What do y'all think about the fact that this Harbard took away Ivar's pain? Remember that Aslaug told Ragnar Ivar is always in pain and she cannot soothe him. He'll even cry throughout the night, yet Harbard comes in and lays hands on him and he sleeps peacefully.

The language thing is confusing. Both what people in Wessex and the Vikings would have spoken back then would be unrecognizable to us now - it's old Norse and a really, really old English. So modern English is for the viewer. But then, they sometimes start with one of the older languages to help the viewer remember they have translation issues with each other - but then they continue on in modern English.
