you guys still going to put a romance/slice of life in Horimiya's slot?

Sawwwwa

Thank you for reactions. Iura's house architecture looks very traditional to me, also they seem to be raised by grandparents, Iura asked his sister "there is graps" then he got home. So I think they both had a strict traditional upbringing, and thats why Iura holds himself very reserved at home, but letting loose at school. While sister is too uptight with her studies and she is less of a goof in general, so she doesn't know how to relax properly and stress making her grades bad, which in turn make her stress more. Thats more or less how I read situation :)

No One piece uploads?

I see some people interpret what Toru said about Sakura being out of his league very seriously. Like they think Toru likes Sakura but thinks he isn’t worthy of her or sth like that. The thing is, if you watch enough romance anime, you’ll know that saying “I’m not good enough for you” to sb who confesses to you is basically just a nice and polite way to say “Sorry, you’re not the one for me”. They say that bc they don’t want the other person to feel like they’ve been rejected.

I think some people don't want to be comforted physically when they're very upset like that. I can appreciate Sengoku's respect for the potential boundaries.

Most likely but there might be a bit of a break just so we can catch our breath because of the amount of series we're doing atm 😆 We'll reassess and then release a poll soon!

These were the Episodes were I really stopped caring about Hori/Miya and invested in every side character. They need a spinoff of their own.

Noctis

i agree with the hug thing, there A LOT of moments in anime where im like HUG HER MAN SHE NEEDS A HUG after moments in the show but i dont think they hug like that in japan or something just based off the bunch of animes ive seen

Remington Odell

Carlie is spot on about those red flags. I know the anime is playing it for laughs but I know too many people in real life that are super controlling of their partners personal time and who they hang out with. It really hits home.

Noctis

i really liked ep 11 the sibling relation episode is great!

Carlie THANK YOU!! i enjoyed horimiya and even read the whole manga but it's definitely not a relationship to look up to. it bugs me that hori controls aspects of miyamura's life and act like she has any right. this is why tooru and yuki are my favorite ship :,)

Yeah, I always interpreted that scene as him knowing her well enough as a friend to know that she wouldn’t want that attention on her and that’s why he turns away.

Still praying to see Missing Pieces episode 1 pop up in my notifications right after episode 13 🙏🙏

JAMES D'ALESSANDRO

Now, do you see how they just jammed 25 episodes worth of material down to 13 by cutting pieces out.....you could say that they are missing pieces

RiftRusher

I suggest to watch bunny girl senpai for this slot :)

not everybody wants to be touched just because they’re crying. sometimes you just want someone to listen to your feelings

Yeah Sengoku not hugging Sakura when she broke down crying was weird. Maybe they did it for cinematic effect? Maybe Japanese consider hugging too awkward in that situation? Maybe Sengoku just felt awkward there? idk I also think Hori being jealous of Miya's male friends supposed to be played as a joke about Hori being super jealous, but yeah it is toxic if taken as not a joke. I see both sides. Angie Pangie is hilarious lol
