So a few things that the Anime does not explain well, but don't really impact the overriding story, so I can understand why they don't put it in When Myne starts saying words that she does not know in the language of the world she has gone to, they come out as Japanese (just a little fun fact that I thought was great world building in the LN) Otto's job with the paperwork is actually looking for errors; he is basically conducting an audit on all the different gates and the expenses that they put through, so Myne finding the error is just helping him speed up his job, not correcting his mistake And last, the reason that she and her mother did so many different things in her past life was her mum's attempt at dragging her away from books to spend time with her, and finding an interest in something else

Parues are supposed to be the first clue we get that this is not a normal medieval world. Episode 1 kinda spoiled the surprise by just showing us magic items.

Paru - a magical tree. It appears only on sunny winter days (for some reason they painted a green crown, but the whole tree is icy). You can't bring a torch to the tree or light a fire nearby (the tree's power extinguishes any fire). The only way to collect the fruit is to warm a branch with your hands. People climb the tree in shifts and warm the branches. By midday, the tree stretches out, the remaining fruit that wasn't collected (and there are many) shakes in all directions (like a dog after a bath), and the tree itself disappears until the next sunny day. Oh, and there are so many of these trees that all the townspeople flock to them.
