Charlotte PhD.

OH MY GOD! I need to watch this ASAP! I'm so happy you're watching MHA!

Santos Luna Ramirez

LETS GOOOOO

mikupi

I'm looking very much forward to your reactions and discussions of this show ❤ many lovable characters and much to discuss going forward!! Hope you two enjoy this!!

Matthias Kamm

Not for me personally.. So many seasons too. This'll be here for a while.

Unknown

You were right about Bakugo's VA being Noya. He's also Genya and Himmel

Renzo Sanchez

As a shonen this truly takes a lot of elements from Naruto, black clover, and even jjk. Jjk is peak shonen but this was the show that got me through high school. It’s its own thing and I’m excited for the journey

Orbmaniac

This came out of nowhere for me, but it was a pleasant surprise! ^^

Bradalz

i watched the first 6 seasons in 1 sitting, kinda love this show hopefully s7 doesnt fall off

Xemnas

I knew my bro Angelo was cooking something with the first opening 😮‍💨

Nyxel

Ange covers of My Hero OPs are going to be elite!

Carlos Cantu

Oh holy shit I can't wait for these omg it's happening 😍

Charlotte PhD.

Carlie cried at the same moments I did when I first watched MHA! I'm so happy you enjoyed the first two eps 🤗. I'm 33 so I grew up with old anime like DBZ and I must admit that MHA really reminds me of the old Shonen vibes. The story is pretty "classic" but it's really well done and I love all the emotional moments throughout the serie. Can't wait for the next episodes 😊. Thank you guys for this ♥️

Jeff

im bout to bust

Jenny Case

It’s here! What great way to start out my morning 🥹 So excited for you to experience this journey💛 PLUS ULTRA!

FGK

Bakugo!!! 😆

FGK

Ange loving Mt. Lady but can't wait to see his reaction when he meets Midnight 😏

Matthias

MHA started in 2014 in shonen jump, black clover in 2015 and JJK in 2018. Also the jjk animator are being extremely overwork and awfully treated by the studio and If you read the manga you'll come to understand it's not peak shonen and the author is basicly completly lost in his own story.

Nyxel
>>143596099

First OP is still an all-time classic... My personal favourite is OP 3 but there's so many other good ones that I can definitely see you loving (and knocking the covers out of the park, as per usual)!

Maya Coleman

I can't wait to watch this with you guys this is going to be my first time too ❤️

Kevin T

Been waiting for this since your guys' announcement last week!! Very exciting to rewatch with ya'll

Sikk Karuzo

Oh, my God! Okay, it's happening! Everbody stay calm! This cover was great.

Creative Umair

I would love to get your OP cover for my Spotify playlist, Nailed it

Monrodo

one of my favs. so glad you’re reacting to this!

Aizensalami

FINALLY! I've been waiting for this for ages!! DETOROITOOOOO... SUMMAAAAAAASSHU

Maya Coleman

I agree with ange I feel like bakugo is going to be a very rewarding character

FTN Chicken

Its a surreal feeling coming from most recent Season 7 episode back to the start of the show. Makes you really appreciate all the character development.

Danny C

Oh we’re so ready for these reactions 😭

Mesha

I was hoping yall went for the English dub so I could hear Chris sabat as All might lol

Yoongles

I have such a love hate relationship with this show, I’m totally here for the ride though

Danny C
>>143609442

This show and FullMetal are probably the only 2 shows I personally prefer as dub, even though I love the sub as well. Deku’s english voice actor, especially after season 1, does SUCH a great job

Danny C
>>143613081

Curious to know about the hate part! Does it have to do with the fandom, or did the story/animation fall off for you?

Yoongles
>>143613081

Half and half, the fandom is… well it’s a big fandom and those always lean on the side of annoying at best. The story on the other hand, I feel like it had so much potential and while the outcome isn’t bad, it feels like it falls short of expectation for me.

charlie
>>143613081

the fandom was 95% of what made me stop watching but I'll start watching again with them

Argonhta
>>143613081

@Danny C not the op, but ill give my 2 cents. i started reading MHA when it was at like chapter 20, and felt it had a lot of potential to do something great within the shounen genre. Unforutnately to me it felt like it never rose up, and just kinda settled as a middle of the pack generic shounen that doesn't really do anything interesting or innovative, while also not having the characters to lift it up.

MrYinYang

Great work on the OP cover! Can’t wait to hear all of the other ones

Addstir

Bakugo has the same voice actor as Garfiel, Bakugo is his biggest role though! Chris Sabat is All nights voice in the dub, whenever you get fully caught up I'd maybe recommend doing a reaction to the top dub voice acting moments lol (I'd 100% stick with the sub though, I like everyone more in sub, the dub is still good though)

Spree

I can't explain how enjoyable it is to watch emotionally intelligent reactors with great empathy, watching one of your favorite shows. Not that I'm trying to pin any other reactors against each other, I just found often that some channels were lacking in appreciating the emotion, and only engaged with the action but I think you both compliment each other so well. I'm so overcome when it comes to emotionally moving scenes and soundtracks and watching you guys feels incredibly validating. Carlie's reaction to Midoriya running out was so similar to my own that I felt the magic of watching it for the first time again. I'm so excited for the journey of this show and re-experiencing it with you both. Some of the best quality reactors I've ever watched and I got into reactions years and years ago. I feel incredibly lucky to have discovered you guys through Arcane and then witness your journey here.

Noah Hoorn

I'm so excited for this series. I'm a little disappointed it's subbed instead of dubbed tbh. But I'll still watch, it will be interesting to see the subbed version. I just like the dub voice actors and I feel the emotional moments hit even harder when they're in a language you can understand instead of having to read them. Also Chris Sabat the Vegeta and Armstrong voice actor is All Might's dub voice which is peak.

Ananth Varma

oh this is going to be epic. one of the best thought out storylines ever. it's beautiful you're in for a treat!

Jeff
>>143605173

this is such a spoilery comment hope they dont see this or just forget.

# vivi

SOOO EXCITED FOR THIS SERIES!! I’ve been meaning to rewatch it but watching it with yall is better ^_^ The soundtrack is epic and the character development and world building is so well executed imo!

Anthony Richards

Can't wait for this journey with you guys! I think it's going to be one of your favorites! Prepare for lots of tears just from the powerful sound track alone!

Patrick Wotton

Oh! Don't forget that after the ED there are sometimes very important post credit scenes that you have to watch!

Noctis

the first two episodes always make me cry dawg

Hannah

Wooo so excited! One of my fav anime's (don't listen to anyone that says it falls off, it doesn't! There are moments when it falls back a bit, but it's at the right moments, and very needed). You're both going to love this one, especially the soundtrack and emotional moments, as you've already seen. Can't wait to watch this again with you both :D

Danny C
>>143613081

@yoongles The fandom is hard to avoid, but if you can ignore it, or find people who enjoy it in a less aggressive way, it can be great! As for the story, I see what you mean, there was definitely some aspects where I wish Horikoshi went a tad extra, but I’m overall satisfied with the message @Argonhta you’re valid with those thoughts. I don’t 100% agree that mha didn’t reinvent how shounen was written, since this is probably one of the first stories in modern-ish anime that have very realistic and relatable stories. As superhuman the world of mha is, its still rooted in western comics and regular life, and has had a lot of success because of it. Idk how far you are in the story, or if you have caught up to the manga, but all I’ll say is give it time to cook.

Danny C
>>143617348

Totally agree, been watching these two for a while now, and they both just understand messages, emotions, and themes so well. Not to plug other reactors, but specifically on MHA, I’ve found Yaboiroshi’s group to be one of the other channels that identify those messages and themes pretty well

Spree
>>143617348

I love yaboyroshi! They do really well with balancing comedy and comprehension

Enrico Gratzer

I haven’t watched everything yet, but yes you are right, Bakugo’s VA is Noya’s from Haikyuu, as well as Genya’s from DS as well!

Decaf

I like MHA because it's conventional. I think I really appreciated this when I was surrounded by unorthodox pieces like Chainsaw man, One Punch man and JJK. It's just my preference to keep at least one classic shonen by my side and this was IT after Naruto,One piece and Bleach. Effort, friendship and victory. Some might find it childish but I think it's still pretty cool.

DalyDose
>>143631633

100% valid. I love a good mature and complex show, but sometimes, watching good people work hard and lift each other up is underrated

DalyDose
>>143617348

YBR is funny and all but I'll never take them seriously after their Korra reactions, they did her dirty

The Great Santini

Man we need more eps because these 2 FLEW by lol. Thank you so much for reacting to this show!

Spree
>>143617348

Oh noooooo! I never watched those reactions so I had no idea

Chris pastore

Bakugos VA is the same as Sanemi from DS

JN

Not Katsuki disrespecting the famed Carlie & Ange Notebook (RIP) :(

yessi

I am so happy to see yall reacting to this series. I love you guys' reactions and you are definitely in for a treat with this show as yall are so good at reading and discussing/analyzing characters. Also thank you so much for watching the subbed version. I have watched both and it is actually one of the few anime where I could get through the dubbed but it just hits different in japanese especially specific characters such as in my opinion Bakugo it's just Nobuhiko Okamoto just puts his all. Actually in 2020 he did get surgery if I'm not mistaken and treatment for his throat but fully recovered he is just amazing. I am excited to rewatch and see yall go through this amazing show with many themes you will definitely enjoy. ALSO THE OP COVER IS CRAZZZYYYY I LOVE IT

Saksit Jangprai

You both love this series now ss7 its insane.

Jamie

Amazing cover from Ange! This series will have some really great covers going forward too. So glad to see you both already so emotional (Esp. Carlie. Same here, I cried too!!) The emotional beats and character writing are two of the things that stand out the most to me with MHA. So glad to see you both picking up some of the subtitles of how heroes and quirks are viewed by society already in these first two episodes. It's definitely something to pay attention to as you continue. As a manga reader, I'm really looking forward to watching along with you on your journey here, I think you'll love it!

V STAN

Im so hyped!!!! LESGOOOO 🔥

JN

Great OP cover btw Ange

JN
>>143609442

Chris Sabat is not a good person IRL FYI. Along with a lot of Funimation VAs. Rabbit hole warning.

Mesha
>>143609442

dude it’s been very public all that shit but I’m talking bout the mans VA as all might, I can give a shit about his personal life

Sammie

Love the reaction! I haven't watched the first season in ages so this brought back so many good memories and your reaction made the rewatch 100x more enjoyable as always! Can't wait for you to meet other amazing characters! we already know who you will pick as your favorites 🤭 (EPIC cover as usual! Love it)

Haru [春]

Man the cover goes hard

FGK

@Ange Please do the full version of "You Say Run".

ska
>>143673843

I would save it for the movies. The OPs are too good not to do

Carlie & Ange
>>143673843

Ahhh man i really want to do full covers but they just take up so much time and our schedule is always absolutely packed!

FGK
>>143673843

Aww…well it’s completely understandable 😁 At least you guys are already watching the show. Love your reactions ❤️ Really excited for the next episodes 😃

Arshes Nei

" The Day has Commmmee"

JustChris

I wish you guys watched the dub so we could see Ange react to Chris sabat

SpaceCadet

I wish they did dub for this besides young deku I really think its great

Dess Balmas

BAKUGO BAKUGO BAKUGO ❤❤❤

angelalala

can't wait to rewatch My Hero w/ you guys, the first few seasons are definitely some of the best shounen anime episodes ever made. Horikoshi (the mangaka) IMO does a fairly good job in worldbuilding the world of MHA.
