The Moral of this episode is: Mark needs some serious therapy. Honestly seeing everything he’s gone through, it’s a real shame that he can just never catch a real break 😭. Like sure he’s a superhero and all but I don’t believe he signed up for all of this.

Suplee215

One thing that isnt explained is Atom Eve's powers burn a ton of calories. Her weight gain is due to not using them right now. Basically she gave up her normal exercise routine on top of home cooking

REDE

Bro got PTSD (Post Thragg Stress Disorder)

Miranda Corvus

I am absolutely siding with Debbie ....That being said, she was the one who encouraged Oliver to go, when Nolan didn't want him there for this very reason

DieWinterkirsche

Ah, yes, the good old Post Thragg Stress Disorder!

Adan Guzman

It took Mark 4 SEASONS to get therapy which is good because he’ll need it more than ever. He’s yet to experience the worst day of his life.

Radley Carter

The show is currently greenlit for 6 seasons. Seasons 3 and 4 both released around March, a year apart from each other. Projected release date for season 5 is early Spring next year, so it will likely be around March as well.

Noxious

That number Cecil gave, was that the Civilian casualties, or was that how many times he (Cecil) has almost died?

Suplee215

As usual great discussion. One aspect about Eve's decision here (censoring due to pateron hagng a habit of deleting my comments on deeper conversations) I loved is how the pregnancy directly effected her powers. I fully agree witb your take on it too but another aspect you touched less on is the physical change and risk a pregnancy gives. Both temporarily and long term. Even if it's not a "at risk" pregnancy there is a good chance of life time side effects. So not only should a person be willing and able as they can be to tae responsibility of a baby but they must also consider their own physical health and if its worth it..and with Eve losing her powers thats a pretty effective way show it. Her pregnancy effectively sidelined one of the top 5 superheroes of earth's and only she should decide if she is willing to do that or not. And sure some can argue she wasnt active for that time but theres.a difference between her powers not working and her just not being active. She can currently step in for an emergency if needed. She was unabke to so that while pregnant

Tgriff02

14:00 she melted, lol.

Florena Emberlin

I understand Debbie's upset about Oliver being hurt. But for once, I'm on Nolan's side here. Nolan didn't want to bring Oliver there in the first place but Debbie gave her blessing, albeit reluctantly.

ross lingard

this season end is about halfway through the comic. Robert Kirkman the comic writer and showrunner of the show said about 7 or 8 seasons total

Geo23

Usually Invincible releases the first 3 episodes in the premiere and then it is one episode a week with 8 episode seasons. As others said they are greenlit pretty far in advance due to Robert Kirkman wanting to release yearly seasons.

Dustin Nelson

We're getting a lot of good screaming in this one ☺️

xattygt

Good news is you mist likely wont have to wait ling for a new season. They been pretty consistent with dropping a new season once a year around February or march

Marceline_mother

This episode is why I love Mark. He's such a respectable person, he didn't snap at Eve, he was just sad he wasn't there for her

DiamondDawg

Here we go the last Invincible reaction till 2027. The end of this ep is the halfway point in the comics so were looking at 3-4 more seasons most likely. As for S5 release it's most likely going to be sometime in the 1st quarter of 2027 probably March or April. The release schedule for S1, S3 and S4 was first 3 eps on the first week then one a week for the remainder of the season. Honestly with how this season ends it's way more effective to wait for S5 so I think now is the best time for people to get on the Invincible bandwagon. Really enjoyed watching your reaction they were well worth the wait.

Leon Lothbrok

I'm so excited (and terrified) for season 5. The wait has been torture

Androzani84

They said on Twitter that Season 5 was coming 2027, voice acting was done, Thragg will be back, another character will be back and Conquest will… not be back.

Geass

Vaccinating every human on the planet is pretty much impossible. There are people who live in remote areas, people who refuse to get vaccinated, and tribes we aren't allowed to go anywhere near.

BakaSama

You gotta give Nolan credit for having guts. Man dug himself into a nearly bottomless pit and is daring to try and reach the towering peak that is Debbie. But that said, congrats on surviving Invincible. I’d recommend watching CJ Dachamp’s Invincible videos for some levity before the new season comes with a whole new, fresh set of traumas.

Suplee215

If Debbie and Nolan do get back together I thjnk an important thing will be Debbie finding out about viltrimite's culture and how Nolan was raised. Not as a way to excused but knowing the full viltrimite society dynamic does paint Nolan in a very different light. He goes from one of the worse earth villains in history to the first documented Viltrimite to feel empathy for another species in a thousand years

Ace of Hearts

Sandra Oh deserves an emmy for this season

Liam Gradwell

“You can either be the good guy or the guy who saves the world. You can’t be both.” This moment with Mark and Thragg proves to absolutely be the case.

supersoaker

1:09:43 All this time, Steve Harvey was a viltrumite !?!!

iCommentToPlay

I've just started watching this episode and already sad there will be no more Invincible!! What a ride and wild card of show to react to! I look forward to a S5 coming to a Mosco near you!

lunarchaos1780

After this lucan joined human society as a game show host and took on the name steve harvey

Eliteguard99

Anyone else notice the Irony in Mosco getting mad at people interrupting Eve telling Mark about her pregnancy and then mid explanation Mosoc herself interrupts Eve telling Mark about her pregnancy lol

2026-10-08 22:00 There was a hint given in the episode where mark went to the Future and confronted immortal. Immortal set a quick throwaway line that kind of answers your question but I'm not going to give it to directly.

Please watch Bojack Horseman as your next adult show, It has tons of commentary on mental illness and great queer representation

[pointing at camera] "Before she gets interrupted again by some thing! Some fucking bullshittery! Some fucking witchcraft. Let the woman speak! Let her talk!" - It wasn't me, I swear! I wasn't saying anything! I promise, don't use witchcraft for things like that!

Maurice Isaac

I'm legitmately surprised Mosco didn't bring up Cecil keeping Conquest alive not being addressed at all.

Shay

It reminds me of the X-Men, bullshit is always happening to them anytime they relax or try to take a vacation😆

Christopher Bartsch

This episode makes Thragg so much more of an interesting threat to me. Because in Argall's time, any Viltrumite would lay waste to an opposing race for daring to resist them. Thragg scoffs at the notion of coming to terms when Nolan offers it in the last one. Yet...in this episode, Thragg acts very un-Viltrumite. He could very easily lay waste to Earth in revenge for the destruction of Viltrum and enslave the Earth's population for pure breeding purposes. Yet he offers Mark a truce, an oath of pure neutrality, while he seeks to repopulate his people. It's so...out of the ordinary. It's like the weight of Thragg's own failings in rebuilding; his duty to restoring the glory of his people prevents him from succumbing to rage. Those final words speak almost of a kinship with Mark. The fact that Mark has to make the tough call to save his people, the same way Thragg is forced to make those same tough calls with the last gasps of a dying empire. Thragg fosters so much hate towards Mark...yet he offers calming words of how his actions saved millions. It's a fascinating look at the perverted morality at play with Thragg's ambitions

I’m not sure if Nolan and Debbie are getting back together since they changed Debbie’s character a lot compared to the comics

Jimmy

Conquest's confession shows how horrifically repressed the Viltrumites are. It wasn't even in the Comic which makes it more shocking to hear. But also lends credence that Nolan just not being in an environment that runs on carnage and sadism allowed him to just be content. He's not off the hook, but like "Wow, you never had a chance to be normal" It also led to a lot of fan art of if Conquest was sent instead of Nolan that I love and one of the comic artists said it would be canon. (Which isn't a lot, but acknowledgement is nice.)

Jimmy

How many people died during Nolan's rampage. Not to mention the thousands more who were affected.

Jimmy

I really wish they changed that part from the comics. I mean yeah, it's accurate, but this was an opportunity to not have Cecil be a dumbass for the sake of plot. Like have Cecil launch Conquest into the Sun only for Conquest to break out at the last second slightly singed. (And you can play it either way, Cecil knows it didn't work but doesn't tell Mark, or have Cecil believe Conquest is dead, only to hear from Mark he didn't.) I think it would've made the mid-credits scene in e6 so much better. It would've made the characters believe that Conquest may have just beat death once again

Jimmy

In the comics, that scene is played out a bit differently (same message and outcome though) and it has a line that I wish they adapted. I don't know it verbatim but it's like "Today is not tomorrow. You know what will happen if we fight today. Why not wait until tomorrow." It's a threat, concession, and motivation all at once. He is surrendering and negotiating for favorable terms because he's so desperate, but also reminds Mark that "This an incredibly generous concession that I don't have to do" while also encouraging "You might have a chance of beating me in the future." Granted, there are other differences in those panels and a huge wall of text that are more overt threats. I just think Lee Pace would've done great with that line and it's depth.

Sarah H

I LOVE that Mark was the one to ask about therapy instead of having it forced on him. He knew he needed it, and he reached out when he was ready. This show continuously breaks the norm of how men deal with trauma and mental health in media AND how they're treated regarding these topics; he has supportive people in his life, both male and female, who don't judge him or tell him to get over it and instead encourage him to take a break and do what's best. That's how it should be for everyone, and it's so important to see that in action and to have that side represented in media so it can carry over into the real world. Mark is also obviously a really good guy with how he handled Eve's situation, being understanding and supportive and still being open and affectionate instead of pulling away or withdrawing into himself. He'll no doubt have his own feelings on the matter and need his time with it, but he and Eve are such an open and loving couple that he'll know she's there and she won't want him keeping things to himself to spare her. She dealt with it alone/with Rick and William because Mark was gone, but he's here now, and they can face it together.

Omer Zauber

At first i wasn't 100% sold on Lee Pace for this role, but this ending part made him absolutely perfect for it.

PTSD - Post Thraggmatic Stress Disorder

Tristan N Milner

At least you've got a long break from this show ahead. As others have mentioned, the show is halfway through the comics with a few changes.

Radley Carter

Same. And we got likely around 6 more months to wait 😭

Radley Carter

Well, it wasnt for that reason based on what he said. When Oliver got on the ship, Nolan was having his self loathing moods and he told Mark he didnt wanted to protect Oliver from himself because he would just be a screwup to him again.

Radley Carter

Just out of curiosity, do you happen to know what he does while on Earth?

Radley Carter

If 2020 taught us anything, its that a HUGE chunk of the population will royally screw up a vaccination attempt.

Geass

Yeah. I was thinking the same thing.

TheCasualNerd

Here's a sobering tought about the scourge virus plot point. When Mark goes to the future Immortal mentions he got sick at some point. That line gets very concerning in light of this episode

Suplee215

Yea. For me its the purge that really sends that message. Took seeing it a few times to realize thrag was killing the ones who hesitated so the ones with empathy and so was showing what happened to any who try ro have empathy

Noxious

Ah okay, I was unsure only because that seemed like such a low number, considering the carnage. ^_^

JakeArtist13

Season 5 (and Season 6 i think) have been greenlit

AZTEC NINJA

Now that ur caught up, I would recommend watching the invincible season 2, 3 and 4 teasers! They are hilarious!

Sarah H

Yeah, 6 was greenlit in June. They want to do 7-9 seasons total, but of course can't be greenlit that far ahead.

Suplee215

Also a virus viral enough to kill 100% of a population will be extremely tough to make a vaccine for if not impossible. Not every virus can have a vaccine and if this does as advertised it likely cannot.

Tristan N Milner

At least the RWBY character has a parent. How many Disney characters have no parents? And as we know from Odalia Blight, having a mother around isn't always a good thing. 42:20 as it's always morally correct to dunk on Cecil, reminder that Cecil keeping Conquest alive is what kept Mark, Oliver, and Nolan out of the fight for months. Cecil has no right to talk to Nolan about messing up.

Håvard Midttun Helgesen

This is more or less exactly the halfway point in the comics. Invincible has 144 issues total, and this last episodes ends on issue 78. There are of course changes that have been made and probably more changes to come so it’s not a perfect one to one comparison, so who knows, but I think 3-4 more seasons going at this pace.

Ian Streeb

Your predictions have just been way too accurate. You had to have been exposed to at least SOME spoilers that you've been hiding.

Indica Ink

Actually, Kirman wants to do 10 seasons. Be prepared for new plot archs sooner rather than later

Trey Goldsworthy

I wouldn’t mind if he does the final season or two as epilogues for the whole series as there was so much the original comics didn’t go into.

Wilhelm Hedin

Coming back from calling her a pet feels like it should be rough...

Adrian Lee

What is your Discord so I can watch u play Dispatch?

Adrian Lee

Season 5 is next year I think. The creator said they finished season 5 when season 3 was aired

J. Lee

Because bodily autonomy is something people like to scream about. But then that concept disappeared the moment y'all thought vaccines should be mandatory.
