Chapter 1: Black Cat
Marvel Universe - New York City
The Manhattan skyline was a jagged crown of glass and steel, shimmering under a waxing moon that seemed to watch the city’s secrets with a cold, silver eye. On a rooftop overlooking the Diamond District, Naruto Uzumaki leaned against a gargoyle, the cool night air ruffling his blonde hair. He wasn’t wearing his bright orange jumpsuit, that stood out a bit too much even for a guy who could move faster than the eye could follow. Instead, he sported a dark tactical mesh under-armor that hugged his lean, muscular frame, his hitai-ate tied loosely around his neck.
A soft, melodic chuckle drifted through the air, followed by the faint scent of expensive perfume and something sharper, the smell of a hunt.
"You’re late, Fox," a sultry voice purred.
Naruto didn’t turn around. He didn't need to. He could feel the buzz of her chakra, feline, agile, and laced with a playful mischief that always set his nerves on edge in the best way possible. "I got held up by a certain wall-crawler who wanted to talk about 'great responsibility.' Takes a while to tune that out."
Felicia Hardy, known to the world as Black Cat, dropped from the ledge above. She landed silently, her leather suit creaking ever so slightly as she straightened up. The silver trim of her outfit caught the moonlight, and her white hair spilled over her shoulders like a silk waterfall. She sashayed toward him, the mask around her eyes doing little to hide the predatory hunger in her gaze.
"Peter is such a bore," she said, trailing a clawed finger along the line of Naruto's jaw. "Always worried about the 'right thing.' You, though... you’re different. You’ve got that wild energy. Like you’re just waiting for someone to let you off the leash."
Naruto caught her wrist, his grip firm but gentle. "Careful, Felicia. You know what they say about playing with fire."
"I prefer playing with foxes," she countered, leaning in until her lips were inches from his. "Especially ones that have a literal beast inside them. Does he watch? Or is he as grumpy as you pretend to be?"
Naruto felt Kurama’s amused snort in the back of his mind, but he ignored the fox. He was too focused on the woman in front of him. There was a magnetic pull between them, a collision of two worlds that shouldn't have met, yet fit together with a strange, chaotic perfection. He was a shinobi who valued loyalty above all; she was a thief who lived for the thrill of the take.
"He's taking a nap," Naruto lied, his voice dropping an octave.
Felicia smirked, her hand sliding down to his chest, feeling the hard ridges of his abs through the fabric. "Good. Because I didn't call you here to talk shop, and I certainly didn't come here to steal jewels. At least, not the kind you find in a vault."
Before he could respond, she spun away, leaping toward the edge of the roof. "Catch me if you can, Uzumaki!"
She disappeared into the shadows of the next building. Naruto didn't hesitate. With a burst of speed that left a faint golden trail, he took off after her. They danced across the rooftops of New York, a blur of black leather and golden light. It wasn't a chase of duty; it was a flirtation at Mach speed. She used her grappling hooks to swing across gaps, while he used chakra to run vertically up glass towers, meeting her at the peaks.
They ended up at her penthouse, a lavish sanctuary hidden in plain sight. Felicia didn't stop at the balcony; she smashed through the French doors and landed on the plush white rug of her bedroom, turning just in time to see Naruto flicker into existence right in front of her.
The air in the room was thick, charged with the lingering adrenaline of the chase and the undeniable heat that had been building between them for weeks.
"Found you," Naruto breathed.
Felicia reached out, grabbing the collar of his vest and pulling him toward her. "About time. I was starting to think I’d have to leave a trail of breadcrumbs."

She kissed him then, a hard, demanding collision of lips that tasted of salt and full of adrenaline. Naruto responded with a hunger of his own, his hands finding her waist and pulling her flush against him. The contrast was striking: his sun-kissed warmth against the cool, slick leather of her suit.
Felicia let out a low moan, her claws grazing the back of his neck. She broke the kiss just long enough to whisper against his skin. "I’ve wanted to get you alone since that night in Madripoor. You move fast, Naruto. I want to see if you can keep up when things slow down."
She reached for the zipper of her suit, pulling it down slowly. The leather parted to reveal porcelain skin and the curves that had driven heroes and villains alike to madness. Naruto’s eyes darkened, the blue of his irises bleeding into a deep, primal gold as his pulse quickened.
"Trust me," Naruto said, his voice husky. "I’ve got plenty of stamina."
He reached out, his hands covering hers on the zipper, finishing the job. The suit slid off her shoulders, pooling at her feet. She stood there in nothing but the moonlight, a masterpiece of silver and shadow. Naruto’s own gear followed quickly, discarded with a shinobi’s efficiency until there was nothing left between them.
When they hit the bed, it was like a storm making landfall. Felicia was all teeth and nails, her body lithe and flexible as she wrapped herself around him. Naruto was a force of nature, his touch firm and grounding. He explored the curve of her hip, the small of her back, and the sensitive skin of her inner thighs, eliciting gasps that turned into frantic cries of his name.
"Naruto..." she gasped, her fingers digging into his shoulders as he buried his face in the crook of her neck, his breath hot against her skin. "Show me... show me that power."
He didn't hold back. As they moved together, he let a fraction of his chakra bleed out, not enough to hurt, but enough to make the air vibrate with a golden hum. Every touch felt electric, every kiss felt like a brand. Felicia arched her back, her eyes rolling back in pleasure as the sheer intensity of his energy surged through her.
The rhythm was frantic, a reflection of their lives, fast, dangerous, and high-stakes. She met his every thrust with a desperate urgency, her legs locked around his waist, pulling him deeper into her. The world outside the penthouse, the Avengers, the hidden villages, the wars, and the thefts, all of it ceased to exist. There was only the heat of their bodies, the sound of their labored breathing, and the intoxicating scent of her perfume mixed with his musk.
As the ecstacy reached a breaking point, Naruto gripped her hands, pinning them to the pillow. He looked her straight in the eye, the fox's influence giving him a predatory edge that made her shiver with delight.
"Mine," he growled.
"Always," she choked out, her body trembling on the precipice.
They went over the edge together, a synchronized explosion of sensation that left them both spent and gasping for air. The golden glow faded, leaving the room in the soft, natural dimness of the New York night.

Minutes passed in a comfortable silence, the only sound being the distant hum of the city below. Felicia rested her head on Naruto’s chest, tracing the faint scars on his skin with a gentle finger.
"You know," she whispered, her voice uncharacteristically soft. "Most guys can't handle the bad luck that comes with me."
Naruto smiled, brushing a stray lock of white hair from her face. "I’ve been carrying a giant demon fox inside me since the day I was born, Felicia. I think I can handle a little bad luck."
She chuckled, nipping at his chin. "Good. Because I’m not planning on letting you go anytime soon. We have a lot of 'training' to do."
Naruto pulled her closer, the moonlight catching the satisfied smirk on his face. "Believe it."
