Heya folks, so Vox Machina s4 drops in June and I am in the middle of 4 amazing shows.

By rules of my channel the least performing show will normally be shelved to make way for it, which is RWBY. It's performing abysmally on Youtube. However I know it does well here. So I wanted to ask, would you rather I:

Drop RWBY to allow Vox to take its place.

Drop Amphibia, and move RWBY into the Patreon exclusive slot to make way for Vox

Don't do Vox right now and pick it up when RWBY is finished.

If either 1 or 2 option is selected, if Vox performs poorly on Youtube (worse than RWBY) then I will be dropping it in place of option 3. Though this is unlikely seeing the abysmal numbers RWBY brings in over on Youtube lol.

Please note whatever is selected things will go back to normal on my channel the moment Vox s4 is finished.

I say postpone Amphibia for now. Vox is about to enter its 4th season and following the success of The Mighty Nein it should perform really well; as for RWBY it’s a shame about YT numbers but it’s RWBY so it’s peak despite the numbers. However RWBY being an exclusive wouldn’t be terrible

Regardless of Vox Machina, wouldn’t it make senses to make the rest of Rwby Patreon exclusive (since it’s not doing well on YouTube) and instead start uploading amphibia on YouTube (since the first upload did pretty well)?

** Please note I am aware Vox usually does 3 episodes a week. But with how terribly it has performed in the past I refuse to dedicate my entire channel to it for a month. So it will get a 1 episode release every week as is standard on my channel. Similar to Patreon. If I have the ability to get Patreon ahead in episodes, I will do so, but I make no promises as I will be in America when this happens and extremely busy.

RWBY has only 2 more volumes left so far, which by the time Vox Machina is released should be almost done. I'm estimating here, but volume 8 should be done by the middle of may, and volume 9 has only 10 chapters. It's up to you, but I'd wait to finish RWBY first.

Honestly, I'm surprised RWBY is performing the worst, but maybe Elijah and now Morgan reacting to is has lead to over saturation or something. Either way, I'd definitely recommend finishing RWBY first, especially since you only have two volumes left and probably only a few episodes by the time June rolls around. Plus, then you'll feel less pressure to get the Vox Machina episodes out as fast as possible.

I wouldn't be against Patreon being RWBY exclusive, since I'm always eager to see your reactions the moment they drop here. I'm shocked it's going bad on YouTube but, at the same time, I know there's other reactors than you, Elijah, and Morgan reacting to RWBY right now. But I also think, since you only have V8+9 left, it's not much before you're finished and then you could just keep Chibi + anything else on Patreon once you finish the main show. Only suggestions ofc!

I say postpone Amphibia. RWBY might not be quite where you want it to be, but it’s still bringing in something from YouTube, while Amphibia is still a Patreon exclusive for the time being.

Tbh, I am not the way into Vox as I am into RWBY or even Amphibia (in particular since it gets more interesting towards the end of the first season / beginning of the second), I won't mind waiting for Vox until RWBY and Amphibia are finished.

She stated back in her Amphibia/Adventure Time/MLP experiment that a video should ideally reach 10k views within the first week, which is a fair objective. RWBY often comes close, but generally only gets between 7k and 8k before the next installment.

Mosco I noticed on your Trello that you’re planning on only recording 1 episode of V9 at a time due to the length of the chapters averaging 20 mins, but when you take the opening credits and the end credits off, as you do, the runtime drops significantly. The actual chapter lengths minus opening and end credits for Volume 9 are as follows: Chapter 1: 14:56 Chapter 2: 14:53 Chapter 3: 17:35 Chapter 4: 16:00 Chapter 5: 13:49 Chapter 6: 17:50 Chapter 7: 15:28 Chapter 8: 13:26 Chapter 9: 12:50 Chapter 10: 19:50 Average episode runtime is actually: 15:39 Volume 9 technically has a shorter average episode runtime than volume 8. Volume 9 works really well when you pair the chapters up (especially later ones) and so while, ultimately I respect your decision as I know life can be busy, it seems that this problem could be solved by just watching 2 eps of volume 9 at a time and finishing RWBY proper before Vox even begins.

I absolutely LOVE all three shows, so dropping any of them is a no-go for me personally (even if only temporarily). I'm completely fine with waiting for the RWBY reactions to be done before moving on to Vox Machina S4, and I'm glad most people agree haha. Since RWBY isn't doing that well on your channel, I'll go and have the reactions playing on my phone when I'm not using it, and I'll do it for the other shows as well. I'm not used to watching reactions on YT when I'm a Patreon member lmao. (Also thank you for telling me when the next season of Vox starts, I've somehow missed it lmao)

You only have 2 more volumes of RWBY (I don't know if you're gonna pick up Chibi afterwards) but you should finish the show before moving onto Vox I feel.

i couldn't understand why RWBY would do bad on youtube then i realized that it's such a loved show that no one wants to watch it on youtube and we all come here instead. doomed by it's own success. at least that's my opinion.

I wont have time 🥹🥹 May is such an insanely busy month and I am already feeling the strain with adding Invincible to my channel. The long episode lengths of that show are already challenging along with project TEA. Theres a reason Elijah is only doing 2 shows just now for her recordings. Im already pushing it and i dont want to burn out and drop something entirely from my roster. While i see what youre saying about the show, the true is for all its preveious episodes in other volumes being less. I could always try and see how we go, but if it continues to impact my life and TEA ill likely just drop it all together until Invincible is done since its performing so much better. I dont want to reach that point 🥹

Option 3 for sure. I suspect that the reason RWBY is doing bad on YouTube right now is because you're on the less popular seasons right now and, as many others have said, we're probably all here on patreon at this point. I will probably remain subbed until you're at least done with invincible either way, but my interest in both RWBY and Amphibia are both really high, and my interest in Vox is really low. I'm also pretty confident that your viewership is going to increase for both of the shows as you progress, there are REALLY great moments to come, and I can't say that for Vox cuz I don't watch it and it hasn't come out yet lol

The only reason I suggest option 2 is because you will be SO close to the end of RWBY. And while Amphibia is an amazing show, it will still be there. But since Vox will have the new season, I DO think it's important for you to curate those reactions for fans of the show on YouTube. Striking while the iron is hot, etc.

Mosco I’m not going to sit here and say I know what creation is like but as a lifelong YouTube consumer I’ve seen too many of my creators burn themselves out with too much stuff on their plate and that leads to them always NEEDING multiple months off just to recover. I HIGHLY advise that if you are worried about this you might need to slow things down. As much as I will be craving VM, RWBY, and Invincible reactions your health is way more important especially with TEA currently ramping up. Pleaseeeeeeee do what is best for you

I personally find that when a new show is airing at first, I never have time to watch reactors because im still catching up on the show. And a lot of times I like to finish a season of a show before watching people react to it. So, I think it makes more sense to finish rwby first and then start Vox.

I can sympathize with your emotional fatigue and find that things like RWBY are a way to transcend that fatigue if only for a little while. I'm not in the target demographic of RWBY being more than two decades older than you. I went through dementia with my grandparents in the first decade of the 2000s, my father's battle with cancer during the 1st and 2nd chapters of RWBY, and my mother's succumbing to Altzheimer's disease during the 9th volume. RWBY and CRWBY were there for me for these and it is a fundamental escape that I've used as a crutch over the years. I'm glad to hear you see it as a crutch too, Mosco, and that it might have helped you too. As for your vote, Mosco, I know I joined your Patreon long ago because I wanted your full reaction to the chapters. Ever since the loss of Rooster Teeth, the amount of chopping and shredding of reactions (due to copyright infringement) has escalated to the point that youtube reactions have been almost unwatchable. Rooster Teeth was more permissive than Viz it seems. I have supported 22 different reactors in recent years and those are just the RWBY ones. Please don't stop with RWBY. Looking at the calendar, you wouldn't finish RWBY Volume 8 until nearly June especially if you have Momo Con and all. Given the events of this eventful Volume that takes place in a mere 48 hour period, you will be torturing yourself and your fans about your impending reactions to one of the most beautiful Volumes of RWBY(I'd die on the hill to say Volume 9 is only next to Volume 4 in pure beauty). RWBY heals. RWBY affirms truth. RWBY helps us investigate ourselves. Don't deny yourself this Mosco. And this is from a die-hard Critter that will always be champing at the bit for your Vox and Mighty Nein reactions too! I even watch their full campaign episodes every week. I'm willing to wait for Vox given the precarious place you will find yourself in late May with RWBY.

My personal theory is that one most people probably already saw it on Patreon and two the RWBY hype cycle isn't there. It's almost 3 years since Vol 9 ended and while we are getting Vol 10 we are still a good amount away from it. Like I'm sure Invincible would have performed well regardless but Mosco releasing the first reaction on YT the day before S4 aired I'd say helped quite a bit.

personally, i jointed patreon for rwby and vox machina, so I would prefer to keep those. I love amphibia but it was mostly the second season that grabbed me and I'd rather that get put on the backburner

Yeah as many others have said, RWBY fans don't usually want the cut up versions on YT, so we all flock to Patreon and neglect the YT channel. I know I'm usually in that boat, but for Mosco I've started putting the YT reactions to shows I like on my phone while I'm on my computer, and I really should do that with every other channel I'm a Patreon member of.

this, i never meant to when i started signing up to patreons, but i definitely end up not watching the on-channel content as much, the blight of rwby is often its specific brand of popularity, especially for old fans coming from when RT was ridiculously lenient with copyright, wanting the more raw reaction is natural for this fandom because when it was coming out, thats mostly what we got ON YOUTUBE, the landscape of the platform has changed since then, and low-edit reactions are no longer viable, so i wouldnt be surprised in the slightest if most of us are here instead, which does indeed suck for the metrics :(
