I'm still not sure about the pronunciation of the name of the film but I'm beyond excited to check this one out! This will be a first time watch for me and I can't wait to check out the other films in this franchise.

Also S/O to my guest/ cohost for joining me on this one. Let's get it!

Idk what was wrong w the other upload cuz i watched first 10 mins but glad its up again 🫡 Donnie Yen actually learned Wing Chun from Ip Chun, Ip Man eldest son which we see in this movie as a little boy 🫰

decarlton huston

Bruce Lee study under IP man and it has true event that happened

Avishai

IP man is real. he did train Bruce Lee. the events of the movie are based on real life. it's not all 100% real. He COULDVE fought ten blackbelts but we have no proof of that. however, he did have a ton of fights and was believed to be great so its possible I guess.

Beast

I love Ip Man so much. Best fighting movies

Beast

Subtitles are a bit delayed but its still watchable

My Fyoochur

I am so happy for you to finally see this. I am looking forward to this reaction.

Bran Bran

If I'm not mistaken, Ip man was Bruce Lee's mentor and teacher.

Shanae Knox

I got introduced to Ip man yrs ago thru my ex kinda made me come here and see y'all's reaction this is gonna be a good movie night keep the reactions coming guys!! 💪🏾🫶🏾🥰🤼🏾‍♀️

Beast

Ip Man trained Bruce Lee, not the other way around lol Wing Chun was around way before Ip Man too

Brandon

Btw Bruce Lee didnt make wing chung... Bruce was one of Ip mans students. In the movie they said wing chung was made by a woman... its a self defense martial art that wasnt know for fighting thats why they laughed at him for using wing chung. Its like crazy bc hes the best amd he used a unorthodox way of fighting. Idk just layers to this film. It gets better and better

Zion

Ready for Ip man 2

“Jeet Kune Do” is Bruce Lee’s Martial Arts style. Ip Man was Bruce Lee’s Mentor. I think the real Ip Man was actually referred to as Jip Man. Bruce Lee said in many interviews that he would have never been able to defeat Jip Man. This man was one of them ones! ~RIP~ to both Legends 🥋 🕊️

I had to look it up … it was Yip not Jip. It was another way of pronouncing Ip. I love Asian culture ❤️ So fascinating! Ip Kai-man is his name. Ip came from a wealthy family in Foshan. Did you know Bruce Lee’s mother has a mixture of European Heritage (Chinese, English, Dutch, Jewish)? It was said that Bruce’s mother family was very rich and disbanded her for marrying a poor man. Bruce was also the only member of his family born in the United States (San Francisco, California) “Bruce Lee” was not his name at birth either he had many Chinese names). Li (Lee) Jun-Fan might have been his original name at birth. Bruce’s father did not want him to pursue acting even though his father had a background the arts 🎭 singing and acting. I’m learning so much about these Masters of the Arts.

I think brother Adison pronounce IP Man right and if edn have free time there a HK mini series call Fist of Fury 1995 staring Donnie Yen in his prime playing as one of IP Man student his fighting style and mannerisms is all paying homage to Buce Lee man probably one of Donnie Yen best performance to date in my opinion I think you can find it on YouTube seeing how much edn love martial art movie I promise it’ll be a lot of fun reacting to it.
