Probably the weakest episode so far. What did you guys think?

Agreed. I don't mind slow-pacing when there are character development and plot progression but it only works when there is good writing. I think it was the weakest episode regarding writing this season and the scene with daemon and his mother was really unnecessary. It is a shame because episode 2's writing was one of the best of the serie so far. Especially because game of throne franchise is know for his slow-pacing with amazing writing. so yeah a shame but still i have hope for the rest of the season

Agreed. Felt like there was a lot of dialogue with little progression of the overall story. I also think the teen/young adult actors in this show make me feel so unserious about many things they say. That's probably just a bias because I really care about immersion and having characters feel believable. Edit: This is not me saying the dialogue is wholly bad, but the dialogue has to feel meaningful to me, and from my perspective, it didn't really land.

This show at its weakest is still better than anything else on TV rn 🤷🏽‍♂️ episode alone was worth it for that shot of Aemond infront of the throne 😮‍💨😮‍💨

this episode was mostly setup for the future. didn’t think that it was bad, though. Except Daemon and his mom, wtf was that. really loved that we got to see some Luke and Baela.

Completely agree. This franchise thrives even with just dialogue between characters, but this episode didn’t even deliver in that department tbh

On your own time I highly recommend The Bear on Hulu if you haven’t check that out. Show is incredible, but will spike your anxiety by a million 😅 But yeah HotD seems to be the only “appointment tv” show left that isnt anime 🥲

Idk if any of yall have Apple+, but Severance is an amazing show. Extremely good character writing and the story is just so fascinating.

I have heard a lot of good things about Severance. I was gonna wait for the second season to be out to check it out 👀

Martina

it wasn’t, but Harrenhall messing with Daemon’s head is. I think they just did it for shock value

Probably a good plan to wait, I think Season 2 has completed its filming. Looks like the current release date is set for Jan. 17th, 2025.
