The Predator is a great alien species. Immediately after the movie came out, the debate of Alien vs Predator started! The movie was made in 1986 - I think I saw it in 1987. So the criticisms of production are valid compared to today's CGI, but don't let it take you out of the movie. I watch a lot of classic Hollywood films from the 1930s to the 1960s, and I still enjoy them. This was peak Arnold!

Funny facts about this movie: the entire cast were sneaking off to work out in secret because they were saying they were gaslighting each other into saying they don't need to work out to be as big as they are. Also, unfortunately a very bad stomach bug tore threw the entire production crew and cast, so there was always one day where someone was like trapped in the bathroom.

⚜️ Adison - When you do the YouTube edit, when Beauty says that Arnold's arm is blown off, you should zoom in to the scene where the Predator's plasma cannon hit Arnold's assault rifle and broke it in half (which is why he threw it down, because it was now useless) and when she talks about the huge gash on his shoulder, it's shrapnel from the destroyed assault rifle. He was slightly injured, but his arm was never blown off or majorly damaged. 💜💛💚

I can't tell if you picked up that the Predator is hunting for sport, and he enjoys the thrill of the hunt. That's why he didn't go after the woman. Dutch/Arnold kicks the gun away from her because he realizes the predator is going to let her go since she was unarmed. The predator collects skulls as trophies.

Wow! I did hear Van Damme was fired (uncredited) but I thought it was for the 2nd “Predator,” because Kevin Peter Hall was sick. Wow! Kevin Peter Hall was so dedicated! He played in “Predator” 1 and 2. I always thought Van Damme replaced him. Thanks for clearing that up!

They should watch Alien vs Predator also... And eventually Prey I think they'll dig Prey, and honestly it's a belated prequel when you compare the timeline of every Predator movie except for technically, but still not even really is AVP. I'm crossing my fingers they'll be on the list of movies done on a movie night.

Yall didn’t catch the Jim Hopper and Hawkins (1st one to die) reference in the earlier parts of the movie. Apparently the creators of Stranger Things ( Duffer Bros) were big fans of Predator and used some of the characters to create their show! Fun fact 😅
