Sorry guys, but you watched the vastly inferior theatrical cut. The Assembly Cut is longer and has a more fully fleshed-out story. Scenes make more sense because it has 30 more minutes to play with. I suppose you couldn't have known. Oh well, I mean, either way, Alien 3 is not great, and neither is the next one. Not much lost here.

I have to disagree, well that's not true I don't have to but I still will lol. I think Resurrection has some good fun to it.

Totally agree, if you are going to watch Alien3, you only watch the assembly cut. But as we all know, there are only two Alien films. Everything after that is slop.

I don't know, Alien: Romulus was pretty good fun and I thoroughly enjoyed that movie, it has some really good call backs to the OG Alien and Aliens

This movie had so many great ideas. Flawed, sure, but so many great ideas. I mean it introduces a lot of things that have survived the franchise to the most modern incarnations - like the morphology and behaviour following the host; it also raises the level of "the company" in a way that is heavily leveraged later. FPV if the alien is introduced here too. There's a reason people have kept messing with this movie to try to get it to what it "should be". Its *influence* greatly outsizes its reputation, if that makes sense? I mean I like the movie, but in the knowledge that I can and do overlook its flaws. I mean Fincher directed it so..

I didn't say anything about Romulus. I think Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection are bad. I quite like Romulus outside of the nostalgia pandering.

They do this with all the movies it drives me nuts lol. Like I have all the Saw unrated movies and I gotta go find the regular theatrical versions to watch with them, which bugs me to no end lol. Like who watches the theatrical version of movies outside of the actual movie theater release?
