Had a fun time with this one! We were unable to film GOT this particular day so we switched it to a movie reaction and Legion was the pick! Hope y'all enjoy the uncut reaction.

One of Tyrese and Vision good performance before they got locked in with Fast/Furious & Avengers roll lol

Emily

I bought the subscription just to watch this. Next is Constantine!

Dre_Houston

Lucas Black reminded me yall should watch Friday Night Lights, the film and the show too.

Andrew Jones

Y’all need to check out the Netflix show Lucifer. About how satan leaves hell and starts a life in LA

Joh Wat

Gotta watch fright night

ReRe Robinson

I doubt adison would like that show, since he’s a hardcore Christian and that show practically glorifies the devil

JM

Wow that is Vision 😂

Andrew Jones

He’s watched things much worse. He’s says he likes stuff related to Christianity even if it’s fiction

JM

I used to watch this all the time as a jit. Because yall mentioned the setting and budget it made me think about another movie that came out around the same time -- Devil (2010). Most of the movie takes place in an elevator.

There are instances where God has changed His mind due to the intercession of others. The story of The Golden Calf (Exodus 32:14): After the Israelites build the golden calf, God intends to destroy them. Moses pleads on their behalf, and the text notes: "And the Lord relented from the evil which He thought to do unto His people." In the story of the City of Nineveh (Jonah 3:10): When the pagan city of Nineveh heeds the prophet Jonah's warning and repents, the text says: "God saw their deeds, that they turned from their wicked way; then God relented concerning the calamity which He had declared He would bring upon them. And He did not do it." Some ancient Jewish scholars saw this contradiction as a representation of God's deep and abiding relationship with and investment in humanity. I always see this story as one of God's first children (the archangel) Michael, taking action to remind his Father that God's grief and disappointment doesn't outweigh the love of a parent (which we see in the example of Audrey and her mother's lashing out at her).

Gail Ferguson

I think it doesn't glorify Lucifer. In fact, Lucifer is very different according to what scripture you are following. Jewish scripture: Lucifer works for God and did not rebel. Christian: Lucifer is now 'Satan' and an evil fallen angel that looks scary. The tv show plays with both of these. It gives him nuance and also a really great way of explaining the state of Hell. In ancient text, the Hell shown in the tv show is a much better representation of the cleansing of the soul written about in the Talmud and much more ancient concepts of life after death in relationship to God (as written by Jewish scholars) and one's behavior on Earth to themselves and others. That place is more like Purgatory. It also uses some Jewish figures for the stories that come from ancient Jewish text and oral stories. Again, the show takes stories and gives them a twist.

The 80’s version!

MattPalmer237

Demon behavior, absolutely...but we wouldn't even know what demons were if it hadn't been for the Angelic behavior we were told in Genisis 6, so...

Eartha Clit

I wonder if they'll react to the show

jrod2824

Good movie, you should react to Dogma 1999

Nick Carollo

"you got a good heart... and a delicious throat" thats crazy LMAOO

I think it was worded badly as if Michael really rebelled but I think if it was really what God wanted there wouldn’t have been an option (saving the baby etc) to fix things. it would have just been a wrap so obviously Michael saw something or maybe was even told something the others may not have known.

Kalila

I forgot how good this movie is

Rosedawson87

That's the grandmother from Wedding Crashers

Brian Harris

Where can we suggest movies?

Mi'Angel

lol yup Devil is a good movie too😂👌🏾

Also more generally, I appreciate portrayals of the archangels where they *do* have doubts or questions. It's more humanizing to have them wonder *why* something is being done in a certain way than to just be robots carrying out mechanical orders at all times (if they were that then Lucifer wouldn't have fallen).

Anaya

Yes, Constantine is one of my favorites!

Isah Reyes

You guys gotta watch the movie oculus

Targary

the juxtaposition of christians judging jeep over his love for a pregnant woman shows the contradiction on their part and it is so funny to me

When we pray and things change, it’s not that we convinced God to alter His master plan. God is all-knowing, so He can't be surprised or forced to change His mind. Instead, God has built a relational relationship with us. He chooses to wait for our prayers before He moves, making our prayers a vital part of how His will unfolds on earth. So, it’s not about us changing God’s mind, it’s about God inviting us into a partnership to bring about His perfect timing and purposes. Please read Numbers 23:19, Malachi 3:6, and James 1:17. Also Jeremiah 18:7–8 and Ezekiel 22:30.

Gail Ferguson

Perhaps *change* is not the word I should have used, but as I am not a scholar, nor am I a Christian any longer, I'll accept making a personal mistake. This does not alter what I said about God having relented and not followed through on a decision of destruction. What makes the movie Legion interesting is the fact that this intercession is not between a human and God, but an Archangel. This movie's version of God is so pissed off He no longer cares to wait for a human to alter an outcome (the baby He wants killed!!!), which actually breaks the covenant God made after the flood. This moved Archangel Michael so much that he literally gave up his wings (symbolically becoming like the mortals to intercede) for them. Honestly, there could be an argument here that faith should not be blind and unquestioning, which is something the angels have been until this moment with Michael. So if we go with believing God is all-knowing, can't be surprised or have His mind changed, then we (in context of this story) have to accept that God was now looking to teach his angels to think for themselves/ actively intercede for mortals by killing thousands of humans just to get just one Angel to save a baby He ordered destroyed. Just the kind of argument Jewish scholars loved to have among themselves lol

Hollywood makes it known how they feel about God. They distort God to make him look like the enemy or evil. Woe to those who call evil good and good evil, who put darkness for light and light for darkness, who put bitter for sweet and sweet for bitter - Isaiah 5:20

Trini1492

Addison you all didn’t realize Michael (the character) is now Vision from Avengers.
