I had SUCH a crush on Anthony Hopkins after I saw this movie for the first time! His acting is SO INCREDIBLE in this!! I think it's one of the most POWERFUL performances, from any actor, ever!!! Again, the book is better, but the movie DID do the book justice!

This movie isn't scary, but it is definitely more creepy than anything else they've watched BECAUSE it is so realistic. No demons, monsters, or CGI. It's about real people, and I think that's why it's so unsettling.

Oh I guess…but since Criminal Minds was one of my favorite TV shows this wasn’t nothing to some of the stuff they had to deal with. It’s crazy people doing crazy things…but that doesn’t scare me as much since they are flesh and blood and can be put down with a bullet like everyone else.

So Buffalo Bill is loosely based on Ed Gein a real killer who dug up buried women and did horrible things including making a skin suit and yes he was bat shit crazy but part of his motivations where because his mother wanted a girl instead of a boy and hated him for it so he behaved more effeminate and wanted to become a girl to make his mother happy he was not a trans person mad because he couldn't transition and this film doesn't include the aspect of his mother not accepting him and hating him for bieng born a male or really any of bills deeper motivationsfor that matter so it does seem like some pretty prejudice thinking toward trans folks as if the average trans person would resort to something as sick as what bill did if they where denied surgery good on you Addison for calling that out

Jodie Foster is an icon and Sir Anthony Hopkins is a legend. The acting is superb from both. Jodie tapped out after this one and I’ll just say I agree with that decision. This is definitely in my top 5 creepy. For me one thing that is scary/creepy in a movie, are things that are plausible. Freddie and Jason aren’t scary to me but the original Omen? Naaaahhhh. Terrifying! Probably religious upbringing combined with watching that waaaay too young. I learned quickly that my brain can’t handle that 😈

Love that series Charlie was amazing and I loved how it was half about his life and half about his legacy there is part where the guy who made Texas CM as a kid asked if his uncle knew EG and his uncle says "he lived a town over and used a chainsaw to cut up his vics" then as an adult his partner asks how he came up with the idea for TCM he says EG lived down the street from his unc as a kid and used to scare him and I think that is a beautiful subtle demonstration of how trauma effects your memory and how rumors get started because he didn't use a chainsaw and he didnt live down the street from old boys uncle when he was a kid both generations are misrembering the events which is how rumors and urban legends change and spread. Kick ass writing

Another really good and disturbing serial killer movie is Se7en starring Morgan Freeman, Brad Pitt and Kevin Spacey. I would say it’s even more grim than SOTL. It’s about a serial killer who orchestrates his killings around the seven deadly sins. Another oldie but goodie.

I agree 💯 that people like Hannibal need to be removed from this earth. They were saying the system failed him because it left him with abusive people as a child and growing up. That's what made him violent/angry and that kept him from passing the psychological exams needed before getting approved. They weren't saying the system failed him by not giving him the surgery.

This is probably one of the most entertaining reaction from the edn family and a such a classic film I would suggest Mindhunter 2017 two season pretty short but after watching adison update video they seem to have a lot of content plan for us already so probably not anytime soon great reaction as alway 👍.
