I’ve always had a soft spot for Carl. I know he can be annoying sometimes but you have to keep in mind this is a young kid trying to learn how to survive in this crazy world & if that wasn’t bad enough now he also has to deal with teenage hormones starting to affect his attitude. This episode was great to show us what Carl was thinking & feeling especially after what happened at the prison. It’s that struggle of a child saying they’re old enough & capable enough to do certain adult things but their parents thinking “no”. As a child actor I’ve always thought Chandler Riggs, who plays Carl, does an amazing job. I remember when Rick first found Lori & Carl then Carl started running to Rick yelling “Dad” & the emotion that Chandler Riggs conveyed gave me chills. I still get them every time I watch it. I thought Chandler conveyed that again, in this episode, by showing us his range of emotions. I always tear up when Carl thinks he has to shoot his Dad but can’t & then just gives up. So heartbreaking💔 Seeing Michonne struggle & going back to her old ways was so sad but I’m very happy she chose to be with people instead of alone. We really need her. It was also great to finally see some of her backstory. Very interesting.

This is my third time watching this series all the way through. It still feels like the first time. Every time. I cry every time one of our main characters cries. Poor Carl. His poor parents were terrified and broken, trying to raise him in the zombie apocalypse. I can't even imagine what he's going through. Or anyone. No other tv show has ever made me feel this strongly about the story. Because even though it's not real, so many aspects of it are. Even if its only speculation. Thanks.
