I’m against ai for the voice generated and deepfakes too but since I’m working in tech/ai industry it’s basically my everyday life… ai is actually useful when you know how to utilize it. I hope one day they will do something about the environment issues that’s all

Yah, i mean I have used it, our university gives free premium gemini to people learning and doing courses in it, but ai is a broad term i don’t condone it’s use in arts, and I am sure they don’t as well, but like it’s becoming such a normal parts of our lives, so yah. I wish I could talk to namjoon and yoongi about it, but I am mature enough to know bts is an ip , the biggest hybe and korea has so like i don’t gotta support all their collabs but there are so many die hard armies as well. Like i just wanted to have a proper conversation that’s not extremes.

Personally, while I don’t agree with AI, especially in the arts, it is a part of the world now. I can’t see it going anywhere, no matter the opinion of the people. I think the best thing we can ask for is that it’s promoted to be used in positive and safe ways, and I hope BTS is the kind of group that can do that.

I have so many things that I want to say but I can’t write it out properly but basically I agree with yall and I’m glad yall make sense and share the same feelings I feel about the situation and the whole bts as a brand sentiment too🙂‍↕️

Yes exactly! And I feel like ai is now what internet used to be in the 90s. People were skeptical at first but eventually evolved to what is it now because tech is advancing every year. I just hope that it will be used in good faith

My thoughts on AI are so in between, it’s complicated. I’ll be honest and say I have used it for small and quick info, but at the same time, I’m someone who gets annoyed when I see it on my feed and ads. Growing up, we were always taught this was our future, so I think a part of me sees it as that, just the future, while another part of me fears the impact it has. I genuinely believe the best thing to do is to grow with it and direct it in the correct paths. I think the quicker we accept it, the faster we can fix it.

I feel like I don’t even know enough to have an opinion. Since I’m retired I feel like the tech world has left me behind in the dust 😂 I need to educate myself

I mean you’re not wrong, the amount of change and updates ai has had to actually be useful and not just gibberish has been crazy like I remember my teacher in senior year had us do a challenge with the prototype version of ChatGPT to see how many questions it would take for it to be completely wrong which was very quick but nowadays it’s up there with Google but now it just pisses me off because so many people are relying on ai to ask questions and generate pictures and videos in the creative space when it’s still not 100 percent and it just gives me a weird feeling, not to sound like a such marvel fan but I would trust Jarvis to do it and this doesn’t feel like Jarvis it feels like ultron pretending to be Jarvis😵‍💫😭😭

I pretty much agree with both of you, noel and Peachy. I think AI can be useful for some things, and I actually use ChatGPT a lot, mainly for translation. But I also have a VERY personal reason for not being thrilled about Gemini 😂 I had a huge fight with Gemini a while ago and haven’t used it since, so when I saw BTS × Gemini, I was like, “Oh nooo, not Gemini 😭” So yeah… I’ve got some personal beef with Gemini too lol 😂

and on the topic of ai replacing people in workplace but it’s also given new job opportunities as well. So it’s not always black and white.

I love that our Community can have important conversations like this together. Ai is most definitely a complex and sometimes overwhelming topic. I’m personally wholeheartedly against its use in the creative arts at all because it steals work from creatives who already fight an uphill battle for recognition, respect, and adequate compensation for their talents. The amount of Ai slop art and music already flooding the Internet makes me so sad. I know so many talented artists whose work now gets buried and lost amongst all of that garbage.

I do believe Ai can have positive applications but the environmental costs far outweigh the benefits for me thus far. I have hope that the brilliant minds of today can come up with solutions that will help us integrate Ai as the helpful tool it should be and not as the dangerous out-of-control monolithic power that some fear it may become.

I’m sure that the members are well aware of the ramifications of this collab. Hopefully they have done their homework and are comfortable in the uses that Gemini is being marketed for. I personally will keep my distance for now. I am open to learning more as the technology evolves but for now, it’s just not for me.
