Dear Kyiv Independent community members,
We have some exciting news – some of us are coming to the U.S. next week!
We've partnered with Razom for Ukraine to organize a series of screenings of “Uprooted,” our investigative documentary about Russia’s abduction and deportation of Ukrainian children, followed by panel discussions with the team. The findings from the film were included in the UN report on the deportation of Ukrainian children and in a complaint to the International Criminal Court.
Who's coming? Daryna Shevchenko, our chief executive officer, Yevheniia Motorevska, the head of the War Crimes Investigations Unit, and Olesia Bida, a journalist and the author of “Uprooted.”
The first event will take place on Feb. 14 in New York. We are holding a screening at 7 p.m. at the Cooper Union. You can register here. If you are interested, please make sure to book your spot right away.
After that, we will come to Washington D.C., Houston, Austin, and Phoenix. We will be able to share the exact dates and locations very soon.
We are very excited about this opportunity to meet at least some of you in person!
If you have any questions or suggestions in terms of local groups or communities that we could meet up with during our trip, please let our community manager Brooke know by reaching out to her at brooke@kyivindependent.com.
More updates from us are coming soon!
