Gil Chae is my number one female protagonist (alongside Aeshin from Mr. Sunshine), and one of the things that fascinates me most about her is her resilience and leadership skills. Whenever a new hardship arises, she finds new ways to guide those around her toward a solution. She is definitely a woman ahead of her time. The final scene, when Gil Chae and Janghyun see each other again, made me cry the first time I watched it. Her shock and the pain in his eyes break my heart. Namgoong Min and Ahn Eun-jin are extraordinarily talented.

the uproar Ep 9 caused when it was airing! especially among knetz! Marriage is such a sacred and important part of Korean society and culture. That last scene caused a stir! I remember seeing comments from knetz like, 'this drama has 'gone to the mountain'' and others saying that the last scene felt like when you are eating sweet potato without a drink and it gets stuck in your throat!
