This movie series was a lot of fun! Glad I waited until I started doing reactions so that I could check it out with y'all.

Also S/O to my cohosts Osafa & Neo for going on this Ip Man martial starts journey with me. Hope y'all enjoy the uncut reaction now it's time for me to see what other fighting films I should check out.

A fighting movie I’d recommend is Southpaw 🔥, also Rocky & Creed franchise if haven’t seen them

Mieka

The Undisputed movies are a good watch.

JayCWhy

Highly recommend The Furious 2026 with Mo Tse, Joe Taslim (The Raid), and Yanyan Ruhian (The Raid, Mad dog). Most complex fighting scene choreography I have seen in a long time.

Karate originated in the Ryukyu Kingdom, which is modern-day Okinawa, Japan. It developed from local fighting styles mixed with Chinese martial arts. - source: Wikipedia

chao_2x (ABZ💙)

sad & crazy fact… GrandMaster IpMan died on December 2, 1972 and Bruce Lee died seven months later on July 20, 1973. so crazy their wills lives on till this day

After Work Gamer

Little bit of trivia: Scott Adkins (famous for playing Boyka in Undisputed and real martial master) idolized Donnie Yen growing up. When they finally fought in Ip Man 4, they filmed the final duel over 7 brutal days with zero prior rehearsal. Adkins said you had to be on your toes—Donnie throws combinations at lightning speed, and if your reaction timing is off by a microsecond, you're getting hit real bad!

I hope y'all plan on checking out the spinoff movie Master Z! Though if I could recommend another one, I'd like to recommend The Forbidden Kingdom

Lvy0426

During the festival fight I am convinced if Master Chiang (the female Master) had a bit more body weight to put behind her punches than she would've handled dude.

JustSushi_

Just any FYI the last dude Ip man was fighting ... he's also a great martial artist. His name is Scott Adkins. Should check out his movies !

Ryuuji

Gotta check out Fearless with Jet Li!!

Fun Fact: the art of Wing Chun traces back to a woman: Ng Mui, a Shaolin nun, created a new, streamlined fighting system based on flexibility and efficiency rather than brute strength. She passed this system down to Yim Wing-chun, a woman who used the techniques to fend off a local bully trying to force her into marriage. The art was subsequently named after her.
