Lets go❗️ now i can enjoy another double drop🔥 cant wait till i see yall on vikings season 3 in 2027😂

Decolonial

The actress who played Andrea had originally signed on for eight seasons which would have put the character more in line with the comics (she's a badass in the comics). But when the OG showrunner and writer Frank Darabont was fired after the 1st season (a dumb decision), a lot of storylines changed from what was originally planned. This is the first of many sins that AMC is guilty of with this show.

Lily Taylor

Literally, JUST finished the 3X15 reaction. Y'all better come through with the perfect timing! 👏👏👏

Erikka_Reacts

The basketball references are so good! Lmaooo

SirBigBalls

Hope y’all don’t take too long of a break from TWD. It’s only gonna get better trust the process

Sabrina Bookert

I got to add, Andrea dumbass had to want to die. That’s the only reason to move that damn slow knowing he was gonna die and kill her! Ugh Goodbye heffa

Christina Smith

Both of your eyes 😳 when the governor gunned his own people down 😂

Julian Robinson

Nah Carl is right, if I say drop the gun and you still holding onto it while creeping forward I’m capping you 💀

Allure

“We got the sorry folks” I HOLLERED!! 😂😂😂

Melinda

I'm cryingggggg at the reaction to Andrea's passing 😭😭😭😭😭 Y'all had a sadder reaction for Merle 🤣

EliG

Rick looked up to where Lori last was. She was gone...Guess she was just trying to tell him he was not acting right. The cross - that was Lori's grave. No more haunting him.

Keke

What Carl did reminded me of the Mafia 3 mission “Why take the chance”

EliG

Merle gave them that win - Gov had to show up with his top 2 and the able-bodied town folk who had never killed the living. Merle killed 8! 8! But, yeah, prison got the elderly and infirm and a couple of kids... no fighters in that bunch. Well, they also got Tyrese and Sasha...

Keke

I was so happy that Melissa McCall was the lone survivor of that group cause I’m a Teen Wolf fan 😅.

EliG

Gentlemen - I thank you! Appreciate you! Stay safe. From NYC.

Rindamarie

I think Rick realized he could become a Governor-like leader if he kept being a dictator. He had his mental issues he was dealing with. Notice that he didn't see Lori any longer when he looked up at the end. Carl is becoming a hardened killer as he reasons just like a child. Also, one of the few Talking Dead episodes I remember was the one that aired after this finale. Yvette Nicole Brown and Norman Reedus were guests. They called out how Rick looked at Michonne up & down when Rick said, "Maybe it was something else" when Michonne said 'you could have taken the formula'... "Richonne" shipping era by fans started after this finale. For me, this finale solidified the TWD trinity: Rick, Michonne and Daryl

Queen S

Keep spoiling us with the back-to-back episodes you guys now what I got to say about Andrea she talking to a dying man with no urgency I remember her telling Dale that she didn't want to be torn apart by walkers and she got a dying man getting ready to turn and she want to talk!😫 That scene really got on my nerves. I'm kinda of on the fence about what Carl did 🤔

Sara Tucker

Yall gonna be shocked in the season 4 opener lol. Can’t wait

Ash Lee Can

I think Merle was getting on Daryl's loyalty to Rick last episode was because Daryl KNEW what Rick was doing was wrong, and yet he just kept saying "Whatever Rick says goes". Was there jealousy from Merle with Daryl's relationship with Rick? I absolutely believe that. But Merle also felt like his brother was casting away his identity and individuality to serve Rick under that Ricktatorship. There's loyalty, but you should always have a boundaries that you don't allowed to be crossed, and what Merle was seeing with Daryl about the whole Michonne deal was blind loyalty. Daryl knew that it wasn't right and even expressed it, but he should stood his ground like Hershel, Daryl should have been able to stand his ground with Rick, but he didn't. Merle said. "You used to call people like that sheep". In my opinion, you should never have blind loyalty to another person like that, especially if you claim to have morals...

Shameka

Nah, I feel Brandon the Governor is not dead! What are we celebrating?! Get back must be had!

ondraya

Rick "must have been something else" Grimes...

Queen S

I'm with you on that one Adison he can't be walking off from me and you guys got to remember too his baby sister was out there❤️ with them too

Tq04

“We had major love for you” 😭😭😭 I can’t

Queen S

I love the wedding prediction Billy Bob you just forgot to have Beth singing at the wedding 🤣🤣

Wolfy! Wolfi! Wolfé!

Heads up he wasn't sleeping with Karen, she is just mom of boy Carl shot. The town admin or something was his honey and we never see her after that scene 😂 I think it was great to take those people in. He changed, he left Brother Roadkill on the side of the road and now he is taking in those elderly, women and children cuz it's the right thing to do. The merciful thing to do. And Rick kept seeing Lori looking at what he was doing, but then he took in those kids etc and she was gone, his conscience was lifted. Carl be pissed for real though 😂 Thank you for another great reaction vid ❤️

girlboss

Hope y'all check out the comics, too. Andrea is such a great character in the comics. So great that a lot of her best storylines and character traits end up split between a bunch of other characters in the show. THAT'S how much this show screwed up her character.

girlboss

Andrea's actress had originally signed on for eight whole seasons of the show. Due to conflicts with AMC, the director changed and we got stuck with Glen Mazzara. Apparently him and Laurie Holden ( Andrea's actress ) did not get along because he made unwanted advances towards her behind the scenes. As revenge, he purposefully ruined her character and killed her off. Originally she was supposed to be found dead in the woods randomly but AMC told him to rewrite it because it was THAT bad.| That's why her character arc this season makes zero sense and why it ended so stupidly. She deserved much better than what she got because her comic character is so damn amazing.

N7

That kid that Carl shot proceeded to get closer to him after they told him to drop the gun 100% justified

Menia Battle

I want to say thank yall for finishing up this season. You spoiled us this week, and I greatly appreciate it. When I first watched this episode, I felt like Carl was wrong, but in hindsight, I do understand his reasoning, and he is still a kid. I ain't mad at him. I'm glad Andrea is gone. She made the worst decisions, and Bandon is correct. She is at fault for everything that happened to her. It was totally preventable. Can't wait for the next season.

Ash Lee Can

So, I read a long time ago that allegedly that the reason Andrea got killed off was because there was some issues between the actress, Laurie Holden and the showrunner at the time, Glen Mazzara. He had replaced the original showrunner, Frank Darabont, who was one of the actors from his previous work, like The Mist, onto the series with him. Jefferey DeMunn(Dale) quit the show out of loyalty to Darabont, maming his character killed of a lot sooner than he was meant to(if the show still had played out the same waybit does and kept the comic storyline, he would have made it to season 5). Laurie hated what Mazzara did to Andrea's character in season 3. She hated how much they deviated her character, who's a fan favorite and an important character in the comics, the whole Governor/Andrea, and felt that they basically did a character assassination the whole season, only to kill her off at the end was a slap in the face(honestly having Andrea keep pausing from trying to free herself whenever she talked to dying Milton as if her literal life wasn't in danger, she wasn't in a time sentive situation, and lack the ability to multitask somehow) was just absolutely terribly, lazy and contrived writing). She said she and the cast were sobbing and devastated when they got the script and saw Andrea was getting killed off(the actors don't know what's going to happen each episode, so they normally don't know if they're getting killed off until they read the script, which to me can be a bit problematic, but that save that for a later season to discuss). Allegedly, Mazzara, who took over as showrunner in the second half of season 2, didn't like Laurie as she was one of Darabont's people. She had a signed a 8 year deal, and was meant to get her comic story. According to Laurie, she said that Mazzara(who wrote this finale episode) didn't even write Andrea a real farewell. I think the crew were supposed to find her already dead and probably turned or something like that. He said that he wanted it to feel like no one was safe and gave consequences to what happened with everything that happened during season 3. He ended up admiting that he used deaths as a shock factor. Like T-Dogg's death was originally meant for Carol, and apparently he had to be talked out of killing off Carl. Mazzara officially left the show at the end of season 3 for "creative differences". I remember reading that he was actually fired what the stuff that he was doing and how they ended Andrea's character was supposedly the final straw(Robert Kirkman, the comic creator, said he was okay with Andrea's desth in the show). It was Scott Gimple, the one who wrote the episode "Clear" w/Morgan(and other eps), that actually wrote in Andrea's farewell scene with the crew to give her a proper send off, which she said at least appreciated. Scott Gimple ended up replace Mazzara for season 4 all the way until the end of season 8. Laurie still speaks about how hates how dirty she feels they did her and her character, Andrea. When she signed on with Darabont, she was supposed to get Andrea's comic story, but didn't outside of making her a great shot(Andrea ended up being the sniper in the crew in the comics, which another character ends up the badass shooter and taking that sniper role in the show). Again, this most of this is alleged and this was something I read YEARS ago, so I don't even remember where I even read it... On a real life heroic note: Over a year after leaving The Walking Deadklate 2014), Laurie Holden helped the CIA and Honeland Security by being part of a ragtag team of volunteers(including two crossfire instructors and a door to door salesman), going undercover for a sting operation to take down a Columbian Sex Trafficking Ring. They rescued 55 minors who were being trafficked, girls most in their early teens, but some even as young as 11/12 years old. 12 people were arrested during the sting operation...

I’m not made at the shooting per say it’s the “shooting to kill” that I felt like was unnecessary. Big H also said he didn’t need to do it and he had a better view than all of us. -Adison

Montae Williams

I believe Merle believed he could’ve killed his dad. Think about it. He grew up being abused. He wasn’t meek by any means. As a teen he likely started to fight back. In the heat of the moment he absolutely could have gone too far either in defense of himself/Daryl OR he might’ve considered killing his dad while the man was drunk in front of the tv. Also, he’d been to juvy. Don’t you know that’s one of the things they tell victims of abuse? They say it to women to keep them from going back and they say it to teens to keep them from acting up outside the home (school fights/gangs/running away from foster fam etc).

Wolfy! Wolfi! Wolfé!

Oof Brandon you are coming from a position of not experiencing extreme abuse. Prison time level of abuse. In my family everyone had different reactions to it and you can't judge someone like that.

Ash Lee Can

The Governor put the teens in the army too. Anyone who was capable was thrown in his army. The only ones left behind were the elderly, children, and probably those with disabilities and chronic conditions of some sort, which is who Tyrese & sasha were protecting. He even threw Karen's som who had asthma in the army or at least had him carrying a weapon(I have no idea what happened with that kid, but he's probably gone too)...

Montae Williams

If I were Rick, I’d take a small group back to Woodbury and loot it. Everything they didn’t retrieve in the initial move would be taken & repurposed. Initial trip: All the people, their belongings, as many drivers with their cars filled with food/supplies as possible. Get them settled in Cell bock D - Tyress, Sasha, Glenn oversee that. Carl , Carol & Maggie on watch. 2nd trip (hours later) take some townspeople back to gather artillery, the tank, other vehicles, fuel, medicine/med equipment. 3rd trip: building materials to fortify the prison outer gates. Ain’t no reason them gates should be so flimsy.

Ash Lee Can

Oh, I definitely believe Merle could have absolutely killed his father. A lot of kids who get abused will step up and push back eventually, especially when they reach a certain age and get a certain size, and the way it looked like they were getting beat to have lashes on their backs(I assume Merle had them too), I can definitely see teenage Merle, getting some height on him and maybe a little weight. And like you said, he'd most likely had already did a stunt in juvie since he was in juvie when his mom died, and he's been in juvie already before that instance. I can only imagine the rage teenage Merle had in him and he knew what could happen one day. That he'd probably blackout and beat his father to death in a confrontation, or snapping by pulling out a gun and ending it, so he left home...

Anthony2050

Great reactions...season 4, here we go!

Tyrademi

Adison and Brandon, y’all been going crazy this week. it doesn’t goes unnoticed. THANK YOU 😩❤️

akaSuzyMae

Thanks so much for these episodes!!! I'm missing the bulletin board though. It's time to do some updating.

Kristy Ranic

Nah Andreas death was one of the hardest for me to watch.

Camillionaire

We have been blessed and highly favored with these uploads the last three days. This Fandom is serious and ya'll are doing an outstanding job of keeping us fed. 🙏🏽🫶🏽Let's go ...

Camillionaire

My daughter was being messy and suggested Philip as new episode name for Brandon to try out, lol. But I told her I would not put that Evil on Brotha Geech. I refuse to defile his spirit by such a name, lol.

tcampxoxo

I really have been enjoying watching you guys! So fun fact the lady that plays Karen in this episode, also played in a very popular MTV show called Teen Wolf. I really recommend that both of you check this series out. You can find it on Hulu or Prime. It is still one of my favorite shows. Another fun fact is the main character of the Maze Runner movie series Dylan O’Brian also got his start on the show Teen Wolf. His acting in that show especially in season 3 ( which is the best season/ Fan Favorite) is what put him on the map as an actor. I also want to recommend a really good movie that he acted in called American Assassin. If you like John Wick then you will really enjoy this movie!

Nat

“You was 0-14 but you kept shooting” 😭😭😭

Harmony

I loved the caller with the Scottish accent!!

Rindamarie

The first season of Game of Thrones aired in 2011, and I remember other shows starting to kill off main characters for their shock value. It's shameful, as Andrea's arc was poorly written. I felt nothing when she died.

AD

TWD fans have been eatinggggg and im loving it fr. Reactions going crazy!! Bring on S4. 🫶🏾🫶🏾

YP

Carl was mad at the start because he wasn’t allowed to be at the prison when the governor pulled up, not about the michonne situation

Nadia Dominque

4-1 is about to stress yall out 🤣

Courtney Jayd

Brandon, I know u lying with that UK shirt on lmaoo come on now fam 🤣🤣🫠😭

SwO Beatz

Now I feel like ordering another one of those shirts 😆

connie

You really spoiling us ❤️❤️❤️

nattyindi

You just want to see more Dylan O'Brien lol

gayjinchuriki

Sorry Brandon! I usually agree with you, but this time you and Carl got it wrong. Carl gunned that kid down and there's no justifying it. Shout out to Andrea though! I found her slightly annoying during my first watches, but this time around I came to understand and appreciate her. She went out the way she originally wanted back in Season 1, taking herself out.

Yaya

😅

Cleo Griffith

Carl was mad about the Michonne situation, especially after telling his Dad she’s one of us, and for his Dad to try give her up to the guvnor makes Rick looks like the bad guy, even Glenn said he’s never seen him this mad

YP

In the moment it wasn’t said why he was mad just that this is the maddest he’s been, but wat does he say the next time we see him? “I should be there” (in the prison with Rick en them) he says. And they never mentioned the fact that he was mad about the michonne situation. I don’t doubt that he felt some type of way about it but not to that extent. Even the rest of the episode he kept pointing out that fact he can hold his own and can help in such dangerous situations hence why he didn’t take the chance and shot the kid.

Cleo Griffith

Great episode great reaction and discussion. I never did blame Carl for shooting that kid. We’re at war, your people came to my home and attacked my people. If he really wanted to put the gun down he should have turned the opening in his direction, which is how you hand a gun over. I felt more for Michonne crying over Andrea than I did Andrea. Even after the betrayal Michonne still found it in her heart to forgive her, my girl better than me. Shumpert and Martinez is some sorry a$ses for watching that man kill those people didn’t even try to do anything and then they drove off with him. We started this season with a walker eye ball and ended the season at the start of the episode with the guvnor eye ball.

nattyindi

Yeah, but those are two different situations you're trying to combine into one. When Rick confesses about Michonne the camera pans directly to Carl. It shows him drop his head in complete and utter disappointment at his father. Seeing as Rick was the one to ask Carl about Michonne it makes sense that Carl would be upset twofold: he disapproved of Rick's decision (however half-hearted), and he felt unseen and unheard because his father didn't listen when he told him she is one of us.

YP

No that’s what you’re trying to do lol, those are two different episodes. We literally see him mad as he’s packing and the very next scene he’s in is him saying that he should’ve been in the prison with them protecting it. It’s pretty obvious.

Slyladykush

“Must’ve been something else” yesss Rick!!! Get you some Michonne! 🙏🏼👏🏼😍

Fellerz

Rick and the group turned into the Vatos from season 1 taking care of the senior citizens lol. The only good person they got from that group was Sasha

Fellerz

I agree, That kid pulled up to Carls door step with a gun ready. Like shane said "Rick, it ain't like how it was before!"

Nessa _

I don't think yall are thinking about this right. He was probably mad about a lot of things. His mom died just that year he lost lots of people and then all this other stuff happened. People especially kids can hold onto more than just one thing at a time I just think the more pressing matter came up.

trexgod 25gaming

I would’ve killed that boy instantly I don’t blame Carl

Matthew Tallent

Peep the end of the episode when Rick looked up at the over walk the last time and Lori wasn’t there. Think back to the beginning of the season when he was talking to her about the prisoners and what he should do with them. She told him to “Do whatever he thinks is best, and to do it with a clear conscious ” every time he seen Lori he was having internal conflicts with himself. Until the end when he brought back the people of Woodbury. That moment officially cleared his conscious. He was at peace. At least That’s how I’ve always perceived that moment.

Nathan Hale

The governor may be my favorite character. Get rid of those dissenters.

nattyindi

Carl cares more about Michonne than he does about shooting his gun

YP

Not what I said, I’m saying he was mad because he wasn’t allowed to be in the prison protecting it. U can even see that in the very next scene Carl and Rick have after he pulled his shoulder away. He immediately starts to make his case so his father can let him come with him to Woodbury to finish it off.

Mikaevee

He got rid of them, but he’s still a sicko?

Mikaevee

Welcome to my favorite season…😼🙏

Nae

Amazing episode, I was a bit sad about Andrea but she had plenty of time to act on the issues with the governor I also feel like she tried to ignore most of the issues because she said she didn’t want anyone to get hurt…In such a world you can’t expect to always save people. Ask Rick…You know what go ask Carl😩anyway love your reactions btw❤️ Can’t wait for season 4

Mikaevee

I mean, they also got Tyrese and he basically saved people👶… I don’t wanna spoil in these comments but Tyrese also took care of Judith!

Fellerz

Adison was talking about athletes and soldiers lol that why I didn't say Tyrese. He is more of a caretaker, this is Tv Tyrese and not Comic Tyrese lol

2026-09-07 16:00 Andrea acting like she can’t talk and move her hands at the same time pissed me off

Jen Bee

lol I hate bad subtitles (I used to do captioning, I know what it takes to do a good job). The captions messed up such an important line. When Andrea says that no one can make it alone now, Daryl doesn’t say, “I never could,” he says “THEY never could,” as in nobody can ever make it alone. Like, that would be such an awkward thing to say in that moment, that he never could, lol, why would anyone say it, let alone Daryl. Just had to say something because that made me cringe 😝

Jen Bee

Here’s the thing, look back at the scene: Not only is the dude NOT actually handing over his gun, he’s also inching towards Carl with it. And he’s almost twice Carl’s size and got at least 5 years on him. If you’re being told to disarm, that ain’t the way to do it. You quickly put the gun on the ground, keep your hands in the air, and take a few long steps away from it. Think about this: if he’d suddenly come up on 4 armed grown men, do you think he would’ve done what he did, or what I described? Naw, this guy ran up on a kid, a one legged old man, and a small woman holding a baby. He’s totally sizing up his next move because of it.

Jen Bee

I think maybe he wasn’t her son, maybe she was just standing up for him? lol Karen had an episode or two where she always had something to say about the goings on at Woodbury 😆

Jen Bee

lol Addison mad about our group doing the right thing and taking in the elderly, the children, and the meek is WILD. What happened to WWJD? 🤣🤣

Sierra Davis

I ain’t gonna lie, Andrea dying hurt me. I wish she could’ve redeemed herself in the following seasons. She would’ve been a strong individual with more time.

Mikaevee

Yeah, that’s right. I was talking more about him being a caretaker, but I understand that you’re talking more about like soldier stuff. Everyone in this group was practically useless especially the kids.

courtney 🧚🏽‍♀️

i felt bad for milton…but not andrea lol she made her bed a long time ago. plus she had enough time to escape but she wanted to run her mouth yet again. if only milton woke up earlier and wasn’t so obvious about not being on the governors side anymore maybe he would have made it. i loved the group being tactical at the prison. guerrilla warfare works. also i don’t think carl had to kill that kid. he was surrendering. carl was angry and frustrated bc he wanted to fight in the prison but he wasn’t allowed to so that was his “revenge”. plus the kid ran away bc he was scared and didn’t want to fight in the first place. he was forcefully recruited. the barrel was pointed up, i think he wanted to hand them the gun he just didn’t know the right way to do it. like addison said he lacked the experience. he was no longer a threat when carl shot him. and ngl i think a part of carl always wanted to know what it was like to kill an actual person. plus he lied to try to justify killing him which means he knows that what he did was wrong. i appreciate herschel telling rick bc yes carl has to be hard, but he’s still young and developing. we don’t want him getting too hard too fast bc then he will end up more evil than good. i love the symbolism of carl having his fathers hat and badge. he’s had it since the farm when rick and him had the father son talk “no more kid stuff”. and like rick said in the beginning it’s hard to remember how young carl really is. he isn’t a man yet and he has alot to learn. he has to know right from wrong and when he needs to kill, bc he doesn’t always have to. i get his reasoning/trauma, when you don’t kill someone they come back and hurt you. but the problem is the discernment and knowing when and who to kill. also the governor is already a psychopath but killing all those people he forced to fight when they didn’t want to?! wilddddd. his body count has to be at LEAST 50 or more.

courtney 🧚🏽‍♀️

you’re spot on. it was honestly beautiful. even in death he still needs the support and guidance of his wife.

Linda Mccloud

From the day Rick and Lori had carl I disliked the little serial killer,Cps should had been called on lori for that unhinged child. And yes during the apocalypse!! Because its obvious the dead keep a better eye on him then his own parents and anyone else🤷🏿‍♀️ Andreea and Milton. I only feel bad for Milton. And I wish the other little boy was a shooter and would have put Carl down. I love Judith ❤️

OrangePeel

carl did what he had to, the guy didnt put the gun down

Linda Mccloud

He was hand it over slowly as he should have to avoid being shot!! Carl is just a little serial killer cop at heart who took the law into his own hands. Facts that boy didn't nothing wrong but followed instructions..

jasmin

perfectly said!icould really go either way on carl here y3ni he’s a baby so from his point of view it absolutely looked like he was trying something and not actually putting it down but on the other hand he’s a baby too and he probably aint even know how to put it down

jasmin

lol that was even crazier than i remembered she stopped trying to pick up them pliers for a strong half hour just to answer milton’s question about tryna save the governor

jasmin

yeah i lean towards siding with carl cause of this but i get some of the arguments going the other way-also it’s just entirely too much to put on carl he’s tryna protect his baby sister after taking out his mother and then nothing against hershel but he’s just standing there not even attempting to control the situation

nattyindi

Handing a gun over slowly is not the way to avoid getting shot. Dropping your weapon and putting both hands in the air is. And that Woodbury boy did neither. He held on to his weapon while inching closer and closer to Carl (and by extension to Hershel and Beth). He was an enemy combatant and is lucky he was even given the chance to disarm instead of being blasted on sight.

nattyindi

He sees them as a waste of resources with not much to give in exchange.

Jaci Henley

Daryl is sensitive, no matter how tough he is..

Camillionaire

The woman (Karen) who survived the Governor's shooting rampage on his people was not sleeping with the Governor.

Camillionaire

@brandon where is Lil Carl's Big Daddy points for handling business protecting Big H, Beth and Judith. There were variables to consider in that situation. If he was allowed to live, they would never be able to trust him. Just like that boy on the farm Shane eventually killed.

Camillionaire

@Ad We got all of the sorry folks though 🤣😂 First the people of Woodbury were an edible group now they just sorry. God willing they may have some useful skills or talents like Brotha Geech said. Use that mustard seed of faith, Brother Ad, lol.

JS310

Anyone else think the 'A' hat is convenient?

Sabrina

I used to think Carl was wrong for killing that kid. Rewatching now - I agree with his decision. They just got attacked 5 minutes ago, literally. It is not the time to extend grace! He had to go! And yea they could've talked to him to get his story, but why would they believe him? Anybody can lie, and saying "he made us come do this" sure sounds convenient. I'm with little Carl on this one. Carl once again standing on business.

Nae

Omggg I can’t wait for season 4, Ya’ll are going to love it !

james moore

"No disrespect but we got the sorry folk" 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

LB

The only time I felt bad for Andrea was when she wanted to stay in the lab instead of be eaten because Dale didn’t have the right to pressure her out of that decision given the alternative potentially is be eaten alive and she had so many close calls before it ultimately happened. None of this would have happened if they left her in the lab. But everything else she’s done was super self centered and attention seeking. Lori clocked her tea about working on her tan. Andrea wanted Shane and then The Governor bc she wants whoever is in charge who is willing to do the bad things to make sure she’s cared for. That’s why Lori never fully let go of Shane. Bc if Andrea had him she could have convinced him to do the things that wouldn’t have been in Carl’s best interest.

LB

Lori is the girl that gets all the attention. Andrea is the girl that seeks all the attention. They’re both gone now.

Jade

Came to say the same thing!!!!

Jordan Tracey

He also explicitly instructed the kid to put the gun down and he tried to hand the gun over. Dropping it and handing it over while still being able to operate it are two different things. Plus Carl witnessed Shane get gunned down by his dad pretending to surrender his weapon, he wouldn't take that chance. I see reason behind Carl's logic, not malice.

Jordan Tracey

coming back to this show made me realize how bad the writing is for the women and how that caused so much frustration for the fanbase

Iriana F

I rebuke this comment. Carl is one of the best characters on the show and no one can tell me otherwise

Karina

You guys missed that Rick stopped seeing seeing Lori. He found his way by helping people.

* The title of the episode, "Welcome to the Tombs", refers to the Woodbury Army being ambushed in "The Tombs". * "The Tombs" (as called by T-Dog in S3EP4 "Killer Within") are a portion of the prison that is infested with walkers, as mentioned by Glenn and Carl in S3EP10 "Home" * The episode's exact runtime is 00:43:16. * This is the last episode written by Glen Mazzara * Andrea says, "I know how the safety works," to Rick when asking for his gun to commit suicide with to prevent her reanimation as a reference to S1EP5 "Wildfire" * Coincidentally, Amy was bitten by a walker on the neck, similarly to Andrea. However, Andrea prevented her reanimation by shooting her in the head while she reanimated.  * She becomes the fifth main cast character to die and this is the second time that two main cast characters have died in successive episodes. * This season finale marks the first season finale in which Rick's Group is able to hold their own in their home and were not driven out by walkers or other survivors. * In S1EP6 "TS-19", the group was forced to leave the CDC before it exploded and in S2EP13 "Beside the Dying Fire", walkers overran Hershel's farm. * The Bible passage that was highlighted and found by the Governor is John 5:29; "And shall come forth; they that have done good, unto the resurrection of life; and they that have done evil, unto the resurrection of damnation." In this chapter, Jesus heals a sick man and preaches about everlasting life and that "...The hour is coming, and now is, when the dead shall hear the voice of the Son of God: and they that hear shall live." (John 5:25). * The Facebook page of The Walking Deadstated there would be 27 deaths in this episode. They ended up being Andrea, Harrison, Milton, Mamet, Jody, Paul, Allen, Noah, and 20 Woodbury Soldiers * This episode begins with a close up of the Governor's eye that then zooms out which is homage to S3EP1 "Seed", where the episode begins with a closeup of a walker's eye before zooming out. * Dallas Roberts (Milton) is not credited in this episode * According to Woodbury extra William Tokarsky, the finale was supposed to be two hours long, and included scenes of him and other Woodbury soldiers being attacked and killed by Rick and Michonne in the tombs. * According to Woodbury extra Keith Barnett, there was a scene of him and three other Woodbury soldiers tripping and falling into a barbed wire trap set up in the tombs of the prison, however the scene was deleted. * This is the first season finale to feature a main character death. * It was given by Laurie Holden that Andrea wasn't originally to die in the episode, saying that Andrea was supposed to end up as the leader of Woodbury's people, filling up the Governor's boots but it was changed 3 weeks before the shooting of the episode began. "...everyone was shocked." Holden says in one of her interview, "But this is The Walking Dead, nothing is certain anymore." * The same as her death, the one that was aired was re-written by Scott Gimple, while the original (which was written by Glen Mazzara) shows Andrea got bitten by Milton on the hand while still bounded to the chair, screaming. In the end, Tyreese and Sasha were the ones who found her already bitten, and then two freed Andrea from the chair. Sasha then says that she won't leave her alone, but Andrea insists that Sasha give her the gun. Sasha gives what Andrea wants because, as given by Sonequa Martin-Green, it was her funeral, and Sasha would give her what she wants, so Sasha gives her the gun, and the two leave Andrea to commit suicide. The gunshot is then heard. * Andrea's death received a polarized reaction. For "Welcome to the Tombs", IGN writer, Eric Goldman disliked that the finale rested its dramatic conclusion on Andrea's death. AV Club writer, Zack Handlen said that Andrea would be "missed less" than Milton. Erik Kain of Forbes.com said that "Finally, Andrea is dead. I know this is something I've wished for all season, but it almost felt cheap at the end." Conversely, Josh Jackson, writing for Paste called the death "a heartbreaking end for the woman who tried to make peace between the two gangs of survivors." * Reports state that creative conflicts occurred primarily between Robert Kirkman and then-showrunner Glen Mazzara. Kirkman believed that Season 3's story pacing was too fast and that the show would catch up with the still ongoing comic book if it continued at the same pace. Kirkman also had an issue with how much Season 3 was deviating from the comic book story, which in turn would make the following seasons harder to adapt to television from the comic book source material. Finally, production became difficult when Glen Mazzara had difficulty writing and developing storylines for the eight-episode length in the second half of Season 3. As a result, multiple episodes in the second half were hastily rewritten just before filming and barely met shooting deadlines. These issues led to Mazzara being fired and this episode being dramatically rewritten from what Glen Mazzara originally envisioned. This also led to the seasons following Season 3 adapting the comic book much more closely and having a slower-paced story that could more easily fill the 16-episode length required for each season of the show. * This episode marks Lauren Cohen's (Maggie) 25th appearance on the TV Series * The episode shattered the zombie drama's own ratings record yet again, scoring 12.42 million total viewers in its initial 9 p.m. broadcast and 8.1 million in the advertiser-coveted adults 18-49 demographic. The numbers represent series bests in total viewers and in the demographic. * This episode marks the first time Carl is shown killing a live person.

* On Andrea's second attempt to pick up the pliers with her toes, she picks them up with the head pointing from the top of her toes. In the next shot, the handles are pointed out. * Before committing suicide, Andrea says "I know how the safety works" as Rick hands her the Colt Python. Though it's a throwback to the same line she said before, it’s also an error here as revolvers don't have safeties. * When Andrea shoots herself and just before she drops the Python, a shell can be heard hitting the ground, even though revolvers do not eject shells when fired. * Although, this is very likely just the sound of Andrea dropping the revolver after she committed suicide. * All throughout Season 3-including the episode previous-the gate between the courtyard and the field in the prison had been a roller gate. In this episode, the gate has been redesigned without any acknowledgement on-screen, to accommodate some new hinges, with the rollers located away from the bars they once rolled on. The wheels that used to be located at the bottom have also been removed. This new hinged gate design is also used throughout Season 4 * It is uncertain as to whether this redesign was made as a retcon for plot convenience, or whether it was designed as a practical effect, made to look as if the truck damages it as it smashes through. Regardless, the changes to the gate are visible before the truck makes impact.

Very excited. The 1/2 of season 4 of walking dead is my favorite season. The mid-season finale is amazing.

Gracie's Revenge

I do like how even though they were on the outs, her spirit was lingering from the otherside to get Rick through this whole situation and back to a good place. That's why, at the very end, she finally wasn't staring down at him from that catwalk. She'd done her job, now she can rest peacefully and Rick can move on with his life. Closure of sorts.

Gracie's Revenge

And I know the kid was nervous but he was just moving too slow. It could totally come across as suspicious. And with what Carl saw and went through this season, I can see why he has the thought process he has. We have to remember too, that he's still a kid and still lacks the nuance and deeper critical thinking that adults develop with age. Plus, no joke Brandon's right. That kid would've ended up done and dusted anyways because he would've been one of the ones the Governor killed on the side of the road when he got mad that they all fled. His number was up.

Gracie's Revenge

Let's be real, not just 4-1., only ep 4-1 through 4-16 will stress you out lmao! (Seriously though, season 4 and 5 are my favorite seasons of the whole show, and dare I say even into season 6A)

Gracie's Revenge

I know older and 'weaker' people don't contribute as far as going out and scavenging, protecting, etc but they can help a lot. some of the people who are able can at the very least be lookouts and work the gate. A lot of the older people will have skillsets that will come in handy and they can teach them to the younger ones; they can clean, cook, garden/farm, sew and make or repair clothes, help watch the kids or tend to the ill or injured; many of the men probably know how to build things and fix things and cars, many of them probably know a lot about fishing, hunting/trapping, and even foraging wild edibles and gathering things in the wild to use as medicine, tools, etc. A lot of the old women most likely know how to preserve and can fresh stufff you grow in a garden or pick in the wild thus giving you food supply for the winter; and they may even know how to cure/dry meats and make jerky, etc. Some like Hershel would know how to raise and tend animals. Many of the older ladies would know how to identify certain illnesses and how to treat them. There may be be woodworkers/carpenters or blacksmiths....with a range of people with varying skillsets they could build a great community.
