Late to the party as always, but the captain's death is absolutely haunting in the dub, like genuinely distressing. And yeah, Carlie's right, her last moments were psychological triggers to something possibly very traumatic or sad, which makes her death even more... visceral. There's something about the way AOT depicts death and the characters' responses to it that mirrors the uncanny valley, in the sense that it's real enough to be uncomfortable. Astounding writing.

1. Yes it’s fine to correct you on something when it’s been established previously. If there are any spoilers which seem to happen only on YouTube we will do our best to remove them all. 2. Yeah it’s annoying when people hype up a certain episode and make it obvious that episode 6 is going to be insane, it’s impossible to stop that from happening as some people just don’t get it. Silly little hints like the flag breaking I believe are fine because that’s a common funny theme in the fandom and it has absolutely no context.

I'm glad the episode hyping was brought up at the beginning, I hope we can avoid doing that for some other episodes coming up in the future. At the same time I want to commend the moderators for their hard work, I am sure it's like herding cats trying to keep this fandom in line, not because anyone here wants to spoil the show, but because AOT is the kind of show that inspires a great deal of enthusiasm.

You guys cut out the part where Berthold was about to transform into his titan when the tower fell down. You could see how berthold was about to bite his hand before Yimir showed up. Subtle little hint there.

Regarding the theory about Reiner's skin not being broken, it actually was. Christa-storia makes a bandage/sling out of her skirt, and they use a bottle of the contraband alcohol to disinfect it. And then later in that episode, the scout (Gelgar) gets thrown into the tower and believes he's finally found some booze! But he found the bottle they dumped on Reiner's arm, which is why it is empty. Poor guy...
