Perfect timing yet again 🤘🏻🤘🏻

10k eez

I WAS JUST THINKING ABOUT THIS .. GET OUT MY THOUGHTS 😂😂

Tyah Reacts

RIP Carl😔. This will forever be the worst decision the producers ever made. Chose money over legacy, smh.

Ruby

this is gonna be a rough one 😭

Harmony

Carl!!😭😭😭

bella

YESS i made it early today!!

Tami Hart

Addison done gave up 🙁

Serenity La’sandra

Him making those memories with Judith.. the picture of them together so she has it, the handprints 😭 brb already tearing up

Serenity La’sandra

In the midst of all this, using the walkers as ploys in the war, forgot that they are the main enemy.

Destyne

Not interested no more was definitely me too 😭💀

Pat McConnell

Genuinely wonder if you guys weren’t paying close enough attention or simply forget the fact that Rosita isn’t to blame for Daryl and Tara’s plan. Y’all keep getting on her case this season when she is one of the only ones that’s been actually following and advocating for Rick’s plan. She even said no and walked away from Daryl and Tara’s plan BEFORE Michonne came to her senses and she left as well. Rosita’s time for reckless and selfish behavior was in season 7, but pay attention and you’ll see she’s learned her lesson and got a lot more zen this season.

Serenity La’sandra

Nah I was starting to cry as he said bye to Judith but you got me laughing at the patty cake 🤣

Steven Ellis

I hated dwight but dude really down with us

Serenity La’sandra

Y’all I’m just trying to cry in peace but now you got me laughing at the “you know your mama a liar boy” 🤣🤣 this is not the time Adison lmao

Matthew Tallent

Yall have GOT to stick through the rest of the show. I promise it gets better. Most people crap on the later seasons, but they’re truly some of the best.

bella

What makes the moment where carl puts himself down even sadder is the fact after you hear the gunshot, you can hear his arm falling. Usually in movies/shows you really only hear the gunshot and nothing after. for me it was just even more sad hearing his arm fall to the ground after the shot

The Golden Adonis

Yall HAVE to stop including Rosita in the mess when you blaming Daryl and Tara and Morgan. She BEEN said no, left them and they still went along with it. Michonne stayed longer than her mind you. Rosita had her JUSTIFIED crash out moment and reeled it back in since. The way yall kept including her name with the rest last episode was wrong lol. Even when they pulled up she said no, Carl is right. She knows how to play her position

ThisisPaulE

They were probably talking during certain scenes and missed something like always

Serenity La’sandra

The fact that Carl still thought about that kid to this day 😭

tyronne jones

Yall chill on my girl Rosita she was NOT apart of Daryl and Tara’s foolishness…

Avishai

In my house we call Morgan the "Terminator".

Destyne

Ayoo Adison ain’t got no type of chill 😭 when Carl said his mama told him he would beat this world before she died im like “awee 🥺💔” Here go Adison… “you know your mama was liar boy” 😐🤦🏾‍♀️🤣

james moore

Carl lasted cause his bite wasnt that bad. It was just bad enough for him to get sick. Its the fever that kills you

KING Guyton

Killing off carl was the worst decision the writers of this show has ever made. Kinda ruined the show for a lot of people (me included)

Ken

Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl wanted a raise after he turned 18, they didn’t give him one after he bought a house near the set so he left and they killed Carl off 🫶🏾

Jock Wihn

Man. Damn. You guessed it. His contract ran out, it was some bs. Dude had his best performance in this episode. The whole show was leading up to him becoming the protagonist and if you check the comics…let’s just say this episode gonna piss you off.

Azmodayus

Chandler Riggs dad said that AMC promised him a raise since he was turning 18. He got a house near where they filmed and was planning on attending school in Georgia too. Then, they decided to kill off Carl so they didn't have to pay him. Dirty.

Carlos Gomez

What makes these last two episodes hard, is that we watch him grow from a child to the young man he became . I remember my first time watching this. And feel how hard it hit me. Even now everytime I rewatch the season , its still hits hard. Carl Grimes is still my favorite character of the season. Quite the opposite from the TWD comics . Also luv yalls reactions. The journey continues. Peace my brothers

Missy

They deviated from the comic book with this..

gem

42:37 to add on to what adison said, in my opinion i believe that carl already saw michonne as his "mom" in 6x10 when michonne finds out he was in the woods when spencer was looking for deanna. carl told her if she was ever a walker or bit then he would be the one who put her down because "it should be someone who loves you" so in a way he told her he saw her as that without outwardly telling her.

Steven Ellis

Man negan evil but really it’s Simon an a few of the other dudes who are like evil evil

Peter

The writers Scott Gimple and his goon squad fired the kid because he was turning 18. His death is the equivalent of like three main characters Glenn, Abraham and Sasha. We don't need to lose anyone else to Negan and the Saviors.

gem

Yep and to add on: Chandler was looking to find a university and house close to the filming location. They just did him dirty all around

Marrkaink

You guys should add the spin off Fear The Walking Dead to the rotation. You don't have to finish the main series before starting that one because the story is different and follows a completely different group on the west coast.

Peter

Grimey all the way around shame on them for even greenlighting that mess. All for shock smh.

Pinder

No they are not

dlite357

Now would be a good time to watch "Fear of the Walking Dead."

Queen S

Did y'all see how Judith was reaching for Carl man that broke my heart then she started crying I couldn't take it y'all RIP Carl 😭😭😭

Queen S

I would have to fall in love with a show knowing that my favorite characters can die at any time I'm with a lot of you when I first saw this episode I was so angry killing Carl off like that after everything he's done and been through he got taken out by a walker I was very upset it's hard for me to talk about this episode this really hurts

Sammy Pichardo

That show is so mid and way too long

Sammy Pichardo

I read that he even went and bought a house in the state they were filming, just to get fired essentially lol

yellow

the story about how chandler riggs found out about this storyline makes me so mad.. it's so stupid and cruel

Sammy Pichardo

Why they think Tara and Daryl are the ones that got Carl bit, he got bit before the plan was happening when he was on his own little side quest to help Siddiq

Athasin

The way Morgan and Carol took out that crew is like when you play a stealth video game. Scary seeing it from the otherside.

MeowCITY* 🐈‍⬛

The way I wept throughout this entire episode 😢. I hated this

Amber

Y'all are missing the point of the episode. It’s not about the enemy, blame, who did what, bad decisions made with good or bad intentions. It’s about rising above all that. Daryl and Tara made a bad call, happens to them all. And y'all know that like, in the real world, diplomacy works. Wars end. Peace treaties are signed. It's possible to coexist if they want it enough. You know...like the Bible said. Turn the cheek and everything. 77 times and all.

Cnz43

I'm keen on seeing you guys reaction to 8x12. Hey everybody Jesus Christ is GOD much love, and repentance is a gift from GOD amen. Verse of the day: Romans 10:9 - That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

xeve

i'll avoid spoilers, but you can tell after this plot finishes up the show starts to feel cheaper in a number of ways

Linda Mccloud

Good riddance I Love Judith baby Judith more

Pinder

And that's yours bud

Kim Magee

Daryl and Tara are not the reason Carl died, But yeah they went against Rick, And took things into their own hands and things went bad, I wasn't angry at them at this point. Everyone makes mistakes, But way in the future I get angry at Daryl for him judging someone else making a big mistake

Andrew743

I believe chandler Riggs left because he had to go to college

Moondragon1821

I have a weird relationship with this episode in this moment. I saw it year and years ago, but when the song started playing in the beginning, I knew it sounds familiar, or at least the voices did. One of my ex's favorite bands. He's as disgusting as the walkers are as a person, and I hate that this made me remind me of him. Edit: But good episode and reaction regardless.

Moondragon1821

This also reaffirms to me that I wouldn't want to be kept alive, wasting resources. I get bit, take me out! Give me moments to say my peace and goodbyes, but I don't need anyone wiping wash clothes against my face, giving me sips of water. I want death with dignity on my terms.

Rindamarie

Chandler Riggs & Lenny James acting was top notch! I’m still angry about how they (Scott Gimple) wrote of Carl’s character. 🙄

SDSavvy

I get tired of having people go soft when one of the really bad a-holes is defeated. “You don’t have to do this, bla bla bla” The ones in charge need to be put down after all they did. Period.

ktg4124

I'm not sure if this is true, but I did hear something about Carl's character would have still been here if the directors paid him as an adult. Lots of people were saying the same thing so I think that's why he was written off. I do agree on it being kind of quick because a character like him should go out in a way better way. A death by a zombie bite is for less important characters in my opinion.

Alec L

and from here on out the walking dead will never be the same. at this point i really kinda stopped caring. what they did to my boy carl, and how unceremoniously it happened, really turned me off of the show. smh

SirBigBalls

They killed off Carl because the show runners and producers would legally need to pay him Adult wages since he was turning 18. They did not want to pay him adult wages so they killed him off. It’s stupid I know

Nicky A

It's based on a comic series, so there's that.

connie

It was messed up. Chandler had bought a house near the set and everything so he could go to school and do the show. Chandlers dad was very candid about how Scott Gimple told him that he'd be needed for 3 more years, only to kill Carl character 2 weeks before Chandler 18th birthday. It caused massive backlash because Carl DOESN'T die in the comic. His arc is about eventually taking the mantle from Rick.

Linda Mccloud

Crazy part is Judith was supposed to have died while Laurie was pregnant because she fell on top of her while running and they pistol popped her. And Carl supposed to be telling the story.. but Honestly I loved Judith survived 🤷🏾‍♀️

connie

I hope y'all have read the comments since then, because you keep blaming Rosita when she wasn't part of Daryl and Tara plan. She even left before Michonne did and said she trusted Rick's plan! Morgan, Daryl and Tara are the ones. Nobody else.

kraekay

Rumor has it Chandler Riggs (Carl) was turning 18 and AMC didn’t want to pay him an adult salary, which would have been a lot as he was one of the original characters. I think at the time they made it sound like he wanted to go to college or something…

Serenity

Carl lasted around the same time as Bob did when he was bitten. I think it's hard to tell how fast paced this season is with different POVs, but episodes 1-8 are only two separate days. They go into the third day overnight with Carl dying. Almost a full day is definitely a longgg time though considering he may have lasted even longer

Tyah Reacts

@Addison, it would be great if you could pause it when Brandon and Osafa are ranting. 🙏🏾

Shaunakills

i love yall, but yall be talking thru some of the best dialogue scenes 😭

Cliff

Yes. Fear is so bad.

Cliff

Yeah I dont understand the "I stopped watching cause a fictional character died" crowd. Grow up. The standard James Bond will all ways win BS got old. I love the "anybody can get it shows".

Matthew Tallent

Exactly!! That’s what makes the show more realistic. If all the main characters stayed alive, what’s the point of the show? Any given person can get it at any given moment. It keeps you invested in the show.

Shawanda

❤️❤️❤️❤️

Rylee

this show is not worth watching at all. especialy after TWD lol its not near as good

Constantdev

The way I was bawling my eyes out when I first saw this episode was so cruel of the writers

Hanna

Funny had a cousin was super close with obsessed with Bright Eyes (Lived 3 hours in country dirt roads away Didn't see often but closest cousin.) So also, his favorite band. He would play acoustic versions & scream sing in coffee shops etc sounded better than singer in band! Welp he basically shoved a sociopath narcissist into my life to get the demon out of HIS life..dude was homeless livin wit him ex druggy used to be mentally lost etc so shoves us together I never dated or knew a thing. He moved in eit me my mom step-dad etc then right as finish college talks me into traveling country.. . I was 20 yrs old too young to know better.. You see that Gabby Petito story news. Literally SAMe shit i delt with. Traveling van sleeping etc parks. across country trip. gas lighting hours of fights. Back then no reception cell phones like now too. But they get u away from fam for shit behavior. That story crushed me cuz lived like EXACTLY what that poor girl wrnt thru Omg un Pure evil intelligent charismatic empty vessel life rouiner. Didn't see my cousin for a year. Ran into him grocery store walked by gave nervous smile ignored me.. guilty conscious. Then many years ran into him at my brother's funeral AFTER psycho gone.. he hugged my mom right next to me & still iignored me Didn't even hug me. KNOW put demon parasite in my life for 9 years smh. Anyway sorry didn't mean be so long, point is feel your pain, & crazy how this band association with trauma

KBaily

Someone said earlier that Carl told Michonne if she was ever bit he would put her down because it should be someone you love. But then when it happens to him, he decided to do it himself which is opposite of what their agreement was. I’m sure he was trying to not let them have to go through that but still. They got him to the church and he basically confessed what was eating away at him. He was well on his way to heaven, until he took his own life. Some people believe s*i*i*e is a sin, including me so that hurt to the core. But Carl was such a great kid and cared about what really mattered in life. So I hope they made an exception for Carl at the pearly gates and let him in. It upset me more than anything that he died alone and in a manner that may have jeopardized him in the afterlife. Anyways, just my opinion. This was a hard one for sure. Maybe hold off on the conversations until afterwards though so important lines aren’t missed. But the cheeky comments here and there crack me up sometimes. Thanks for another great episode reaction!

Hanna

The first 3 seasons were at least watchable but man the last few were so bad writing it was laughable bad unbearable forcing yourself to watch terrible bad bad awful nonsensical writing!

Tom Vp

If your death is already 100% guaranteed in an hour. I dont see it as suici**, but i see how thats a slippery slope argument

Camillionaire

No, he said in an interview that he was blindsided by their decision. Chandler Riggs said he specifically asked them about his longevity on show because he wanted to purchase a home. He purchased the home to be closer to work. Then they killed in off the show.

Cleo Griffith

R.I.P. Carl. That whole dream sequence was Carl's. He was dreaming of a future with no fighting and everyone getting along. Also Rick knew Carl wasn't going to make it to the Hilltop because he had the same experience with Jim in S1. Poor Jim is probably still out there wondering aimlessly. This episode always makes me cry. The way Michonne dropped to her knees after seeing the walker bite always gets me. Such a sad episode.

Kristien

The reason why Carl is gone is, because his parents were divorcing and they were fighting over his money!!! His mother was his agent and manager. His dad came to the set and threatened to sue the network and producer if they did not put him in charge of Chandler Rigg’s money, so they had to get rid of Carl!!!! His parent needed everything up for him!!!

Kristien

No this is not at all true and makes no sense!!

Kristien

Wrong as well, but close!!!

AI Overview The producers of The Walking Dead, specifically showrunner Scott Gimple, killed off Carl Grimes to serve as a story-driven turning point that would motivate Rick Grimes to move forward in the show, making him a more morose and inattentive leader. While fans and some media reports have suggested the move was a cost-saving measure due to Chandler Riggs turning 18 and demanding adult wages, Gimple and Riggs himself have stated it was a narrative choice. The Story-Driven Reason: Rick's Motivation: Gimple explained that Carl's death was intended to be a story-based decision to motivate Rick. It served as a pivotal moment that would impact the direction of the character's story and the series as a whole. A Shocking Plot Twist: The death was a significant plot twist intended to show the brutal nature of the post-apocalyptic world and the profound changes the characters were undergoing. Fan and Media Speculation: Cost-Saving Theory: A persistent theory among fans is that the producers killed Carl to avoid paying Chandler Riggs adult wages after he turned 18, though no official confirmation of this exists. Riggs' Experience: Chandler Riggs himself was surprised by the decision, as he had bought a home in Georgia to be closer to the show's filming location and had planned to attend college while still filming. What the Producers and Riggs Have Said: Gimple's Stance: Gimple has consistently stated that the decision was purely for the story and not influenced by any requests from the actor or cost-saving motives. Riggs' Perspective: While initially devastated, Riggs has also expressed satisfaction with how his character's exit ultimately played out as a story element.

Tina D

I don't know the real reason behind Chandler's exist and Carl's death but letting him going to save a few extra thousands a show seems crazy. I don't believe that was the reason. Maybe they did tell him he would be around longer and then the story direction changed. It sucks but it happens. If it was in writing then nothing could be done.

Austin Hogan

Well, considering that Rick woke up from a coma after two months with no water or IV literally no life support. I’m guessing he has an evolved form of the virus mutated to benefit the host after he gave his blood, he passed on some of his immunity, has healed from life-threatening injuries with no surgery a collapsed lung, and a concussion after and gunshot fighting the governor and just sleeps it off if the dead rising that begs the question why is the virus around? Clearly somebody was trying to not die and created something to prevent that possibly only certain genetic markers can be matched to it to where they don’t turn into the living dead

Austin Hogan

The actor for Carl Chandler Riggs just wanted to go to college it wasn’t at all planned that he would leave till the end

revolves.round.AVA

I'm confused on how yall are blaming Daryl, Rosita, and Tara for Carl's death? It was completely unrelated, and Rosita wasn't even apart of it. Rosita said she believed in Rick.

Ana Saldana

this comment section is just making things up lol. this included.

Kristien

Why are you replying to something I said in September and I was not making anything up. Stop being a troll, because you are more than 6 mouths late to the party!!! You clown!!!!

BojacksReacts

Or maybe as a reactor and when you reactor to more than one show for such a long time believe it or not as a human being it can be difficult to remember every detail of a tv show. Next time just enjoy the reaction or go watch it for free without the reaction
