Taika Waititi Is definitely a different dude, if you just don't recognise his name he was korg in Thor Ragnarok not to mention endgame, He was also playing the part of Hitler in this film, this is a clever film

Some people think Captain K (the nazi with the cape) was only good in his final moment when something clicks: He sees a child about to die… and chooses, for once, to be good - only a final act of humanity. Like: “I didnt fix the world, but I can save one boy.” But there were hints that he wasn’t fully “in it” earlier. He covered for Elsa and showed deep respect for Jojo’s mother. I think he saw bravery in his mom that he couldn’t muster in himself until her memory inspired him in the very end.

I love this movie. It starts as a story about deprogramming hate. But it evolves into something deeper: Connection is a two-way bridge - even when one person built the walls. Jojo learns: Elsa’s not a monster - she’s a person. Elsa learns: everyone on “the other side isnt beyond reaching - even a child raised in hate can change.

I’m glad you guys like this movie. It is different, but I think as well acted, good storytelling, and good directing. Taika Waititi is the director for this movie and he also played the role of Hitler as well. He has kind of a quirky style for his movies, but that’s what makes them good. He was also in Free Guy and another funny movie called What we do in the Shadows. You guys should check those out as well.

Ok after coming back to it. The beginning was rough lol but after seeing the entire film, it was a good film. I like that they told the history from childrens' perspective and brilliantly included some comedic moments. 👏🏾

Wayyy more than that dude, he was never really on their side. Right from the beginning he admits there's no hope of the Germans winning, during all the camp scenes, especially the book burning, he had an expression and manner that clearly said he didn't approve. Also his possible relationship with Finkel. The way he talks about Jews to Jojo throughout the whole film suggests he doesn't really believe any of the propaganda about them too.

LOVE that y'all watched this. Such a good film. Highly recommend that you guys also watch some Wes Anderson movies - have a similar vibe. Especially The Grand Budapest Hotel - it's a must watch. The Royal Tenenbaums is a really famous Wes Anderson movie, too. Also: The Darjeeling Limited, Fantastic Mr. Fox, Moonrise Kingdom, Rushmore - so many good ones
