To explain the Hori family dynamic, many Japanese fathers and mothers don't live under the same roof. Some work away from their families almost permanently. It's why so many Japanese high school students, especially in anime don't have parents around. " And, Japanese have a social bathing culture, so many men and women will go together to hot springs or bathhouses. When I lived there, I got invited and went many times with friends and relatives.

After Horimiya, Kimi ni Todoke please 🙏

Bell Arclide

They didn't pick up on the fact that they actually slept together lol. I thought the ending scene with them naked in bed would have given it away.

It's hilarious, Ange thought they only made out. They were both naked and the girl BIT him. That's a little bit further than making out. After Kaguya-Sama and My Dress Up Darling I understand how a progressing relationship would be outside of what they expect to see.

Bradalz

Are you guys going to watch the missing pieces?

MrYinYang

Love my weekly dose of diabetes from these rom-com reactions

Men bathing with men, and women bathing with women, is an ancient tradition in Japan that is still practiced (and completely normal) today. A lot of “slice of life” anime’s have episodes where classmates will go to bathhouses together during their overnight school field trips (as crazy as that seems 🤣). The fact that her dad wanted to bathe with Miya, showed he was already willing to accept him into the family AND explains why everyone was so chill about it. The only reason Miya was uncomfortable was because he didn’t want him to see his tattoos. It had nothing to do with the actual bath. Also, I guess you guys were a bit distracted by the bite mark there, but Miya and Hori weren’t wearing clothes when they were talking about it. So they did, in fact, sleep together at the end there.

Guys...wtf? ..they went all the way in that scene. They even threw in a post credit scene with them both naked for viewers who didn't pick up on it.

ImZeaT

I don't know how you guys didn't pick up on the fact that they slept together even when the show showed you the aftermath of them naked with a bite on Miya's nape 😂

ViperBreeze

This is my first slice of life series watching along with you guys. I think you both would really like ReLife as well from the vibes I’m getting on Horimiya so far.

ImZeaT

By the way, contrary to what you said in the episode 6 reaction, The Missing Pieces is not there to fill up the story, it is there to extend/expand the story to include things from the manga that were just left out in the first season!

Lmao what?! Didnt think that’d be settled in a post credit scene! 🤣 theyve barely even kissed!!! Oh man thats embarrassing 😆

haha this manga is actually quite long and most of the chapters are short little mini-arcs, which is why the episodes are broken up the way they are. So it feels way quicker in the anime since there were originally only 12 episodes. Also the anime doesn't bring this up but Hori's parents were young parents so their dynamic with their daughter is very unique compared to other Japanese households. And like people said, it's common for adults their age to work an atrocious amount of overtime or work out of town. lol.

Anybody else having issues with the passcode for ep6-7? I’m typing it in correctly but it’s saying I’m doing it wrong

Yara

They had sex at the end there, btw

Tbh, it still didn’t seem that obvious, but maybe it was just us 😆 You could barely see that Hori was naked for like 1-2 seconds in that end credit. And, they were fully clothed in the scene prior!

Mesha

Things were steamy at the end there cause they ffffffucked

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Listen to what Hori says as she lies down on top of him. They couldn't word it that she wants him inside, but they did without it being so blunt. Also poor Sota heard the whole thing. Thats why he said don't take my sister frim ne to Miyamiru. Anyway, you got more than the kiss, but unlike zmy Dress Up Darling, they didn't animate certain things. Great reaction as always

Speaking of Loose Units... who was the original Loose Unit for this channel? It was someone from AOT but I forgot lol. Hange? Erwin? Eren himself?

Whammadoodoo
>>146257310

With all due respect, it wasn't just being naked that should sell the scene - Hori did say "there was a heat within me, and I wanted Miyamura to feel it too."

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO
>>146257310

Yes, it certainly did...they crammed 25 episodes of the manga into 13 episides. That was a mistake so that's why we got the missing pieces. Even with that they seemed to skip alot

K_How

Yup, the sex scene went right over their heads. “Making out” they say lol. Check back to the after credits scene and see what they are wearing. ;)

Exactly!!! I literary yelled out "Did they not clock that!?!?! Did that just go RIGHT over their heads?!?!"

MJAnime

There's nothing wrong with a little biting...

kinetic98

Thank you mamma miya

Anton

When Izumi was away for 5 days they said he was visiting relatives and he forgot his charger so his phone was dead throughout it

Anton
>>146257310

Tbh imo I preffered it moving at the speed it did, feelt more unique than most romance anime where nothing really happens until the very end of the anime

tracee miasco

My question is how the hell did hori bite him? What kind of position were they doing 😂😂
