I don't know if it's been mentioned before but Emma D'arcy who plays Rhaenyra is non-binary and goes by they/them pronouns, just so that you guys know for the future.

I'm not much of a fan of Alicent's character but that sexual assault scene felt far too much and unnecessary even for a show that's in the universe of game of thrones. It made me feel very sick watching it.

The way that I restarted my membership literally because of this episode 🤣 this was one of my favorite episodes EVER in the entire GOT universe and I absolutely can not wait to see your reactions

Emma D’Arcy deserves an Emmy for her performance - I don’t have kids but I have been through grief when losing my father and the way that she portrayed sudden loss like that was SOOOOOO spot on. I couldn’t stop sobbing for a good 10 minutes after she had finished that scene because of how intense it was. This entire episode was 10/10 from start to finish, IMO I started screaming out loud when I realized Alicent was about to see Headless Otto 🤣

I guess someone on the ships in the gullet was busy writing lady arryn a letter about the princes death lol i mean how tf would she know that fast. I enjoy the show but there are some real hiccups that peak thrones never had.

Emma D'arcy is such a phenomenal actor. If they don't win awards for this season just going off of these first two episodes, I'll be so flabbergasted. Their depiction of grief is so cutting and realistic, I genuinely feel uncomfortable and like I am supposed to look away during the scene in which Rhaenyra sees Jacaerys. I also am in awe of Olivia Cooke's acting in this episode. I do have to mention, getting a little tired of having to watch Alicent be sexually harassed and nearly assaulted. It is, as someone said below, unnecessary. Especially when it feels like the typical complaint regarding her character is, from fans and seemingly a showrunner's perspective, she's religious but has sex. I feel like there are so many ways to address that without us having to watch such gratuitous violence against women. Also can't wait to see Aemond get the shit scared out of him by Alys. It is what he deserves. Such a pompous jerk, can't wait for her to get witchy with him. She's awesome. Gonna miss Jacaerys, and the dynamic between him and Rhaenyra so much. D:
