Aww, the boys are all down trodden after that last episode. Everyone else too, when we first watched it live. That episode gave me real grief. I think I stopped watching for awhile. Glenn was one of my favorites. And he was going to be a dad! That fantasy meal scene (with Glenn holding a toddler) broke my heart.

💯 People say Abraham's death was overshadowed by Glenn's death and while I do agree. I loved Abraham also. Glenn was our Day One. He was a beloved character with a baby on the way and a wife. Neither of them deserved such horrific deaths. RIP Brotha Abraham my beloved Ginger. You made me laugh like no other.

I think Abraham's death was less traumatizing for me because he died defiantly, staring Negan in the eye. Glenn's was worse because of the kid on the way and because it wouldn't have happened if Daryl hadn't acted up. But yeah, RIP to Abraham too.

I am another who refuse to watch that last episode. I can’t stomach watching the character Negan on screen knowing who and what he is. Once was enough. Any other time I usually pass over any and all Jeffrey D Morgan parts until finally I simply stop watching the show.

When I first saw Ezekiel, I thought Michonne now has a twist partner. Their dreads are going to be fresh from now on! Yes, I also think Zek is playing the long game! I agree with what Brandon said; it's as if the writers started going in a Game of Thrones direction, introducing a lot of new characters. GoT's popularity was rising above TWD's. I know these characters are in the book. Enjoy the Kingdom.

As an OG reader of The Walking Dead comics that premiered way back in 2003, I have to put a reminder here that this show is based off of that same comic that Robert Kirkman created. All of the wild stuff that's happening in the show had already been written in the comics.

Carol and the guy in Alexandria were plainly enjoying each other's company. They are a source of mutual comfort for each other. After having an abusive husband and where she is in this apocalyptic life the simplicity of this symbiotic relationship works for her. He is likely a widower and it also works for him. Everything does not have to be so calculated or so malignantly viewed.

I actually do like Gavin compared to the other Saviors, so far. He's not really douchey or arrogant like the rest of the Savior leaders we've met. He seems more like that dude that that comes to work ready to go home before he even clocks in lol. Like he just wants to make his quota and go home. Especially when his subordinates making his job more difficult. Don't invite me out for happy hour afterwards or nothing. Don't knock on my door unless it's important. I'm going home lol. Gavin and Ezekiel seem to have some level of respect in their dealings, at least. They got a routine, get in and out, none of the extra talking, and I'll see ya next week. They would have been fine if it wasn't for the long haired goofy. If I had to deal with a Savior leader directly for these drop-offs, I'd pick him, so far...

I love the symbolism of him offering her the pomegranate, you eat the food of the fae and you become part of their realm And yes there is also the pomegranate in Persephone and Hades the god of the Underworld but I love the fae analogy better since Ezekiel didn't kidnap her 😂

After such a heavy episode, this one felt a bit deflating at first. But during my re-watch with you guys, I realized it’s exactly what was needed: a moment to breathe, something lighter and more hopeful to break the tension and offer a bit of distraction. Like I’ve said before, even though I started enjoying the show less after the introduction of the Saviors and that N*gan guy, one thing I do love is getting to explore other communities. Seeing how different people live and how the world expands beyond just our main group. Out of all the leaders we’ve met so far, King Ezekiel might actually be my favorite, even more than Rick. I’ve just never connected with Rick the way others do. But Ezekiel? He brings something different. This episode really highlights the stark contrast between King Ezekiel and someone like the Governor. And I loved how you guys pointed out the way Ezekiel "overdoes" the good in the same way Negan "overdoes" the bad. That was such a great observation. I’ll end by saying this might be one of the best post-show discussions you’ve had so far. Thank you for bringing Osafa into the mix. He was a great addition. The three of you really work well together.

Yeah you'll have met Shiva, Jerry, Ezekiel and the Kingdom. I absolutely love Shiva. She's one of my Favorite additions. So far we now know Negan have the hilltop the kingdom and now Alexandria under his thumb, is there any other communities out there he have under his thumb also? After the last episode it was nice to get away from Negan and the depression, I mean I know Negan was apart of this episode but it wasn't so bad, because it was just his people.

Can't lie, I miss Glenn alot, but I absolutely LOVE Ezekiel, Shiva, & Jerry! Jerry is like the ultimate bro who's really a teddy bear. IF we had to lose Glenn, they are some of the only characters on the show I'd put in his place as far as you can love them/root for them the same way.

When telling Morgan that he asked him to come with him to meet the saviors he meant that he could stay calm and level headed to not kill if he DOESNT have to. I think Brandon still thought he meant he wouldn’t kill if he did have to.

I’m just getting caught up with these. Glad you met the King and Jerry and Shiva. Carol sees right through him though lol. The song the chorus was singing is a Bob Dylan song from 1963 called Don’t Think Twice, It’s Alright. I will say that you all are crazy accurate and fast with most of your predictions on situations. The first time I watched this series I lost, especially when new characters were introduced. However I would not say Ezekiel is a level headed version of Rick. If anything he is too scared to stand up to the Saviors or have the delusional world image he created shattered for his people which is why he keeps it a secret from the rest of the Kingdom. Looking forward to catching up on these today. Cheers!

Talking with the dead over at least 20 something times so I'm very detailed and know every episode word for word. Seen every web episodes, every spin off. I think Ezekiel's introduction is wilder than Negan. Only because I consider the introduction to Negan to be back at Hill Top or anytime we heard his name, not when we actually met him. We had an expectation of who he was episodes before he came onscreen. King Ezekiel just popped up on us with his tiger. 😂
