Well this is a moot point (since Israel blew up the ceasefire already) but I don't think I can "take the win" on this If you read the ceasefire announcement closely, Trump agrees on the 10 points only "in principle" as the basis of a permanent peace (to be negotiated). The only thing that would actually immediately happen during the 12 days was the armies would stop fighting and the straights would open. So it strikes me as a relatively straightforward Trump bamboozle where he gets something he wants in the short term (straights open) and promises to give you everything you've ever dreamed of (later, and subject to negotiation).

As much as it appears like the ceasefire is breaking down, I think what’s happening is Israel attempting to blow up the negotiations and express their demonic genocidal petulent rage by terror bombing Lebanese civilian centres however they have largely failed and have been privately told to scale back. In lieu of which Iran has avoided responding. I think Washington’s public facing diplomacy can be read as a face saving measure. The negotiations apparently as of this minute are still a go and still appear to be based around the Iranian maximalist demands, which even if they only get 1/3 of would be a humiliating and historic defeat for America and a win for the world. I suppose we shall see. This conflict could only ever have ended with a nuclear bomb and the earth shattering repercussions from that or American defeat and concessions.
