Every time I get excited for Independence Day man... & its a dumb slop movie but at least its fun entertaining slop & not dreary miserable slop

No I'd say its rating is perfectly appropriate its poorly written & a downgrade from the original in every respect & they made the horrific creative decision to replace the gorgeous practical effects with terrible CGI, I'd say the hate is well earned.

That’s what I thought. I sent him the ending credit. It’s a 3 minute video. This situation reminds me of when I used to go to the movies and observe some people getting up as soon as the credits came on, snd then didn’t realize they missed a part of the movie.

The crazy thing is that part was what made the movie amazing for me how its ending stops right where the other film starts so it was incredible even though they were made almost 30 years apart. To bad they missed it 🥺🥺

Yes, I thought it was brilliant 💡The only thing I didn’t like about this film was that I could grasp onto who the characters were besides the lead character. There was a script for a sequel, but the project was scrapped.

Well… John is getting up there in age. Kurt Russel and Keith David too. I know everyone was on board to do it. I don’t know they didn’t go through with the project. Just like how the “cliffhangered” the 1982 version, I think they also wanted to leave the ending “cliffhangered” with Kate just in case there wasn’t going to be a sequel to the 1982 version 🙂 I love films like this. Have you ever seen “Invasion of the Body Snatchers?” That Series is good too.

I will say making this prequel was genius. I’m sure many people who first watched this in the 80s wondered what happened to this group Kurt and his gang found. I love how it was tied together in the end. It answered questions and provided a backstory of why Lars was chasing the dog. It also explains why he got shot in the 80s version. Lars couldn’t speak English, so communication was out the door. Could’ve really saved a lot of people if they just let him handle business or attempt to hear him out 😂👀

39:30 Yall and all other content creators really got to learn and understand you just can't do things. Dark asf at night and snow storms? Yeah you easily crashing a helicopter. I know yall feel like people be making stupid decisions all the time in these movies not leaving movie but yall need to understand you always just can't leave and go when it comes to vehicles or just use weapons and things. All these movies and shows got yall thinking you can just do stuff but you can't. There's a reason why these people are specalists that takes years of schooling and even more years of training and expertise to get to where they at to use this equipment and stuff otherwise anyone can be a pilot or such.
