Phoebe RC

How Ukraine is handling the infrastructure destruction by targeted Russian attacks.

Christina Roland

Particularly interested in what life is like in areas that have been liberated. Daily life, is that okay again? Is there public transport again, are hospitals open again, who cleans up and ensures recovery?

Hel K

Thanks for asking and best wishes to you and to the people of Ukraine

Per

The current state of news media and journalism in Ukraine and what the future of those look like

John Buchan

I was hoping for something on the crackdown in Ukraine of the Oligarchs and corruption. Keep up the good work.

Heidi Bilas

Towards Ukrainian policies after victory/post-Putin Russia, that advance Ukraine's security and future. For example, what happens to Russia's nuclear weapons, NATO & all allies of Ukraine, economic and reconstruction plan/assistance and how the world can help (gov'ts and public)

Alexander Purps

Pls continue to be a controlling force of current politics, too.

Joseph Lapinski

I believe there are other sites better able to talk about war pr-ojections, especially https://youtube.com/@RFU, so stick to everyday life. Great job. Slava Ukrainii

Alexander Purps

How to fight climate desaster, environmental protection, sustainable economy

Anders G

I totally understand that almost all focus is on fighting the invaders but is any effort in changing the system to fight the corruption?

Mel Bee

The country's post-war plans; how Ukraine's politics and policies will change. Is the current government setting the country on the right track?

Christopher Hoffer

Briefly Ukraine’s history with Belarus, Belarusian involvement in Ruzzia’s war, and current Ukrainian interactions/involvement with Belarus.

ned robbins

"man in the street (random citizen) view on the cost of the battle.....is a free and independent country worth the cost.....this is a question I wish most Americans would consider.

Kate Higginson

Post-war politics and how economics and politics will influence recovery and reform

Rick Lewis

Keen to see you maintain scrutiny on oligarchs and corruption. Plus, when it's all over and russia admits it has lost, what will the veteran response be towards corruption and cronyism - do you think there are likely to be further revolts if they return from the front and it's just business as usual or will the government and the people not allow it to flourish as before?

Martin Moss

How is the war impacting training in medical and dental

KapitainZino

The victory needs a lot of resources and money. As nobody can tell how long and how strong the democratic world will support Ukraine, the question about the shape and survivability of the Ukrainian business is crucial for the support of the war effort and securing workplaces for the population. So how is the Ukrainian business doing in the state of war and what can investors/fiends of Ukraine do - is a very important one. Tell us about all this and give us hints where we can meet businessmen needing help.

Johan Olsson

Briliant topics all of them 👍🏻

Allen Graves

PTSD effects among the general population and the government’s outlook for mental health treatment especially for children. Crank down on the Russian Orthodox Church and it’s influence on the population. Corruption of policymakers at the local level (Kremenchuk Mayor)

Tatyana Polnyi

Corruption in Ukraine and how to fight it

Steve Wegner

How to become a full member of the european union.

Maren

UBI as German domestic anti war policy, e.g. culturally

Alan Kania

As a retired journalist, I'm curious how you are finding officials within the government or military while under attack. You must feel more like a war correspondent than a national correspondent.

Artemis Green

Thank you for asking. I would be interested in more reporting on the Ukrainian economy. As I understand it, economic growth was predicted to contract about 35% and it is dealing with issues like the destruction/damage of productive agricultural land and the displacement of large numbers of its labour force - all thanks to russia's bloodthirsty and immoral invasion. I would be interested in more reporting on that and what the human impacts are like and what policy response there is by the Ukrainian government (or maybe their hands are full just dealing with the war).

Kajetan Huerzeler

Measures and results in the fight agains corruption

Bruce Carpenter

Which organizations are providing needed assistance effectively and what we can do to support those efforts.

Lesly Garreau

Thanks for your work, guys! Слава Україні! 🇺🇦🔥

Dennis Acosta

All of the topics are equal to me but as I need to choose, the forward looking one has the advantage. I get a lot of the history and culture from friends I've made since the invading of 2022.

Mark Lohrer TDA-HR

We would like to know, what can be done for nature in founding a new company?!

Matthew Harrison

Suggested topic: How to sustain international support for Ukraine as time passes. 'Western' support for Ukraine has been remarkable staunch, surviving Putin apologists, high energy prices, food extortion, and nuclear blackmail. However, this support cannot be taken for granted, and in the global south support, where it exists, is much weaker. It would be valuable to explore the various threats to support for Ukraine and address them. One strand of the answer would surely be for Ukraine to keep demonstrating (as it has done) that it is worthy of support, both in making good use of it in the fight against Russia and in using it to (re)build a good society

Shari L. Wilson

As a sustainability and resilience educator, I am interested in what Ukrainians see as the future once the war is over and how we can support their vision. I know it may be hard to think about that when you are trying to survive the present, yet it is a conversation I am having with my friends and colleagues in Ukraine right now.

Joe McLaughlin

Bellingcat and open source intelligence

maria duczko

How can we organize around the fact that Sweden (Post Nord) offers sending packeges to Ukraine for free. I mean on the Ukraine end: who take care of distribution of the content to the people in need?

Sedge Dienst

The removal of Ukrainian children and women from occupied areas must be tracked and their whereabouts, condition and means of return to Ukraine must not fall from worldwide attention. Not enough is being published about this topic, and it’s possible that when the war ends there could be too little pressure to compel Russia to return them. Especially children who’ve been “adopted”.

ann mcstay

Reconstruction plans; maintaining and building world understanding of keeping Russia from encroaching anywhere else

Alex Gann

How the new Ukraine (after Victory) is going to be better than it was prior to February 2022. Victory is near, we need to be hopeful and planning now. Secondly - how can we get Ukrainian citizens and children back? What has worked in the past, what efforts will be made?

Alex Gann

Those would be interesting and hope inspiring topics. Thank you for all you do in keeping the world informed! Stay well and be safe.

Alan Jones

For the citizens of all countries hoping to avoid a slide into authoritarianism, institutions must exist (along with a free press) that will protect individual freedoms. What is being done to teach (children and adults) the importance of a participatory democracy? What efforts are being made to hold the corrupt accountable? Fair elections? Ranked choice voting?

Lisa Hayden

International support (maintaining and increasing current levels) and a look forward at rebuilding after the war ends. All your programs are interesting, thank you!

Mr T A EASTON

You ask about issues. Practical things that ordinary people can do to help. I have sent 26 parcels so far and am packing another batch but I get mixed feedback as to what is needed or even allowed due to customs or other regulations. Its OK there is bound to be confusion at time of war. At present I am told baby formula, torches, long life drygoods or tinned. Nothing that can degrade in transit. Nothing secondhand. So 3 boxes of torches with spare batteries. 2 boxes Hospital grade analgesics morphine co-codamol, splints, field dressings. As a private citizen I am not allowed to buy such things for me so I do not. I buy them for Ukraine and they go through the local hospital and I never see them nor do I want to. It is borderline illegal but if it is for Ukraine then it is perfectly legitimate and who will argue otherwise. Want a fight? There is not a jury in the Uk which would convict me. Also not sure about the contents of the parcels - more questions.

Den Mark Wichar

What is the current dynamic among the three Orthodox jurisdictions, and how all religious bodies are aiding in the struggle against the invaders.

Bob Radus

I agree ALL kidnapped Ukrainians must be returned and ALL Russian prisoners (soldiers and civilians) must stay until their destruction is cleaned up and rebuilt. справедливість для україни З повагою, Боб

Mr T A EASTON

Is it Ok to send toys or seed packets. If I send a package for a small family to last them a week and with a card saying I am with them and Solidarnotsk Lech Welenska is that OK and it is better I just send money and leave it up to the Ukraine Government ?

Alan B

I chose "other", instantly. More than 3 million Ukrainians enslaved into Moskovia just since February. We need to them home.

nickbrum

What psychological provision is going to be needed for civilians especially children

Rami Grunbaum

Would be interested to know how Ukrainians are dealing with question of divided loyalties -- obviously some people in occupied territories collaborated or at least went along with the occupiers, while others did not. And in the non-occupied parts of the country, I know there are also questions of where loyalties lie. This must be another difficult dimension of the conflict.

Sasha

Queer diasporas. Wondered what happened to the club called Lift near Lybidska metro and other queer Ukrainians I met like DJ Halanka.

Kay Lidington

How the populace and polities of democratic countries respond to the Ukrainian emergency will shape conflicts, and the potential for conflicts, for at least the rest of this century. This is truely a matter of principle and fundamental values. If short term economic effects, including the effects on prices in regions not ikmediately involved in the dispute, becomes a deciding factor in supporting or accepting armed aggresion, violence, war and deprivation will be the way for the rest of the century. Wake up, World. Conflict will visit you too, eventually, and you will be obliged to deal with the consequences.

Sally

As if there aren't enough dreadful things caused by this war, I was thinking about the Impact of it

Sally

sorry - I was thinking about the impact of the war on the environment

Fiona

The effect of the war on the ecology and environment of Ukraine like the birds nesting the dolphins in the Black Sea and the Carpathians amongst other things.

Hpw Perkins

The deported Ukrainian children. Can they be traced?

Hpw Perkins

Is it possible to get transcripts of the interviews. Sometimes, for me and my hearing, the audio of the spoken words is not clear.

Ali Van Zee

There are some great questions re the war’s effect on the environment and wildlife. This is something I’m very interested in as well. But, I’m also very concerned with how children are coping 10 months into this horror. Is there anything being done on a national scale, such as school programs, to give children some “normalcy”. (As I write this, I’m keenly aware that with Russia’s constant shelling, there can be little to no normalcy.). I think what I’m trying to get at is, how is mental health being addressed for Ukraine’s children (and everyone).

Dmitry

The IL expose was brave and brilliant (proof that Ukraine is indeed Free World country that everyone should be rooting for) and it will be interesting to know of further developments.

Kamil Plecki

On topic I am interested in is: How Russia spreads misinformation in the United States. I live in Houston texas and Isee people like Tucker Carlson, Donald trump, Marjorie Taylor Greene, and others spreading Russian propaganda. But it is so hard for me to highlight the keys pieces of evidence that proves Russian influence in us media. Being able to share an expert analysis of Russian money, ideas, and influence in these American figures could be impactful in the states.

Harry Ewaschuk

Information on specific large cities, % of buildigs damaged, destroyed, estimate of cost to rebuild

John

Transnistria and Russia’s desire for a land corridor to it - through Ukraine. Will Ukraine’s ultimate victory help to secure Moldovan territory, or is that another war that will have to be fought?

Fran

If some of the missiles are coming from the ships in the Black Sea, can the new Patriot system take them out?

Philip Minns

I would be interested in the reality of continuing support for Russia in the areas of Ukraine occupied since 2014. While it is clear that many primarily Russian speaking Ukrainians now want to be Ukrainian, is there likely be pushback, from older residents in particular, when Ukraine reconquers these territories? Are all or most of those who have fled these areas since the start of the war likely to return and rebuild ?

Anselm Lionel-Rajah

More human interest stories would be good to feature. This war is so evil and dire but it is important to remember the good things as well. Hearing stories about how peopleare helping each other out during these times can only keep fueling the flames of encouragement that will ensure the spirit of Ukraine will never fade. For example the Christmas tree in Kiev, I think, was lit despite the power cuts. Id like to know about the effort behind it which made it possible. Thanks Anselm

Rob Stuart

I would like to read stories on inventive/innovative/original ways in which Ukrainian citizens are adapting to the difficult situations they find themselves in.

Kim Malcolm

Arts and culture coverage

California Norma

Fooled you! I've been watching plus one for months. 😇 A friend comes over and we watch it together, and I make a list of questions. After the webinar, he answers my questions. He's from Estonia. His family experienced the USSR 😠

California Norma

To add to the voices about focusing on corruption, I just watched Denys Davydov's latest video. Actually I'm still watching it. And he's talking about a member of parliament who went to intimidate a soldier in hospital recovering from losing his legs and other horrible injuries. The soldier before the war was an activist preventing inappropriate building construction in Kyiv. Apparently there's some proposed legislation called 5655... that centralize all building construction approvals. 😠 Removes local say so. In California that's all we're about, local say so! ☝🏽

fiore

I would like to know what is happening in relation to the accession to EU process. What is The Country doing in relation to the seven required reforms to be implemented by Ukraine. ha ve the Gov A webdire where you can find the implementation of the reforms .

Josee Poirier

What conditions in Russia would be necessary for Ukraine to live without the constant threat from its neighbour? How can long-lasting peace in Ukraine be built, and Russia's imperialistic instincts be defanged permanently?

Claude Huard

Would it be manageable to embed links to show on maps the cities mentioned in the KYIV INDPENDENT news. As a Canadian, it's hard to know where they are, so I search them on Google Maps but there are so many of them. Moreover, sometimes, I'm not even able to located them. I assume that many readers could be in the same position. Just "my two cents" as Americans say ....

Lydia Lodynsky

would be interested in health related data: what % of those remaining in Ukraine are "healthy" (- able to care for themselves), how many have had / have Covid; how many were vaccinated and are they getting boosters; is alcoholism rising; population demographics, etc
