The reason it lingered on the cut on Anne’s finger is because it reminded her of Sasha’s scar, which is why she follows it up with “It’s what Sasha would do.”

They are not named in the ep but those creatures are called Shadow Fish and the creature locked in that garden..... well we saw something like it before.

And that marks the halfway point of the Season, in case the almost clip-show-like recalling of events wasn't enough of a hint, I like that the series keeps moving despite being mostly slice-of-life storylines

I didn't start doing delinquent shit until my senior year of highschool. "A Day At The Aquarium" A link beyond blood, The Plantars and Anne are kin. Bonded by trauma. -Hmm... Pink 🤛 Green 🧠 Blue ❤️. I feel like I've seen this triumvirate of powers somewhere else before... -Every day since Anne was adopted by the Plantars has been one near-calamity after another. Perhaps there's something to that music box's name. -The fans picked up on Marcy being a little melancholy at Anne's departure. Sure, it was crumbs for the shippers, but most agree that Marcy just doesn't want to be alone. Reconnecting with her best friend after all these months, only for Anne to choose the frogs over Marcy. Sasha could relate.

BTW Mosco, since the next two episodes were aired out of order on Disney Cannel originally, be sure to watch/post them in this order. Episode 11 Night Drivers/Return to Wartwood followed by Episode 12 The Shut In. If you are using Disney+ it’s in that order but Amazon doesn’t have it that way.

The Sleepover to End All Sleepovers: They managed to stuff 20 lbs of lore into a 10 lb bag. You can tell how much influence Sasha had on Marcy and Anne very quickly. OK Lady Olivia. I know not to mess with you. All that and it’s only 9 PM. Wait til later to start Shenanigans. You get the feeling that the scare dare challenge was one way Sasha exercised her control of the group? The cypher reads “Beware, Shadow Fish inside.” Oh, THAT’’S why there was a warning! Remember the Moss Man in the episode Wally and Anne? There are more of them around and they aren’t looking like they’re free. So much more to say but as River Song might say “spoilers”. A Day at the Aquarium: So we have a plan now. “They were peaceful explorers, scientists if you will.” Uh…. I get Marcy not wanting to be separated from Anne. A great recap at the aquarium. Considering that a lot of Sea World shows are now HIGHLY controversial perhaps it’s good that they freed the rays. Marcy showed a lot of courage in telling Anne she could go back. Danger Marcy Wu, Danger!

Regarding that creature you saw around the plants, you've seen something like it before. The Moss Man back in season 1 when Anne was trying to find it with Wally. ^_^

Sprigs mom is the eternal living 2000 to thousands of years they will never die. They will never live, but they will also live in never die frozen from 1000 yearwar to a fast now paced world and frosted from the icicles. They were born in the heaven as they leap from the lily pad we see that they know they will find you or they will not find you finding is something that people do so maybe a frog does it also.

The following may be a red herring; Sprig's father was killed by a red heron. That's his father on the left in the painting, and Polly's father is on the right. Yes, Polly is half toad. That kind of thing is technically possible in Amphibia, but it's not common. The guy in the middle is the father of their older sister, Olivia. They don't know she's related to them yet. Olivia is sapphic, and Matt had to fight very hard to get Disney to allow that. The progress made by Gravity Falls and The Owl House helped Matt convince the Disney executives, which is another reason these shows are considered a trifecta.

I'm not 100% certain but I'm pretty sure the purple planet at the top of the configuration is supposed to be the world from The Owl House. That show and this one do reference each other a couple of times. There's the news post about Anne and then there's a tiny version of Bessie in TOH. Plus the book with Hop Pop and a plushy version of sprig at one point.

Concerning the weapons, you just made me realize that Marcy has a crossbow and Sasha has a dagger. So, the sword belongs to the Heart. Perhaps Sprigs family was Brain. After all, we've seen how brilliant and genius they all were in their secret Plantar family basement. Depending on the King's weapon, we'll know which one he was in your theory about their expedition. Was he the Strength or the Heart?

Sasha has a sword, not a dagger, daggers are short, Sasha's sword is basically a bastard sword (sword light enough to be used in one hand but long enough to be used in two hands)

As much as I love these episodes, I really wish that Marcy didn't let Anne go with the planters until after the king talked to her. I just think it would (in my personal opinion) be a better set up for some things that happen later. I'll probably come back and explain more of what I mean by that once you get through a few more episodes and also how I would imagine it going down
