2Pac and Jasmine Guy were also great friends, along with him being friends with Jada Pinkett. He actually lived with Jasmine after getting out of prison for a few weeks.

This season felt like a setup for the new class and a send off for dwayne and whitley, so it seemed like they were planning for more seasons.

The episode with Billy Dee Williams was a backdoor pilot for a spinoff that never got picked up. Marisa Tomei actually quit the show. She wasn't fired and the audience didn't really have an adverse reaction to her character because she was white. In fact, the show was actually written to be about a white person attending a historically black college. The last episode didn't ring quite as hollow to me because if you think about it, the characters of Gina AND Lena had been on since like season 4 and 5. Gina was the one that didn't want Tisha Campbell's character to touch her once she found out she had AIDS. So aside from the extras and the new class, every other character was there aside from Ron. I wish Jaleesa could've been there but she'd already left to star in Hangin With Mr. Cooper (another fantastic show). I think the biggest misstep for me in the final season was having Dwayne and Whitley go broke. I thought their struggles took away a lot of potential for other storylines with them. I remember as a kid hating those "broke" episodes because it seemed so out of place from everything else. I also am probably in the minority, but I LOVED the new class and I thought they could've been just as effective as the OG's had they been given a chance. The "Somebody Say Hoe" episode and the Tupac episode showed how much potential was really there with them. I think a 7th season with Dwayne and Whitley gone might have lost what was left of the magic of the show, but having the OG's gone, and having Billy Dee Williams and Leslie Uggams as the new foundation of the show might've been a decent premise. Idk.

It's Sad That A Different World reactions are coming to an end it was a fun journey. But look on The Bright side you guys can react to another Classic NY Undercover on Hulu trust you guys will enjoy it.

Tupac and Jada NEVER dated. he had a crush on her tho. They were just childhood friends and he wrote a poetry book dedicated to her. Tupac and Jasmine Guy had a close relationship too. The homegirl from Baltimore is very accomplished actress Monica Calhoun.....also the episode with Envogue, the guy who kept doing the impressions were Aries Spears.
