Welp right before I was going to sleep haha 😂

saylaa

thank you !

mauri9998

Fun fact ep 15 was done by some of the AoT season 4 people

MADHOUSE

Thanks guys! This whole season can be summarized with FMA Mustang's quote (modified), "it's a terrible [Vinland Saga Season 2's entire airing time] for rain" 🥺😭

Barion

Well I know what I'll be doing later. Thanks for the triple!

mauri9998

The mangakas name is Makoto Yukimura. He also wrote another manga that also got made into an anime called Planetes, you should check it out after you are done with Vinland Saga.

Nick

LMAO when Ange said "WHAT THE HECK IS THAT??" after ep.16 ended, I felt that.

David Salazar

The reaction GODS have blessed us with a triple drop

imvirals

Does anyone also think they would LOVE monster

Monster is a brilliant show as much I have seen but is it reaction worthy is the question?

Amrith

You guys being absolutely quiet during Gardar's send off is one of the most powerful reactions I have seen on this channel and that too for a tertiary character. Loved the shout out btw 😆.

Cation

"For honor and wealth...." That single line breaks me every time I see this episode. Such a well crafted episode that will show how much you of your life you'll miss for all the battles happening. And the OST called "Rusty Sword" playing in the end when Gardar was reminiscing, so fucking powerful. This show is one of a kind. Very few shows that makes you cry for a guy you just barely met.

jep2003

The final episode of this bunch gets me every damn time. Such a show man

Nick

This show is too good even through the highs and lows. Lol I’m excited for when you upload your reactions to it!

KaijinGarou

Snake went back because he thought Gardar running that fast while being severely injured was sketchy, so he suspected something was up. You were talking when he explained it 😅

2x15: It was a small moment, but call back to Hordaland, the slave of Askeladd's uncle from S1 ep 8 was such a nice moment. Thorfinn remembering his forgotten dream through her words is something so beautiful and poetic. 2x16: Seeing Thorfinn simply raise his fists got me more hyped than any recent flashy climactic battle I’ve seen in anime 2x17: a little fact! Miklagard or Miklagård was the name used by the Nordic peoples to designate the Byzantine city of Constantinople ( Istanbul now ) when they had contact with the empire during its expansion through eastern Europe. apparently...snake had the experience of being a Varangian guard, an elite guard of some emperor or Byzantine expedition. In fact, his sword refers to that time in his life and also why he is so skilled + Also his sword is originally from middle eastern part according to Makoto Yukimura

KaijinGarou

100% agree. Thorfinn assuming the same stance he used with his daggers for vengeance but this time unarmed to prevent others' blood from being spilt with that theme and that image of his younger self overlapping give me chills. Good writing and pay-offs get me much more than Avenger level threats 😮

KaijinGarou

The author's name is Makoto Yukimura. I too am loving his work so far 😁

KaijinGarou

SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER I couldn't help but laugh at the mention of Arnheid probably not going to be very lively after this episode. SPOILER SPOILER SPOILER

I hope your viewers are more level-headed and normal than some I've seen on other channels, just thinking about the next episode and DREADING what I'll see.

Hans Wurst

Askeladd knows what a true warrior is supposed to be like. He fought Thors, he heard 'A true warrior doesn't need a sword' and he told Thorfinn with his final breath:"Become a true warrior, son of Thors." Apart from that, Einar is an awesome loyal friend and Arnheid's VA gives an incredible performance (it's gonna get even more intense!).

KaijinGarou

They have different ideas of a true warrior though. Thors clearly didn't think of himself as one.

I think they will be. The only feral comments I've seen have been on YaBoyRoshi's channel.

Hans Wurst
>>110938063

True, he even said it. I wonder if Askeladd's true warrior would be a person like what his mother described Artorius to be like.

KaijinGarou
>>110938063

I don't think so. In his eyes, he's probably just someone who took the chance to get to a better place, leaving many behind in the shit. Askeladd said something along these lines to Thorfinn/Canute: "Even if he were still alive, why would he leave a perfect place to help the people here?". Or something like that. I think he did have Thors as the closest to a true warrior and it was just Thors himself who didn't think had got there yet.

Hans Wurst
>>110938063

That's a really good take! When Askeladd talked about Canute he said 'The more you're fascinated by a guy, the less likely it works out." while remembering Thors. He really held him in special regard. Canute wasn't his first choice for a lord he'd follow but at least he can still form him. Fittlingly Canute turned out like Askeladd, who admired Thors and hated himself.

Painland saga strikes again 💔

James

Gardar’s story is tragic, and while Arnheid could have let him kill Snake, she stop him and gave Gardar an emotional send-off. Also, while Yukimura is anti-violence, it seems like we’re at the point in the story where we have to question if using violence is acceptable in some cases.

Roboton

At the end of episode 16: "Lucky we're watching the next one"... yea🥲

KaijinGarou
>>110938063

Yeah. Even so I guess Thors was never ambitious enough for Askeladd. He really wanted to make a difference in the world and Thors was mostly concerned about his own people, not that is anything wrong with that. I guess that's why he put all his money on Canute instead of Thors in the end.

Tuan Khoi Tran

Lol I dare you to try the next trio episodes guys. Let’s do 18,19,20 and then 21,22,23 together and you will see what PAIN and PEAK is.
