Austin Hennigan

Don’t know if y’all figured it out or if you rewatched but they said Freddie died of pestilence. Some sort of plague or disease.

HecZo NAMED

now all we need is that GoT season 7

Mindbomb

What a treat. Just watched S1E6 this morning before work.

Angie

Loving this for you. Has Branden seen this series?

Communism at its core is not a bad system. One of the big flaws with it is that it has tended to lead to authoritarian and fascist leadership. In the time this was set, there had just been a Communist revolution in Russia and it is likely they were viewed as potential traitors (which they technically were, as they advocated for a new form of government).

Danger Tomato

Comunism has killed so many people it's a filthy plague

JenChristiF

Communism had a good aim, unfortunately the leadership used it to steal ownership from the citizens and place it in government hands. North Korea and Cuba are good examples of the worst of it. Russia and China do alittle better if you are in the cities. But it takes power from the people. Capitalism isn’t perfect but at least you have a shot. And listen to people who moved from communist countries to America . Don’t listen to people who’ve never experienced this. They’ve read books that say what they want to hear and how it was supposed to work out. But what the people wanted didn’t play out, dictators won.

Tyrone Bigguns

Russia hasn't been communist since the Soviet Union collapsed in 1991.

JenChristiF

Yea you’re right. And I tried to look up what they actually are and am none the wiser. Just dictatorship I guess.

hannahbee99

Accidentally deleted my comment sorry! But what I meant to say is that I don’t think it’s fair to label communism alone as a plague, by your criteria that it’s killed so many people. It’s definitely true, but by that logic you could say the same for democracy or any other political ideology. If we want to take it further, by your logic, if killing people makes something a plague, religion is the worst plague of all. A countless number of people have been killed in the name of Christianity, far more than in the name of communism. The same can be said for any other religion, especially Abrahamic ones. What I mean to say by this, is to point out the irony of your comment. It’s not communism or Christianity that kill people. Most religions and ideologies aren’t bad at their core and definition. It’s when they’re practised and propagated by corrupt people who use them to fulfil their agendas, profit or control people, that people get hurt or killed. I don’t personally believe in Christianity anymore or agree with communism (I would probably consider myself to align more with socialism), but I don’t think it’s fair to paint any political ideology or religion by the people who exploit, misinterpret and misuse them. 😊

Tyrone Bigguns

basically run by a gangster named vlad!

hannahbee99

Yes Elodie, socialist girlies unite!! 😂 I completely agree, it’s really the fringe ideologies and religions, such as cults or ideologies like Pol Pot had with the Khmer Rouge that are intrinsically bad at their conception! I love cult documentaries, I love to see the psychology behind how people can pathologically manipulate people and how people can fall for and get sucked into them! You’re completely right, marxism is what most people think of when they think of communism, and it’s such a twisted version of communism that it’s just not a good representation, hence why it’s got its own name! I think the greatest issue lies in the one of true main difference between communism and socialism, the eradication of private property. In my opinion, at least in its practises, communism is ruled by this idea of “sameness”, which for human beings, is fundamentally impossible as we all have inner thoughts and everyone is different. That’s where it fails, because you cant make everyone the same! Love your profile pic btw! 💙💙

The Emerald Duchess

I would pay good money to watch you two and B react to Sons of Anarchy! Watching you guys react to this the way you do tells me your ready for SOA

Polly got it and she doesn't ✌️💯

Communism: utopia that doesn't work in real life basically. You just need to look at cuba, venezuela, nicaragua etc. Radical left ideas per se dont work like radical right ideas

Rockstar818

As far as I know, anyone can correct me on this, but communism to my knowledge is basically everything belongs to everyone and we’re all equal even down to the tangible items we own. So basically you own those headphones on your head to watch the show right? Those are my headphones too. That house you own? Bruh WE live there. That is just what I’ve understood about it, if I’m wrong someone is more than welcome to inform me otherwise.

Rockstar818

Also couple things, y’all might have missed it but in Tommy’s Eulogy for Freddie, he says bullets didn’t take him, Pestilence did. Basically Freddie got sick and in 1921 disease was fatal more than half the time. Secondly, is nobody else noticing how Finn went from smaller than the 7 dwarves in season 1 to taller than all 3 of the oldest brothers in just two years time? He was 11 in season one how is this little squirt turn into Slenderman Jr by the next season 2 years after? Do certain genes make you jump in height THAT drastically? I get the whole thing with finding an age appropriate looking actor but it’s like I’m the only one that watches this show that notices how Finn is noticeably older than he should be lol

Thom

bought the patreon specifically for this series w you guys yall are amazing for going with this series theres not enough people running it

Dylan Miller

Why did you guys stop posting this series? Love your reaction to this and it seems ya'll were really enjoying it!
