Been waiting on this one here😭

Athasin

Finally! I caught the stream but actually missed the Red Wedding part so glad I can finally see the reaction.

Ky

I can’t wait to see how they feel On this episode cause I surely remember Adison’s reaction. Reaction meter activate.

Anna

Yes!!!

Kim Cottingham

Oh my. Dying for something watch. Will be interesting.

Kim Cottingham

Adisson dont forget passion of the christ. For Christians boys this definitely one to see. You told me a year you would try, so just gently reminding you❤️❤️😁

55:20 Breaking the guest right is a far more serious offense than ending a marriage pact. It is an ancient and sacred custom in Westeros, dating back thousands of years to the time of the First Men. Since Walder provided them with salt and bread, it made the agreement official, and he was expected to guarantee their safety. When invoked, neither the guest nor the host can harm the other during the guest's stay. Doing so would break a sacred covenant believed to invoke the wrath of both old and new gods. With that context, Robb's offense would be regarded as trivial in comparison in Westeros.

Moondragon1821

Good thing I was just about to have dinner because I need a good ass plate to go along with this reaction. Happy Taco Tuesday! Sending my regards!

Athasin

Also I said it in live chat and I'll say it again, props to James for acknowledging that Walder Frey had a GLORIOUS get back. You can respect how a play was executed even if you hate that your team lost. And while the baby killing was wild, the alternative was what? Wait for it to be born so you can kill her and it? Wait for it to be a child so you can kill it? Keep it as a hostage and risk it grow up to be an adult who wants to slaughter you and your family because what you did to theirs? We LITERALLY have Theon's existence as proof that that's straight FOOLISHNESS. No matter how good you are to a hostage that you raised, they STILL can feel some type of way about it. And you would have effectively forged the weapon of your own destruction by letting that baby be born and live.

Serenity La’sandra

Adison’s lil maniacal smirk when the music started playing knowing what’s coming 🤣

Athasin

Also, for Ned's death to be worse, Arya would've had to been killed in front of him and then he would've had his head cut off with the knowledge that Sansa was still alive with the enemy. Because Robb saw his future slaughtered and died not knowing what would happen to his mother afterward (fortunately she got a quick death).

FeNyX

Ooohhhh...I have been waiting for this one!!! Love all of your perspectives and reactions!!! Keep em coming!

Mil

I think for some of the reactors here it’s a give and take sort of relationship so they see justification for most that happened at the red wedding. But you know, Theres a reason why “no cruel and unusual punishment” even exists in real life. It’s because disproportionate consequences can, but shouldn’t happen (in fiction or real life). What happened at the red wedding was wildly disproportionate to the actions of Rob. Walter Frey and his side commited a barbaric and evil act. I think the reactors justify it behind “get back”. But Walder Frey gave an underserving response to Rob’s actions. Yes it worked and it ended the war, but standing behind him and saying it’s okay…..idk about that one lol. In this episode the good guys lost, but the north remembers. Great reaction as always. More interesting than anything

Brew city Bob

I’m with James on this. Robb swore an oath he was a fool for attending a wedding during wartimes. Attended said wedding with the replacement and while pregnant. Disrespectful as heck but to off them at a wedding is still wrong and the Starks ate the salt & bread.

Dylan Neal

How have you never seen Forrest Gump?

Christopher Drummond

~1:31:40 got me questioning James because why would he refer to Bran as that 🤔

Athasin

Also, Walder didn't say his daughter deserves a wedding gift, he was more devilish than that, he said, "My King has married and I owe my NEW QUEEN a wedding gift" ... and then he had his son SHANK the Queen right on her baby bump.

Moondragon1821

If you look closely enough, Twin BEEN!!!! setting this shit up. ALL season, that's why he's been constantly writing letters and meeting with the counsel. Likely more when he's at Harrenhal than in King's Landing ( can't remember the exact timelines atm ) but this wasnt "Oh look at him getting here with his pregnant girl he broke his vow for ) No, Walder likely planned to betray him the moment he heard about Rob going back on his word.

Athasin

Also, props to Lady Catelyn Stark for finally fulfilling an oath. She swore to the gods that she'd make Ned change Jon's name to Stark and love him like a son, broke that. She swore to the gods that Robb would marry one of Frey's daughters, not her fault but that was broken too. But with her last action in the world she made sure that she didn't die a three times oathbreaker.

AllyBoo124

I’m sitting here crying laughing because you can literally see where in the video Adison starts to dissociate before the red wedding happens😭 IM CANT, poor baby😭

Candice Batton

Adison- I honestly believe we doing this rewatch with ppl working with the Opp! That’s the only way I can explain that Get Got list and their lackluster reaction to one of the worst massacres on tv!! A girl has questions 🤷🏾‍♀️

Moondragon1821

Another thing about Walder's betrayal. The whole meat and salt thing they did in the beginning....There's a whole big tradition about that being the way you greet guests and tell them they have protection within your walls. Only to slaughter them. Walder was breaking a great big oath himself with that.

AllyBoo124

“Oof my stomach hurt” IM SCREAMJNG ADISON PLEASE

Courtney Jayd

Can someone put Forrest Gump on the list please? Lol

Courtney Jayd

Bless Von’s heart! Lol great reaction yall

Diary of a Dragon

Osafa always so hopeful when there is no hope. When Ned was getting beheaded, he thought someone was coming to avenge him, save him, anything but have a senseless death. Same here for Robb's passing. Sweet ol' summer child Osafa.

Jonathan Blaze

James, Osafa and Von are no longer sweet summer children. They are now one of us. The men and women of winter.

KING Guyton

Robb bringing his wife to the wedding was just STUPID 😂 he basically told Walder Frey F U to his face. Also catelyn freeing Jaime played a major part in this happening imo. Tywin lannister orchestrated this whole thing (hence why roose bolton said "the Lannisters sends their regards") Highly doubt the red wedding would happen if the Starks still had Jaime

Kayla Jean

i was at work waiting all day for this 😭😩

Pritika

I don't think James was ever a sweet summer child 😂

KayleeSabrina

Never seen a reaction quite like this to this episode. That being said their faces were very shocked so.. I think its internalised pain 😅

Tamyia Miller

Are we still watching supernatural

Log

This group of reactors is really confusing. When I first watched this show, I was team Rob through and through and this was heartbreaking to watch. These guys are soooo hung up on the wedding pact and never really seemed like they were team Rob at all which is really confusing.

Jesse

Walder Frey doesn't care about oaths unless its to his own benefit. When Catelyn Stark met with him in season 1 he made it very clear he didn't care about oaths that he himself made to the king or to the Tully family. Also, Walder Frey broke a much worse oath when he killed Rob and the rest, he broke the oath of Guest Rights. He promised that no harm would come to the Starks while under their house and then brutally murdered them all. The biggest mistake that Rob made was trusting Walder Frey at all. There had been countless instances of people saying that Walder Frey is incredibly untrustworthy. Of course Rob made other mistakes leading to his final demise over the course of the war as well.

Log

Hold up that is interesting

Tameka H.

Rob, Sansa and Jon are CHILDREN. 16, 14, 16 in the show. They are not going to rationalize like adults when making certain decision. Well not until they are older in the game. Rob just got caught out there to soon.

Layla

What happened

Fallon

In the words on Kevin Hart, "It's about to go down."

HarambeTheMVP

Love that this is the episode too, where before the wedding.. our girl arya stood up to The Hound and got a monster like the Hound, to refrain from killing!! She really is progressing with her character development and just overall continued badass-ness

HarambeTheMVP

"yeah but Hodor isn't strong enough to climb the wall with me on his back." "Hodor" @21:47 😂😂😂

Gail Ferguson

I know I was side-eying pretty hard!

Fallon

Now we know we need to add Forest Gump to the must watch Movie List

Rachel Trainor

The actor who played Rob is 27 here. So most don’t judge him while considering a lack of maturity while watching the show

Mya Marie

This was goood take a breakkk make it good and I’ll see you guys next season !! Heheee

Austin Hogan

I don’t know about his genes, not being there Look up pictures of what a young walder Frey David Bradley the actor was a gymnast I didn’t know it until a month or two ago dude in the 1970s looked like a ripped Jim Morrison people don’t understand the older people get even men the reproductive system isn’t perfect Mick Jagger is still pumping out kids The chances for deformities even mental and health defects, greatly increase after the age of 40

Mike Joseph

Adison trying so hard to not show his excitement for the reaction to what's coming 😂

JM

Welcome to the other side y'all boys! I remember Ad and Brandon's reaction vividly 😂 I don't necessarily agree with him all the time but I admire how James forms his thoughts and is able to defend them. I think once more is revealed, especially with Jon, some of his takes will change. Hurt/kill Robb for breaking an oath? Sure, but his whole family though? The North Remembers!

OfficiallyRenea

My understanding is that they didnt have to stab her in the stomach multiple times ,they couldve sliced her neck like majority of the other people that died it was simply overkill 🤷🏽‍♀️

Targary

how predictable it is hearing them wanting a man on the throne like that has done any good lolo…..also lord forbid a woman being cocky!

Sam

I actually really like the fact that James was unbothered and in favor of everything. And Osafa and Von were kind of split in the middle about it while we know Adison almost quit watching the first time he saw this. All the different perspectives make it fun and interesting. Great job guys! Can’t wait for the next one!

Rachel Trainor

I just googled “David Bradley gymnast”. No way that’s the same guy!!!

AllyBoo124

James is scaring Adison fr😭 He looks like “who is this man that I’ve been calling my friend for years?”

Rachel Trainor

“Walder Frey is my favorite character” is a sentence that has only been spoken once 🤣

La Toya Sheri

Dang wow. That was rough. I had a feeling it would come to this but still seeing it play out how it did. Speechless. RIP.

AJtheBAE

🗣️ Sing Von!!

Perfection Akinwande

Adison was sickkkkkkkkkk 😭 Osafa stay hoping for someone to rescue them last minute bless him James is right Ned’s honor got him killed Robbs lack of it got him killed but Frey is the most dishonourable he promised them safety and slaughtered them in his home buttttt it was known the type of man Frey was he doesn’t care abt oaths unless they to his benefits but anyway winter is coming yk how we feel about get back in this house to this day can’t believe we lost another stark 😭

AJtheBAE

Please tell James it’s not called “Easteros”. It’s Essos 😂😂😂

JSaustin95

No worries James you did nothing wrong lol

Mat Said Welcome

Two different David Bradleys. The actor/gymnast is American from Texas. Our fam playing Walder Frey is from England. If you look at their noses, you can see they are distinctly two different people.

Sunday Ayaa

Ouuuu I’ve been waiting for this reaction 😭

Cess

Idk if it’s been mentioned yet the parallel between Robb and Jon. For Jon he left Ygritte for Honor and Duty. While Robb broke his oath and married Telissa for Love.

Jen Bee

Not the same actor actually. I was curious and looked it up. There are 3 different actors on IMDB with that same name. This one from GoT and Harry Potter was born in the 40s, started acting in the 70s and always had this same face. Another is British too, born in the 50s but mostly acted as a kid. And then the last is an American actor born in the 50s too but definitely ripped and did martial arts movies in the 80s and 90s. I think he’s the one you’re confusing for the Walder Frey actor.

Austin Hogan

It’s the same dude same features on the face and everything

Avishai

My thing about Rob is that his "mistakes" are never truly his. every "mistake" he made was really because someone else he trusted made a decision for him and without his consent. He never woulve agreed to that marriage if he had a chance to decide for himself. Quite frankly put, Rob died because the people around him made dumb decisions and they thought they were all smarter than him. And i guess because he wasnt a robot who just did what they told him. And i could draw parallels to another character in the show who takes his position later on and how what went wrong there was the exact same thing. And i know everyone would agree that non of that was his fault, it was people around him trying to force his hand. But thats because he wasnt in love through that stuff. People have such a bias towards men embracing love quickly or at a young age.

Avishai

All things considered, Rob's death was horrible. But Ned's death is why we have this show lmaooo. Like come on yall

Christopher Drummond

I want to agree however; those decisions are also the reason he was successful early on. He still had the option to not go through with the marriage but he wouldn't have had access to the bridge to access the Riverlands. His biggest mistakes which ultimately led to his downfall were all his fault. Sending Theon home to negotiate was the first mistake which led to Winterfell being invaded by the Ironborn. Executing Rickard Karstark caused him to lose troops and ultimately have to depend on Walder Frey for more men. The biggest mistake was breaking the marriage pact with Walder Frey which is what killed him and a lot of his family in the end.

Avishai

My only counter to that is that i think if we follow the thread to almost every mistake he made (which i do believe he owns most of, as a man) there's someone else at the beginning doing something that Rob wouldnt have done. And that early success he had is also thrown into question because it really seems like the North was ready to rally behind a Stark just off the strength of Ned. They just needed convincing that Rob couldve likely done on his own decisions.

Vic

LMAO WHAT IS GOOD WITH JAMES MAN…. He need to talk to somebody about that merciless spirit in him

Luffers

I think Addison would love Forest Gump, do it!

Beron Banton II

Yo Adison, I highly recommend you check out the audio books while driving or doing cardio If you dont have time to read the books. There's so much interesting world building and context the shows dont show.

Danielle Wade

This episode NEVER gets easier to watch ugghhh

Saint Jamien

I’ve literally been holding on to my subscription just for this episode. The grief is finna be just, chefs kiss.

AnnieEast

I’m worried the next big episode is going to get the same reaction. At least we know Addison will not disappoint us.

Chrissy S

Adi went from “I understand James better now” to “Aw naw, you’re picking WALDER FREY as your favorite character?!?” 😩😩😩🤣🤣🤣🤣

Saint Jamien

Sheesh! Y’all are savage. If Walder had an issue frfr, he shouldn’t have accepted new terms to the agreement. That’s loose. He agreed to a whole new marriage, invited them into his crib, Walder gave his word too! I cannot.

Saint Jamien

Now I have to keep my subscription because the despair didn’t despair the way I needed it to despair.

jessica diora

James might be a sociopath idk 😂

jessica diora

Nah fr I’ve never seen anyone react to this the way yall have 😂😂 y'all some savages fr

Gabi

Out of three seasons, this lad decided to choose Walder Frey as his favourite character 🤣🤣I'm dead🫠

Pantstealer

James smiling through the whole slaughter was mad disturbing no lie

Kütttt

Bruh yall straight savages, I aint never seen a reaction to this like that, god damn ice cold mfs

Kütttt

James a straight psycho man, that boy got bodies fr fr

Kütttt

Nah lock up James fr, the more I listen the more crazy it gets

Tyler Renshaw

James logic = lie to me and I’m justified to kill yo whole family

Mishka Viscardi

Adi, can you explain to the guys (if you’re aware about it) that Jon was always loyal to the nights watch…it’s not a secret. He and qorin half hand HAD to fight so that Jon could kill him and the wildlings would trust him!! He just also fell in love with ygrite. She’s literally talked to him about knowing he’s still loyal.

Darrick McDowell

Saying WALDER FREY is your favorite character is the worst statement I’ve ever heard someone say. I can’t believe he’s telling the truth. There’s actually no way.

Jonathan Blaze

"Arya gon come through with The Hound and save the day"!, Osafa. / "Oh my sweet summer child". Me.

Jonathan Blaze

Or if they were Team Robb, they turned on him with the quickness.

Mat Said Welcome

Not too much on James. He seems to be a natural at foreshadowing and I can't do anything but respect it. I love that Osafa was holding out hope for a down to the wire rescue. Von's full body reaction was my personal favorite tho cause it was very similar to my own when I watched this episode. Adison, Im glad you decided to rewatch with this crew.

Chantal

Love how Von said “there’s something about that song”

Tianah Morales

This comment made me bust out in uncontrollable laughter 🤣

Tianah Morales

When James said Walter Frey was his favorite character.. Adison did the craziest double-take and looked at him like he was wild.. and I’m on the floor 🤣🤣😭

Koko_Rootz

Im here for it baby ep 9 lessko

Koko_Rootz

Your theory is reaching Addison. What it comes down to is no oath is stronger than the protection of breaking bread. There is an unspoken rule that says there is no war when breaking bread and that was broken.

Zaki Payne

Keep in mind, you guys, that they aged the characters up for the show due to the very adult themes. In the books, though, Robb is still a kid. He started this war at the age of 14 and is about 17 when this happens. Although he was a formidable opponent in battle, you have to admit that at 17, you're not going to be the best at making political decisions. We book readers actually blame Catelyn more than Robb, because she could've and should've made sure that her teenage son kept his oath. Especially since in the books, she's the adult in the situation and is more versed in the political aspect of war than her son, who is only just fighting in his first war as a teenager. Also note that in the books, Robb doesn't marry for love and instead marries her out of shame for having sex with her before marriage. Lastly, in the book, his wife, who is Jeyne in the book, doesn't die because he doesn't bring her to the wedding.

2026-09-07 16:00 Does James understand that Jon never betrayed his oath to the Nightswatch and he's infiltrating the wildlings based on his loyalty to them? As a plan with Halfhand to find out what their plans are? For quite a few episodes, this seems to be lost on him as he keeps saying Jon has no loyalty. His loyalty to them is also a big part as why he left Ygritte behind.

KassyL

I think some of us may need a heads up when spoilers for other shows are about to be given. I had to mute quite a few parts of the discussion to avoid them

tatufmetuf

The look on Jorah's face when they come back to Daeneris, he's like "Am I not good enough for you" :D

Marc Cephas

James doesn’t understand house rights in this universe, offering food and salt is a vow to protection under his and breaking that is very sacred

CincoDeManny

Was waiting for this episode since episode 1 haha Von's reaction had me dying

Jess Here

Jon knew the entire time he wasn't staying. He pushed Ygritte because if she killed one of the free folk protecting him, they would have killed her.

Ha'ane Rose 🦋

Not Osafa singing the In The Box goodbye song for Robb 😭😂

everydaynegroes

I've been hearing about it so much lately. Maybe it's about time! -Adison

meer.omerta

he put a knife through his brother eye and out his head he got the idea from arya

Mike

Adison is gonna swap seats with James so he doesn't have the back of his neck exposed to a killer

jessica cantrell

😊Props to Addison’s reaction on ” Bran the broken” 😳

meer.omerta

i mean the tullys are a good marriage its they freys lieg lord and one of the strongest houses in Westeros and the family of the king in the north its the closet to the starks he coulda got without getting rob

Rindamarie

James response to the Red Wedding - dang I wouldn't cross him. "James Frey" is wild! LOL

Coco Walker

The way James and Von keeep saying Darrio as a character looks funny has me feeling vindicated 😂😂😂. I always thought they had missed a casting opportunity with the actor that plays him, he could've easily been a Targaryen or Lannister, it would've suited him better imo.

Coco Walker

I'm actually on a watch binge with my youngest two siblings and an interesting take from my 19 year old sister is that beyond Robb making terrible decisions that lead to TRW, Catlyn being continuously cursed/punished by her failure to keep her own word when it came to Jon Snow is basically the crescendo of that sad tune. From my sister's pov, basically Catlyn is Mister and Jon is Ceily and because she never did right by him, her own children were doomed to suffer as her own punishment for being spiteful to an innocent child for her husband's shortcomings. And it blew my mind because beyond getting mad when she's on screen being "motherly" and giving 'wisdom', I'm usually too through with her deep love and reverence for Ned, but intense spite for Jon to pay attention to the subtle set up for which really starts the moment Bran gets pushed from the tower. But once you see it, you can't deny it. There's more that proves the theory but it's bookmarked as a tbd once further in the show.

Coco Walker

Von talking about he would be abstinent during war times gives me the cackles because he clearly doesn't understand that war during times where horse, boat,or feet were the only modes of transportation getting the word out and gathering of factions alone could take from several months up to a year... That's before counting and strategic plans even come into play. And war also was based on seasons. The whole reason they HAD to go back past the Freys' place was to at least make it far enough north, if not home before the winter weather set in to let the troops rest, regroup, and recoup with minimal fear of retaliation... Not saying Von's not strong enough to do it, but until modern machines made getting anyplace in the world dang near instant there was a reason why many a woman could make her living by just following a band of troops marching off to war😂😂😂🤷🏿‍♀️...

Coco Walker

Once Cat and Robb died, there should've been wiggle room for Jon to renege on his Nightswatch vows, even in James' book... I mean for him to stay at the wall and stay out of it completely would be a last lil middle finger to Cat, but Arya,Sansa,Bran, and Rickon surviving long enough to fully revive House Stark literally becomes impossible if he does. At this point in the plot,Jon is the eldest living acknowledged male confirmed to be of the Stark bloodline (remember only us and certain characters even know Bran and Rickon are still alive).Whatever power moves, rank, or alliances he can facilitate to maintain House Stark and keep the family tree standing is the mission ... I don't know that James understands that the oaths and vows of the Nobility in this universe really all crumble in the face of familial advancement.Meaning that yes when Robb was alive and Rickon and Bran weren't presumably 86'd leaving Himself or either of the girls as the possible essential keys to the North, Jon's vow to the Nightswatch as a half highborn outside child who had very limited prospects or places he could go where being born out of wedlock wasn't an immediate black mark was most important. But given his change in circumstances, his first duty technically is to at the very least make sure one or both of his sisters marries well, all threats to said sisters is eliminated or quelled, Winterfell is restored, and it's succession is once again clear and certain... Literally Robb dying and the boys being presumably dead turned Jon from a barely notable outside child, to the last living male heir to a House whose name he literally legally cannot claim...James can chill and give him some grace😂

Coco Walker

Which is also probably part of the reason Waulder was "wipe em out" mad when Robb went back on his word and pulled up to what was supposed to be his own wedding with his nonconsequential new wife to boot. Think about it... Relation to leige Lord's house or not, Stark is synonym for traitor when they first go basically begging to cross Frey lands to attempt to save Ned.And at the point where they're basically fleeing back North for the winter and come back through Frey lands Robb was "King of the North" only in his imagination at that point. He had gone back on his word, his position strategy wise was weak, and he only had a fraction of the men he'd started out with, less allies because he couldn't even keep his word and marry whom he said he would and then the consolation prize in tow isn't even a relative of the same branch nor house as himself ( a betrothal to one of his brothers and one of the younger Frey daughters/granddaughters probably would've been the very next best thing) but a maternal Uncle and another request for more aid on top of all that... Yeah, nah acting like Waulder didn't have a legit reason to be pissed is crazy. And with his lands being geographically located where they are, he heard about most of Robb's failure/ intent to break his word long before Robb even showed up to "apologize" and "make things right" in person...Yes Edmure is Robb's Uncle, but it's maternal not paternal which means yes they're closely related but as far as how houses and lineage go, not the same nor good enough and to drive my point home notice how they had to beg and bargain with Waulder to pass through his lands even though Cat is a daughter of his leige Lord's house? If House Tully was good/powerful enough, then the marriage pact to secure passage the first time never would've had to happen it would have been as simple as Cat's father, brother, or Uncle telling their banner house ( the Freys)to make way.

Coco Walker

See playing the "which broken oath is worse" game is similar to the which sin is greater debate people have imo... A broken oath is a broken oath. Waulder hasn't broken any oaths we've seen on screen this far EXCEPT 2 and one of those oaths we didn't even see him make, it's just assumed because he still has his seat:He went back on his oath to the crown/Lannisters when he made the marriage pact with Cat in Robb's name which was treason because "Stark" meant traitor at the time,if we're all being blunt... And then after months of him receiving second hand details of his intended son/grandson in law losing everything that made siding with a traitor appealing to him to begin with including his status as an eligible bachelor, The Guest's rights vow. What we don't get to see but have to assume before the Red Wedding is whatever fallout/ultimatums given from the crown because Waulder had let Starks pass through his lands to begin with...Was it really breaking an oath, or was Frey's hand forced and with the fact that Robb had broken his promise to him first and had nothing to offer he just didn't feel that sad about it? And if we're talking about breaking of oaths, imo the one that probably had more "roosters coming home to roost" meaning of all would be Catlyn and her failure to keep her oath to the seven when it came to Jon and not just that, but her continued hypocrisy to cross lines into derangement and forgo what she herself knows is the right way to go about things in the name of lashing out over her children. She lashed out at Jon making sure he left after Bran fell, she jumped the gun and took Tyrion as prisoner( and lost him), She freed Jaime and caused discourse in Robb's army,(and still didn't get the girls back)and in her want to be reconciled enough for him to hear any more advice, allowed Robb to make the stupidest mistake of not simply keeping his word, when that's literally all he had besides a couple of quickly won battles under his belt. This episode really highlights biases the audience has because from where I'm sitting, Waulder still isn't the biggest nor worse of oath breakers we've seen and with the reputation he has before we even get to this episode, that's saying a lot.

Samuel Daley

I’m with James 💯. The title of the series is litrally game of thrones. He could have easily kept that girl as a side and still go on with his oath, especially given the circumstances of war!! Rob didn’t just need the bridge at this point, he needed his army!! Walder Frey is was within his right to react to that disrespect.

MabelandMargaret

That's dishonorable. Robb was an honorable man. He married for love, not convenience and regradless of any wrongdoing, Westerosi look down on giving someone guest rites then being betrayed. They talk about it a lot throughout the series. That's considered among the worst kinds of treason. To say you're on the side of righteousness, like James did, means you would be in direct opposition of how this is handled.

antvwn

Rob caused all of this i don’t care and i don’t feel bad for him

antvwn

it might sound bad but people need to realize that you can’t control someone’s reaction after playing in their face. rob grew up privileged and thought frey had to accept his bs lmaoo gtfo my face

Tanisha

When you watch earlier episodes it was the plan all along to slaughter them. Back when Jaime was with Bolton they talked about it. Bolton married a Frey. Whether Rob brought his wife or not it would have gone down the same way. Frey offered them hospitality and breaking that is a huge taboo for them. That’s part of why it is so bad.

TORI

No he doesn’t. I’m so triggered.

Les Rodriguez

Someone needs to inform James that Frey doomed his house for generations by doing this because of guest right.

ERNESTO SANCHEZ

That post game was hilarious, I loved the thinking. I agree with the overall sentiment.

Jenny Mulinaro

Did James just call Bran, Bran the BROKEN??

Cleo Griffith

I'm playing catch up again. Yeah Rob was stupid for taking his pregnant wife to the Fray's house. Especially after his Mother promised his hand in marriage to one of Fray's daughters. Him bringing his wife was a slap in Fray's face so I don't really blame him for what he did, I did feel sorry for the wolf though.

Korina Protsyuk

Yup that’s exactly what I was thinking, because don’t know everything Jaime and Bolton talked about…

OnDaHokage

It would have been nice if Brandon sat in for this one episode.

OnDaHokage

This episode made Robb look like a pup and not the fully grown Wolf everyone thought he was... I would have never trusted Fray, especially after he disrespected his wife in his face, and I definitely would have left my wife at home. Robb was my favorite character at this point and this almost made me want to stop watching aswell.

OnDaHokage

The whole reason for Robb going to Frey was not to rest, regroup or recoup... it was to fix the oath he had broken and gain their alliance. He needed Frey's army... and if you're talking about the first time. It was to cross the bridge...

Robb is my favorite character but to say he's honorable when he had broken his oath. That's just delusional or biases talking... He was honorable up until that point. Someone honorable wouldn't have taken that oath if they weren't okay with it. Ned was honorable, he broke his code to try to save people. Robb broke his code to benefit himself, that's selfishness.

What was the whole reason he needed to parlay with Frey in the first place??? Because going where he was going they HAD to cut through Frey land... If they HAD to go through there to get closer to King's Landing... Logic tells us(me at least) that he HAD to go back through there on his run back North to put distance between himself and the Lannisters and their allies... I mean otherwise what was the betrothal for in the first place if it wasn't out of pure necessity to negotiate with a man they all claim was untrustworthy to begin with??? I mean I'm just saying if there had been another route to take either time, I'm sure that's the route Robb would've taken...
