The idea to kill Negan idea obviously isn’t cancerous to Maggie and Daryl…wasn’t it just last season that yall hated Negan and were on board with our characters killing him? Now you’re angry with Maggie for still wanting him dead? What Rick and Michonne did by sparing Negan was selfish. Plain and simple. You can try to argue that Daryl and Maggie are being selfish by wanting to kill Negan, but no doubt a majority of the rest of the characters are on the side of killing Negan so it’s not like it’s an unpopular opinion. They all went into the war with the end goal of killing Negan in mind, but once Rick lost his son and heard Carl’s dying wish be to make peace with Negan, he and Michonne then selfishly decided to spare him on behalf of not just Maggie, but every other survivor of the communities that’s been wronged by him. Rick and Michonne only thought of Carl, nobody else.

And on top of that, Rick ROBBED Oceanside to fight Negan, talked all that STUFF about fighting together to take the down the Saviors AND THEN TURNED AROUND AND JUST LET THEM ALL GO. Do you know how MAD I would be if I were them? You come into MY safe space, take MY guns, ask me to put MY people's lives on the line with the promise that we are ending the saviors, and at the final hour you say, "Psych, my promise to my dead son means more to me than getting justice for ALL your dead sons, brothers, husbands, uncles, nephews, boyfriends, and male cousins' lives." But honestly, if you had that type of outlook on it you have to look at all of the seasons of TWD... just like Rick stated Daryl gave him a second chance even though he left Merle to die on the roof. Gabriel got a second chance, so did Rick, Carol, Michelle, Tara, Eugene, etc. Alot of the main characters have done terrible things and have double crossed their own group. When Negan was first introduced I hated him because of the situations. But you gotta realise, if you flip the script and if TWD main group was the saviors, you would be saying the same thing about Ricks group how evil and twisted they are. To be fair our group started it first and killed all those people in the satellite outposts for no reason Whatsoever.... so Negan taking only to begin with one was more than merciful. Negan did was aweful, yes, but killing is not going to make it any better, it doesnt bring back the dead. With also what Carl was referring to when he shot and killed that boy that was against him, he surrendered and yet Carl still shot him because it was "easier." Its not..

sorry i just couldnt live with the saviors after they killed my people and i know my hands are clean (oceanside) its different if its rick and the group oceanside had no bodies before the saviors came and took everything from them. realistically nobody is taking arat aside and asking her why she did what she did etc she gotta go as soon as we heard she was killing kids that was her choice to laugh in they face and pull the trigger yea simon mightve told them they had to do it but if she really couldnt stomach killing a kid then she wouldnt have did it she didnt feel any remorse because negan came along and she was STILL killing innocent people 🤦🏽‍♀️

I’m so exhausted of this argument cause are you honestly saying that Rick’s group started the conflict first? That they had NO reason whatsoever to take out the satellite outpost? Were you even watching the show? Just willfully forgetting when Daryl, Sasha, and Abe were attacked by the saviors on the road MULTIPLE times. Or how Jesus explained that the saviors had the Hilltop enslaved and would do the exact same thing to any other community they cross…..The trade/food Hilltop was offering wasn’t the only reason that Rick’s group attacked the outpost and I’m so tired of Negan fans trying to rewrite the show to make it out like they didn’t have a valid reason to want to take out that threat of the saviors before it eventually finds and enslaves them anyway. I hear all the time about “what if we were following Negan and Rick’s group were like the saviors?” or “Rick’s group also did terrible things” Okay so what have any of them done that is on the same level of evil when Negan enslaves communities of survivors to give them their shit or they’ll be killed, when he gets off on psychologically and physically torturing people, when he coerces a bunch of women to sleep with him for protection, etc. And that’s not even considering INTENT. Rick’s actions might be bad a lot of the time but you can almost always understand his intent or reasoning. Negan however, his intent is purely to enslave people, run his cult, and be looked up to like some God. But if you ask him he’ll say that all he wanted was to “save” people. It’s complete BS lol.

Honestly, Rick can’t expect everyone to forgive so easily. It’s so hard. Every time I think of Glenn, I get mad all over again. I get him trying to build peace cuz it’s needed, but not everyone got a note from Carl Rick. They are not trying to honor many people. Maggie truly needs to reach towards God like her father did cuz only the spirit could heal me. You not about to take my man and I gotta do all this. I couldn’t even be a leader. I gotta heal first 😩. She’s gotta find a way to live without Glenn. It’s hard, but possible. Lord, I felt bad for Arat, but understood Ocean side. Rick you asking for too much. Just because your heart is changing doesn’t mean others will change as quickly.

I understand completely what yall saying but don’t act like Negan and the saviors didn’t do Rick bad to. Taking out Glenn and Abraham, taking him on a trip to break him down then threatened to make him cut his son arm off. Rick was hurting to n he just said this episode every morning he wants to go kill Negan, but Rick trying to change for the greater good and revenge ain’t the answer. That was the whole reason of leaving Negan alive to show they changing

It particularly affected Maggie and Daryl to hear "no exceptions," because those were the words Negan said before he murdered Glenn and laughed while doing it. Arat did it while smiling and killing an 11 year old child.

Maggie inspired Oceanside who then inspired her to finally get on board to go to Alexandria to get Negan funny enough. Maggie eventually came around to Rick’s ways of doing things in this episode but after seeing them do that to Arat, she said aight time to get him. The beauty about this show and especially these episodes yall have watched this season, is there’s a lot of nuance and character conflict. People who said the show should’ve ended in season 8 and thought the Maggie, Paul, Daryl thing was weird, it’s all paying off and creating juicy conflict this season. And it’s all justified. Everyone’s perspective is justified to a degree and it only gets better. I will forever stand on this season being a GOAT Walking Dead season. Also arat saying “no exceptions” is what Negan said when he bashed Glenn’s head in. So you KNOW Maggie was like do what yall gotta do to Arat. Thats why what Arat said was so foul.

During one of their meetings negan mentioned to Simon about how he disregarded everything he told him not to do when he went over to oceanside and killed all of their men after he told him not to do that... I believe negan said that to Simon because he had just found out Simon went to talk to the garbage people and killed all of them after negan told him not to do that... negan didn't approve of people killing kids... he was very over protective of judith and another girl whom im not going to mention this early

That’s a good point…and the homies did condemn they actions pretty hard…but I will say this…Rick and Morgan didn’t know for sure who was really friend or foe when that execution took place…they was just ops to be dealt wit…they were judged by who they rolled wit and not by there sins directly…Arat got knocked for confirmed sins witnessed by that community..things she personally did herself..So I can say that Rick and Morgan’s deceitful kill was done more on the premise of broad doing..Arat’s execution was a visceral itch that had to be scratched

EVERYONE already knew who they were before and they made the call to join them in anyways. If i was to say "no, kill her" that would mean killing ALL who followed negan before. The world they live in is not a normal world and shouldn't be held at normal standards. I think EVERYONE deserves a chance at redemption Especially living in their world

2 Key points on the Arat situation. 1: The deeper reason Maggie had that look in her face and walked away were because of those two specific words....."No Exceptions" ...The Very words Negan said before killing Glen. 2: Notice how with all of the begging, explaining and pleading Arat was doing, that she didn't apologize once.....Everyone there in that scene made the right decision. 1000%

Seriously? You're asking the difference? The obvious, clear and most important difference is that Rick gave his word that he wouldn't do it....Ocean Side did not.....literally that simple. Rick lied. They didn't. Its about the principle, not the action itself. If Morgan had killed those guys, it'd have been fine because he was HONEST and told them exactly what he was going to do. Rick literally told a lie. Morals, integrity, honor and a man's word are all extremely high values in a person's character that goes far beyond actions alone. The same action being done under two different principles yield vastly different outcomes in a person's character. Secondly, and related to the first point, Oceanside is not Rick and didn't make any promises to let them live after killing their families all that time ago. Those situations are completely different, not related at all and not even in the same universe.

I felt bad for Arat at this time but most of negans people including Arat took pleasure in being in control and killing people so I don't blame ocean side for getting revenge... arat and Laura definitely changed for the better
