Beyond the big comedies everybody knows (Cable Guy, The Mask, Ace Ventura, Liar Liar), here are a few Jim Carrey movie/show suggestions: - The Majestic: Lesser known drama-and-romance movie from 2001. Kind of also a love letter to old movie theaters & cinema - Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind (the original from 2004): Science fiction, romance, drama. A bit Twilight Zone-like, too - Man on the Moon from 1999: A biographical film of the comedian Andy Kaufman but Jim Carrey plays him. Really different kind of movie - Kidding (Showtime series): Carrey stars as a Mr. Rogers-like character in children's TV but he's actually going through tragic life events & starting to down-spiral. Not a very well-known series but highly rated

Although Jim Carey in the TV show "In Living Color" was Hilarious, I wasn't a big fan of some of his movies. "The Cable Guy" is a great movie though! I also liked "Dumb and Dumber," all the "Ace Ventura" movies, and all "The Mask" movies! I have to be in a certain kind of mood to watch a Jim Carey movie, but those are my favorites by him. "The Cable Guy" is my pick if you ever watch it.

Y’all brought up the most interesting concept of this movie that I didn’t even think about the Director poses himself up as a God, Truman, walking on water at the end and ascending the clouds to a doorway representing the son of the director not exactly walking on water, but looking like it I love that even symbolic representations of Jesus through interpretation

Me myself and Irene is a really good Jim Carrey movie. Number 23 is a good one as well, it’s a suspense/thriller movie. Fun with Dick and Jane is a good one too. One of my favorites, though is Yes Man. So I definitely recommend all, but I’m dying for you guys to react to Yes Man.

OT fyi, in 1964 there was a UK tv show called 7up where they filmed around 16 7 year olds from various classes. It has been followed up every 7 years with some people falling in and out over the years for a variety reasons. This year 70up is set to come out. Some interesting things to me are the biases in the questions of the children and narration and how they became confronted over time.

Seems like everyone is listing some of his best work. Think I'll go against the grain and say check out I think his first movie Once Bitten and check out The Number 23. The Number 23 is more of a thriller. Most aren't used to seeing Jim perform in that capacity.
