I've never reacted to a horror themed BL before and although the series started out quite scary and had a couple of jumpscares it wasn't as scary as I thought! I kind of hope it gets a little scarier though. I'm loving the storyline of KHEM suffering from this generational curse. There are a lot of masters and names and I'm not fully sure if the religion is buddhism or hinduism but I looked it up now and it seems like karma is more centered around hinduism? I love refreshing my memory on what I learned in school and then forgot 🌞

I love that whenever I react to a new BL I just fall in love with a new character but I can't help it. I'm so intrigued by PARAN/PAWAT (not sure what his name really is or who he is but I bet we will find out) and his role as the master/shaman of this village and how he protects the villagers from these evil spirits and from them getting possessed but at the same time.. he doesn't want to interfere too much or help anyone too much because it's their karma and they need to deal with it themselves? I think that whole concept is so interesting and how it will develop.

As always there are probably things I misunderstood and missed in these two episodes so feel free to clear things up in the comments if you think it's necessary. I'd be lost without your guys' help sometimes 😭 So excited to continue this show and I'm not sure I will be able to wait another whole week! Anyway let me know all your thoughts in the comments~ πŸ’™

i honestly recommend watching the documentary they made, even if just on your own (it's about an hour long). everyone worked so hard on this show and they poured so much love into the making of it, on top of doing an insane amount of research to try to stay as authentic as they can. but if you decide not to, i've got to at least tell you that they literally built that whole house in ubon ratchathani just for this!!!

25:32 the mom said it in the flashback, but only male offsprings have to die before they turn 21!

also, if you want another really good horror thai bl on any of the future polls: goddess bless you from death!!!! it's definitely scarier than khemjira and it's also KIND OF a murder mystery. and it also has ghosts and some other similar elements but they're still two very different shows and outstanding in their own way!
