Civilian life in Bakhmut: Q&A with reporter Francis Farrell (Patreon)

Dear Kyiv Independent community members,

Our next community event will be a Q&A with our reporter Francis Farrell about civilian life in Bakhmut in Ukraine’s eastern Donetsk Oblast. Francis traveled to the salt-mining town, the center of the war’s heaviest fighting, in January. Read his recent story about spending one night with civilians in Bakhmut as they live through urban warfare here.

Francis will answer your questions about reporting from the front line and how civilians have been living in the Battle of Bakhmut.

Register and submit your questions here: https://forms.gle/JAPXtSf6R1a9DRSz8

The event is scheduled for Friday, Feb. 10, at 9 p.m. Kyiv time (2 p.m. EST).

Hope to see you there!
