Six months war update with Defense Reporter Illia Ponomarenko (Patreon)
Content
When Russia began its full scale invasion just over six months ago, many believed Kyiv would fall in three days. This week, Ukraine began its counteroffensive in the south — reports so far say that Ukraine has liberated multiple towns in Kherson Oblast.
On Thursday, Sept. 8, we invite you to join us for a Q&A with our defense reporter Illia Ponomarenko. He will answer your questions and talk about the current state of Europe’s deadliest war since WWII happening in his own country.
Read some of Illia’s recent articles: “6 months of war: How Russia got derailed in Ukraine” and his op-ed “Stop whining about the war in Ukraine.”
Illia has been reporting on Russia’s war against Ukraine since 2014. He has also worked on deployments to Palestine and the DR Congo as an embedded reporter with UN peacekeeping forces.
The event is scheduled for Thursday, Sept. 8, at 8 p.m. Kyiv time (1 p.m. EDT).
This event is exclusive to our Patreon community members.
