watching it. But hooooo does it reward your resilience at the end. I think it's viable to say: "Don't try to understand everything immediately. It won't work, this is a low burner with an explosive outcome"

This is THE perfect show for us to fake lore drop on you... Like I wouldn't believe HALF of the actual lore of this show, if I have not rewatch it on a semi-regular basis... Its unhinged, crazy, fun, heartfelt, meaningful and a dozen other things all at once.

Awesome but I can't wait for next week and on that note. Mosco I really hope you see this. Sorry it's long winded. When you watch MLP a little advice that can be give and I spoil nothing. First off if you need it "Hey there Bronies and Pegasisters" would be be a great intro for you on that reaction (I feel like someone probably already told you that but just encase). And second please stick with the show I can promise for whatever the word of one random Patreon is worth. I promise you will love it. If it doesn't do to well on YouTube you should still do it at some point here. even if it's after Amphibia and Adventure Time. I'm a 30 year old man I was sure I would hate the show I had planned to never watch it. But I did as a payment for losing a wager with a friend. I watched it and I loved it the show, stories and characters have a way with people. Especially those who expect to hate it seemingly. Season 1 is not bad but it might make you consider stopping but I promise you again for whatever that's worth stick with it and you won't regret it.

I'm so glad you finally got around to this show; it's probably the most important show of my childhood, and even though it starts a little slow, it's truly amazing. If this is one of the shows that stays on your channel, I'm going to love watching it again with you, although it will be a little strange watching it in English; I'm used to the Spanish dub.

As much as I love my little pony, I really want Adventure Time to win. AT and the Owl House are actually 2 of my all time favorite cartoons. This show may start goofy and take forever to react to the full thing but I can tell you'd love it as you get further in!

The first two seasons are HIGHLY episodic, although elements introduced in almost all the episodes will come back and play roles once a through-line is established. The art is also frequently off-model, so don't feel bad if you need to pause and consider whether you've seen a place or character before.

To be honest, I would only really call season 1 rough, s2 has a lot of really fun episodes and I'd say s3 is when I really started loving the show!

Can't root for Adventure Time enough. What starts as a kiddie little episodic thing turns into an absolute rabbit hole of lore and backstory and repeatedly getting hit in the feels. If you like to dig into every frame and speculate about every detail, this show is going to be like crack. EDIT: Oh and this show also has a fuckton of great music throughout, so bonus. And at least one ship I can all but guarantee will appeal to you ;)

^^^ This. It's definitely a big commitment (especially including Distant Lands and Fionna and Cake on top of the already-long original show), but you'll be rewarded with one of the most unique and interesting fictional universes/multiverses I've ever discovered.

I am shocked that people 'cherry pick' episides to watch reactions to, as one of the main thrills of watching these for me is seeing the journey as somebody gets attached to favorites, falls into the flow of the plots, etc. As far as this show goes, though.. It gives the vibe that you need to be high to 'properly' appreciate it. Not my cup of tea at all.

Adventure Time might seem like a crazy trippy show at first but it starts to transition after a few seasons. This is the type of show I would fully watch your reactions to like Steven Universe and RWBY as the lore runs deeeeeeppp and I don’t get how people wouldn’t. Also to the “whatever the fuck that is”, well one of my favorite characters of course 😁 here’s hoping this one continues.

What can I say about this show? I love it. It's incredible. The payoff is amazing. The gap between where you are and how this show actually goes is... unfathomable. That said, and I've said this bit plenty before; There is A LOT of nonsense in the early going. Fever dreams of episodes, characters, and stories that will leave you asking, as you did throughout this episode, "What the fuck did I just watch?". You thought these episodes were weird? These episodes were amateur hour. There's a fair amount of "just roll with it" weirdness. Characters and concepts introduced like they've been there all along, because to the cast they have been. BUT... the lore. The story. The origins and motivations for these characters. The stakes. The history. The themes and dilemmas concealed in this sugar-coated, technicolor drug-trip of a cartoon are unreal. And past the final credits are "Distant Lands" and "Fionna & Cake", which are a more mature take on this universe. I don't know what chance this show has with you, but I'm rooting for it.

I adore Adventure Time and the world they live in. It's so bizarre and creative. The show has a lot of just weird episodes like this, but stick with it because when it gets good holy shit is it good. Some of my absolute favorite arcs cartoons. There is a reason it has such a huge thriving fandom still. This is the other show I am really hoping it will win and will absolutely watch the youtube reacts as well even if I just play it in the background.

I forgot just how odd this show is 😂 But that's just part of the charm for me. It's also very slow burn. We don't get real story until much later in the show. Although tbf, even some of the filler episodes matter to the main story, even if they don't seem like it at the time

I'm still hoping Amphibia wins overall, but I'd love for this to be the new Patreon series. Adventure Time is just so charming, fun, and investing, and the first of it's kind in many ways. It started a new era of story driven cartoons with their creators at the helm, ones who weren't afraid to get pretty dark or break the status quo. Others from the 2010's used it as a gold standard for writing, and without it, shows like Steven Universe and Over the Garden Wall might not exist, as the people who made them started here. (I know that technically Flapjack started it all, but still, Adventure Time was the real game changer.)

I haven't actually watched the episodes yet, but thinking on what you said, yeahhh I definitely think Adventure Time is gonna be one that doesn't do well, it's a show that grows with its audience and the idea of someone reacting to 'adventure time' gets me a lot more excited than the daunting task of starting at episode 1 because I imagine I might cringe at how it starts lmao

I'm rooting for Amphibia too, but trust me, not every episode of this show is this sugar-high and trippy. In fact, most of the ones after season one are a lot more grounded. Why the network aired these two episodes as the first ones, I have no idea, but please give it more of a chance. I promise it gets much better.

I genuinely want to see this one win the poll, because while it does get very weird and kinda nonsensical at time, as it goes on, I think the Deep Lore that begins to emerge is the sort of stuff that Mosco would absolutely LOVE to try and dissect. I see it very similar to Steven Universe or The Owl House in that respect; once you get far enough in, the gratuitous silly stuff start to peel back to reveal a much deeper, much darker story than the bubblegum (no pun intended) sugary silliness would suggest.

I for one have seen this show too many times, so I'll only pop in for a few of the early seasons reactions, then get more dedicated seeing your reactions later on when the show gets arcs and plot instead of just disjointed fever dreams. As fun as those are. If you keep watching, of course. They are fun. But just like Steven Universe, the early stuff are just stand alone episodes.

I understand not wanting to go through the early seasons in their entirety again, but if the show doesn't get enough support, she won't continue it and get to the seasons you're interested in. So if you haven't yet, please support it on YouTube as she suggests: mute it and have it running in the background, leave a like and a comment so that it reaches more people, and fingers crossed, it'll be one of the shows she picks up because the journey really is worth it and it'd suck if she misses out on it.

Ahhh Adventure Time has a strange start probably because it's immediate influences were an older generation of cartoons which had a more 'LoLRandom' (for lack of a better descriptor) type of humor which it eventually grows out of. I really think when it's at it's best Adventure Time eclipses MLP and Amphibia but it's also less consistent than them.
