During the current time period of the show, INCEST IS BAD. she says HUNDREDS of years ago the targaryens wed brothers and sisters and cousins, those people also had dragons and things changed. They were also the only people doing that and the reasoning was because their bloodline was the only one that could control the dragons so to keep their power and position and control over the dragon and kingdoms they wed within the family and people didn’t think too much of it. They are the exception not the rule. Also Ned is still a lord and knows some things about politics and the way things work, it’s true he operates with an honorable and soldier type mindset, but he is still high born and in my opinion should know better than to mess with these ppl. He’s acting like everyone is playing with the same rule book he is which is obviously not the case.

Yeah I actually agree with this, my main point really is the fact she’s leaving out the context of why the Targaryens did it. Like other noble houses and even common families werent engaging in that, the taragaryens were special because of their dragons and believed they had to keep their bloodline pure to keep their control of the dragons

Sometimes I am not sure if Addison knows 😂 I know he has watched before but the second time around is when you really start catching things. I noticed his face when the others were talking about a few things that he could have cleared up without spoiling it. He was watching the show like it was his first time understanding what was really happening in the scene.
