I dont think Travis is giving Disney at all. Chris is fifteen maybe sixteen and is in a heavy grief spiral. Travis putting his hands on child, would be doing permanent damage that would be hard to come back from. Im glad he checked his own ego and left. I wish there was more context on how their relationship deteriorated to this because it didnt happen overnight.

The only thing I like about this Series of TWD Universe is that it is not based on the Comic Book Series. It has so much potential to go any direction with a storyline; therefore, it is hard to predict what will happen, because, you can’t refer back to the Comics.

Chris is in his teen years and acting out. Now if my parents were Chris’ parents … I’d be 6 feet under; and if Chris were my child CPS or some of those soldiers would have to come pick him up, because we don’t tolerate foolishness

Im not sure how beating or ending Chris' life would make sense or improve the dynamic. I know society loves to normalize and even brag about violence towards young people though. I doubt whatever Chris is angry about can be solved by Travis getting his lick back.

For TWD yes, later on, but for FTWD no one could refer back to the comics to find out what might happen next, and who the characters might be for the show. It was a blank canvas from the start.

In the context of that particular moment, walking away was doing something. I dont know what Chris previous issues are with his dad, but all he believes at this moment is that his dad shot his mom less than 24 hours ago.

Fully aboard the HATE train! He's the dumbest most irritating tv show kid of all time, up there with the boy from The Strain. Fantastic Guillermo Del Toro show if haven't seen! Was also trilogy of books. Nastiest sorta vampire creatures ever. Unique as a full on pandemic! I keep hoping reactors will watch it ha! Perhaps after new Frankenstein popularity as Del Toro made it as well lol.

In the first season, Travis didn't have much of a relationship with his biological son Chris. I think Chris might have felt abandoned by Travis, because Travis left Chris' mother to be with Madison and her two young adult children Nick and Alicia. When Chris found out his father was the one that pulled the trigger, Chris felt that his father never really ever loved his mother, and it damaged him tremendously. It's early in the apocalypse and some people still don't know how this virus affects people. We will learn more about Chris in future episodes.

The lack of smart kids in this universe has always bothered me. How is Judith the only one?? All these kids who were born in it should have more knowledge about how to survive...I mean they won't even see it as "surviving" it's just their lives!! Never made sense to me.
