Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

We need your questions for our next episode of “This Week in Ukraine.” The topic this week is the recent string of Ukrainian drone strikes on Russian oil refineries.

Though Ukraine has been attacking Russian oil infrastructure since the start of the full-scale invasion, in the past two weeks alone there have been dozens of attacks, across nine regions in Russia, all targeting oil refineries.

To send in your questions, you can leave them in the comments below, message us on Patreon, or email our community manager Brooke at brooke@kyivindependent.com. We look forward to hearing from you.

Episode 10 of Season 2, “How will Trump’s potential re-election affect war in Ukraine?” is linked above, with the community question starting at 22:10. The episode is available on YouTube and on listening platforms.

As we have seen from history politics is about telling tall stories and doing simple small things. Trump will if elected, a big if, try to make quick fix deals to avoid responsibility at the lowest possible price. The only positive about such a behaviour is making it crystal clear that Europe has to shape up to confront Russian aggression on its own, even Germany. The answer about abandoning will be: A president Trump will abandon all and everything for his own glory, also the reputation of the American Union of States.
